What’s Your Take on Telegram Casinos?

Telegram casinos have been getting popular lately. I’m not really a fan of them, but I’m curious how they actually operate.

I might have accessed one before, just to check how it works, but I never really played there. It feels different compared to the regular online casinos with proper websites that I’ve used before. So I’d like to ask those who have more experience with this. Since I haven’t done deep research yet, I want this to be more of a discussion.

What do you think are the pros and cons of Telegram casinos? And would you actually prefer them over traditional online casinos that have their own websites?

I never used them and the closest thing I have used is what whalebet which operates both via telegram and a regular website but if I am not wrong they discontinued their telegram version and focused on their website after that. It is no wonder why they are getting popular is because people just want the convenience and they are not even ready to register on a platforms so the casinos are trying to integrate the services along witht ehapps they are using regularly such as telegram. I don't see any pro in using it aparet from not registering on a platform.

I have had bad and heard bad experiences on Telegram and I have automatically associated anything done on telegram as a likely scam and even if they are not, they hold a very low rating for me. Remember the time when there was Telegram wallet (I don't know if such still exist), and it was all warnings not to use them, so is how I think of telegram casinos.
I rather stick to the known and what real people have shared their experiences on which are the real casinos like the ones we have here than try any casino operating on telegram.

I haven’t encountered this so-called “Telegram Casino” yet but if ever I stumbled across one, I would try it but I wouldn’t invest my resources into it.

The reason is simple- Telegram is a social platform which is notoriously known as the haven of scammers and other shenanigans. The more time you are exposed to that platform, the easier that scammers would message you given that you’re already in their environment.

While some may find Telegram casinos worth it or convenient, I am very much against the idea of staying in that platform for a long period of time given its security and privacy measures involved.

Personally I haven't tried it, I'm not as comfortable as with the platform/web based casino. I'm wondering are those kind of platforms only offers casinos games or provably fair games or do they even have sports betting? If that's the case then, I would definitely try the sports betting however in the past few platforms I've seen before, I think it's only casino based games right? Anyway, if I'm going to use it in my phone I would just rather use the browser instead of the Telegram casino. Anyway, are you referring to Telegram app they have or a Telegram casino standalone platforms? If yes, I don't think so, I'll stick with what I get used to and they only advantage they have is that you can easily connect your account to the site, I'm not sure about the cons actually since I haven't tried it.

Many of the telegram casinos also have web casinos. I go for the casinos web games.

I have not used a Telegram casinos before but I know that the games are different from web casinos but the telegram casinos offer slots, poker, roulette and many other games that web casinos are offering. The telegram casinos can load faster, have more simple interface and more mobile friendly. Web casinos have better quality.

I prefer to just gamble on web casinos.

We know there are a lot of scammers on Telegram, so casinos built mainly around Telegram with very few followers feel risky to me. I’m not saying they’re scams outright, that’s just based on my experience and opinion.

I prefer casinos that have a proper website and only use Telegram for communication or announcements. When it’s Telegram-only, especially with a no-KYC setup, it may sound convenient but the risk feels too high. I wouldn’t put a significant amount of money there.

Actually there are big casinos out here offering that feature, but still even if they are known casinos I didn't really find playing on telegram attractive. Because fairness maybe questionable and I think its so boring to play there.

What I think most people here prepare to play on their site, because people is comfortable dealing with those games they like to play. We have lots of casinos here and I don't think telegram casinos will continue to became attractive to those people currently trying their luck to play there. Because interest changes over time and most of people will shift then go back to sites they are playing.

It’s for regular user but I don’t preferred using it for security purposes. Telegram account can be deleted if there’s no activity for a certain period of time. I already have multiple account on telegram that got deleted since I don’t use that frequently for social media apps since we use messenger most of the time.

There’s no difference too on the gameplay between the telegram and playing the casino in the regular browser.

I still preferred the regular online casino on web browser but I see the potential of telegram casino app for telegram user market.

It’s really just a matter of preference. These casinos exist because there’s demand for them. Telegram casinos are popular mainly because they usually don’t require KYC, and that’s why some gamblers prefer them.

I’m sure we have a few Telegram casinos in the forum. If they can build a solid reputation over time, that would help them grow. and guys be honest, not all of us want KYC. Many people are in crypto because they’re looking for something different from traditional fiat casinos. If it’s the same KYC process, then it doesn’t feel much different.

That's the dilemma with telegram casinos, as they can easily get away if they want it. It may be nice app if you are always on the go but as much as possible, use small amount of money so you won't regret if suddenly the channel is down. Because the truth is, they can easily delete their channel without prior notice to its players. At least, with established casino site, they won't just delete or shutdown their operations without good reason.

I'm a little skeptical about telegram and other businesses that is done under it. One thing I don't know for sure is if those casinos under telegram are also licensed because control is quite important for the protection of players. Telegram has witnessed so many exit scam including the series of tap to earn program that didn't end well. So to rely on casinos that are running on telegram will really be difficult except they also have a website version.

Telegram is tainted already because of a lot of scammers roaming around. Thinking about building a casino not only raised uncertainty but was simply ignored. Of course, I don't have to take risks with them since I know the story. I'd rather spend time in a trusted casino, and even if I lose, I don't feel bad about it.

I'm generally skeptical about anything that has to do with telegram because a lot of scams happen in that platform so gambling brands that are on telegram can be reputable but because of my lack of trust in telegram I avoid them. I'm more comfortable for casinos to have their site so if I want to access any I'll go straight to their platform. When it comes to casino preference I don't like to explore much, I like to stick with the known and reputable ones so I don't have to worry about scams with them. I don't think that telegram casino are much and popular but I might be wrong

That’s the beauty of it, and no question it’s a great innovation. Just like when a casino lets you log in using your Google account, they already get your email and account name.

The question is whether those Telegram casinos are licensed or fully unlicensed. If anyone here has used them, can you share your experience? Are they really no KYC, or are they like other casinos that advertise no KYC at first but later require verification when you try to withdraw?

Tried it before using Whalebet.io and it’s very convenient to create and login account via telegram compared to the traditional login. The only thing that I don’t want about this is I can only access my account on my device which my telegram was login.

I have separate device for work and personal use while my telegram was only installed to my personal device so that it will not mixed with my work used apps.

So you’d need two different numbers then? As far as I know, to create a separate Telegram account, you need another number to register. And since numbers usually require KYC to be activated, at least in our country, that number still ties back to your real identity.

Anyway, it’s not a big deal. If someone really wants to play, they’ll find a way.

The real question is, what do Telegram casinos actually offer that regular online casinos don’t?
Is it just convenience and no KYC, or is there something else that makes them different?
