Have you ever gambled at 'out of place' place?

It doesn't mainly has to be done on a treadmill but in/at anywhere unusual for you to gamble comfortably which it doesn't have to be where your attention has to be divided simultaneously.

I have heard about people gambling while in the restroom and for that reason they stay longer in there more than expected even after disposing waste. I don't know if that can be said to be an unusual position for some people.

Gambling in the restroom at home happens especially when you want to place an urgent bet. Sometimes when there are some distractions at home like when there are visitors, you might cherish the restroom since it is quiet. Sometimes when my little nieces and nephews are around, the house is like a football field where you cannot concentrate. Gambling is a treadmill is risky activity and could cause an accident.

Many people think of multitasking as productivity but gambling while doing physical exercise like a treadmill can disrupt your focus and impair your decision making skills. So if someone is going to gamble they should at least choose a time when their mind is calm and there are fewer distractions. This makes it easier to stick to their financial limits.

In 2025 A man driving a public utility vehicle, or we call it Jeepney in the PH , is capable of carrying 20-30 passengers when seats are fully occupied, while playing slots. If you look at the video, he's obviously distracted and poses a huge risk, considering the number of lives he's carrying behind him.

I can call this "beyond" out of place. The man is from another dimension, lol!!

That's dangerous indeed. I mean, I see the traffic, and I already feel uneasy sitting on couch. If I was at passenger's place, I would be like, I want to get out, lol.

Earlier somebody mentioned, people gambling while driving but to see the actual video of the same makes me see the dangers of it vividly, not for person himself but for others as well.

A person who gambles out of place meaning where they need concentration yet they find the time to gamble in such situations I think it either means that they are looking for extraordinary thrill or they are addicted. Gambling for me should be engaged in when you are relaxed so that you can concentrate and enjoy the game you're playing, besides I think that anything that you put your money on deserves attention. If a gambler must gamble when they're in an activity that needs concentration let the thing not be what can endanger lives like driving or crossing a busy road.

So far, I haven't done such because it is like I can't concentrate on what I am doing and I might be pressing wrong buttons in case I am not in the stable position or other distractions where I can't think of what I am betting with. For me, it is still best to bet when you are focused as you will have less mistakes so to speak. But I admire those bettors who can do multi-tasking while betting. Most of them, I believe, are running out of time, and they are after for some specific betting lines of the sports they are following with. But they should not blame anyone if they bet on wrong teams just because they happen to press the wrong buttons.

If someone is gambling in an unusual position or place, it just means a sign of addition. I mean how can someone be gambling with his phone while driving when it is advised not to use your phone while driving. That is distraction and I see those taking such risk of endangering people's life as unreasonable people. I have seen people using there phone or checking on it at intervals while they are in swimming pool, maybe they are also gambling.

For me if I want to gamble, I don't stand or do it in an unusual position because I need to concentrate on my research and analysis, those take time and it shouldn't be done in a rush. So I don't gamble in a treadmill.

If you know how dangerous running on a treadmill can be when you are not focused especially if it is on a fast pace you wouldn't even try to do any other thing while while you are on it. placing a bet can take a lot of attention and it is going to disrupt other things that you are trying to do simultaneously with it, the best thing to do is focus on one at a time. working out and placing a bet can't be combined.

treadmill is a bad place to gamble while running on it because is something that doesn't like when the persons mind is not there and sometimes someone could be concentrating and still fall so if I want to gamble I would make sure I have finish all my gambling before going into the treadmill, is a different case if the person is on the treadmill and gamble when the machine has not started yet because it wouldn't cause anything to them since there wouldn't be any means of getting hurt, but truly there is no need of gambling in an odd places when someone could actually gamble after they have left the unadvisable places.

Gambling in odd places is weird and there are reasons why people actually do this, the first one is addiction, this can make people gamble in places that they are not supposed to. Why do you think someone running on a thread mill would be gambling knowing fully well that it is dangerous? That's what compulsive gambling does to anyone and overtime this addiction can keep on getting worse.

Hmm. I think the only out-of-place "place" that I can think of is the comfort room. Just sitting there with my phone, playing any slot games I think can entertain me while I wait for the number 2 to come out.

I don't do it in other places we go because, for me, it is the only time I can enjoy nature or the environment. Working from home, you will definitely not be urged to gamble while outside or doing other things. Even while I am cooking, I don't gamble at all. I will just enjoy what I do, and when it's time to rest, that's when I will open my phone and maybe play for a little bit.

I'm happy that this topic got an inspiration from my post. For those who are thinking about gym, I've seen that some of them really did a slot when I took a peak in a gym near me. Also some probably have their home gyms where they can do whatever they can while working out through their gadgets. I think it's not that odd at all when they're multi tasking and does it but, other odd places like doing it while on the toilet, there's something wrong with that since it's a time for yourself while having that moment.

It's impossible for you to gamble with laptop on a treadmill. It's very risky for anyone to be gambling with his phone while he's on treadmill because it's dangerous and can lead to severe injury if you slip off due to imbalance.

There is a user in this thread who also said that there was a taxi driver who was driving while gambling, it also happened to one of my bros, the difference is he was riding a motorbike which is more dangerous. It's absurd & dangerous, but that's the reality of what happened.

This might be associated with gambling addiction when someone cannot control their gambling activities. Gambling needs concentration, that's why I prefer gambling in a comfortable environment. However, I have been tempted to check sports games while walking on a busy road.

Oh, this could let me understand the topic more better now.
I was making the same mistake several times placing bets at the place not suppose to do so, sometimes placing bets on the road side which might caused some silly accident, I stopped doing so because the outcome isn't always better.

What causes such behavior is when football matches about to kick start, maybe on Saturday and Sunday, when almost matches about to start 16:00 evening, many gamblers so not care the place they are to place down their bet because of the time about to elapse.

Reading your response, I asked myself. Wait, did the OP write something that’s totally different from the subject? I even had to go back to check the OP if maybe I missed something while I was reading through the whole text but then I realized you’re the one who’s missing the whole point of the thread.

This thread is clearly not about gamblers using their assets to gamble or taking some huge risks that’ll put us in danger. I think you should try to calm down when reading through a thread, and also try reading a few comments and contributions to get a better understanding and insight on what is being discussed, rather than completely making off topic contributions.

I don’t know but for me, when people gamble in an “out of place” place like you simply put it, like in a treadmill, it kinda shows how obsessed the gambler is about gambling. If gambling is meant to be for fun, then people should set a particular time for it. I can’t decide to watch a football game while at work, or while doing another important task. Sharing or completely giving time meant for something else to gambling completely depicts addiction and submission to an uncontrollable itch to gamble.

This is true, we can be defensive in some situations but not in all situations, we have read a post where some was sacked from their job because they were caught gambling and we have also seen different situation which was even risky to the well-being of the bettor but they just didn't care about the problem it was going cause them, that's an effect of addiction.

Indeed if you are gambling and the thought of gambling is always in your mind such that you open your device and start gambling at any random place, it does indicate you are addicted and need to control it, because this thought is controlling the way you act.

There's one that I've seen, not me but also a so called 'jeepney' driver in my country. So, it's like a small bus that contains 12 or more passengers at the same time. And the driver that I've seen is playing the known game in my country 'scatter' it's a slots type of game. He's not bothered that he's got a lot of passengers that he needs to take care for and have to transport safely to our destinations. It's an out of place area where he should be focusing in driving and yet, he's trying to make some distraction through gambling.

You don't need to gamble in that manner because as much as you can you should be relax before taking your game, because there are situations where being in a compromise position could result into accident and for that reason one need not to gamble out of place, although we may find ourselves in some situations that could push us into gambling in that manner but then is not something that is frequently encountered or encouraged.

Do you get the point? What I consider "out of place", may actually be a comfort zone to anyone else. Personally, I can't gamble on a treadmill (let's start off with your example). Sounds really uncomfortable to do, just by typing it. I'm not an Olympic medallist, so I don't have to multi-task -- that's like trying to gamble while on the steering wheels, on a high way.

There's a level of relaxation that I need to make any selections. If something's bothering me, I don't gamble. I sort out whatever it is. The dopamine fix, for me, has to be more of a relaxing procedure.

I actually think you get to come to learn new experiences and new techniques if you are adventurous with gambling and that's something like an out of place style but rather not planned.
If gambling was the only thing that could save your life in an out of place environment, won't you at least give yourself a shot?
If you went out with friends and happened to see a beautiful person you intend to impress, won't you try to blend in or show old skills to not feel dumb and win hearts?

Definitely i have played in everywhere, but with online gambling what would be "out of place"? Or aren't people using internet in "out of place" places as well? I am guessing everyone gambles in a toilet, right?

I have gambled in a swimming hall, during a date, in a sauna, in gym and hell, even in a shower with protective plastic bag. I have also gambled while watching a movie, while cooking, while supposed to entertain my guests and while driving a bicycle and on roller skates.

I haven't gambled while driving a car, and while i like to take some credit for that, i don't have a license to drive. I have also gambled 3 different games at the same time, so i have gambled during gambling as well.

I guess i one could say i had a problem.
