As for me, I always start from a different priority, completing the necessary work that covers my essential needs finances, family, and health. It doesn't have to be 1 hour session, everyone should come up with their own timing, some gamblers will be fine with 2 hours depending on how they are risking their money or the strategy they have in mind.

I also think that if you win some money after few minutes of gambling, you should consider withdrawing some part, many people will end up losing if they pack the won amount with their initial and just keep gambling, slowly this will turn into addiction.

Greed is the greatest enemy of gamblers, if you enjoy gambling so much you can surely spend more than an hour but make sure that greedy doesn't consume you while you spend time on gambling.

Provided I have set up specific amount I am to use for the day towards gambling anything the money finished depending on the stake I chose I stopped, my time frame may not be accurate due to this policy of my because some time the stake I choose determine how long I stayed in the gambling, I figured out that this has help me even in controlling my expenditure and never to be addicted to the gambling. I think you are right, that is, it is not always possible to control time among gamblers who are addicted to greediness and are often driven by the desire to get a dopamine rush. Though other individuals may begin gambling just to simply have fun, feelings may take a turn fast, particularly after gambling huge payoffs or incurring huge losses. Win makes greed and drives a person to continue playing and a loss can hurt the ego and drive them to chase losses, which is even worse. This is the reason why discipline and self-awareness are highly valued in gambling. I spend more time on gambling during weekends when there are games to watch and bet on. It's just a means to relax after the five days of hard work. During weekdays, I spend very limited time because of my work schedule. Everyoe have the responsibility of choosing and allocating time that suits them. Using time for productive activity for pleasure is wrong.

Everyone may gamble for fun in the first place and I have heard many people say that they gamble for fun. But their main goal is not to have fun, they express it in a way that we cannot tell them or call them gamblers. Each person may present it differently but their goal behind it may be the same for everyone. There are many people who gamble and it has become like an addiction to them but they can control themselves.

I believe it is very essential to place a time constraint in the gambling as the time is not necessarily measured all the time. It is easily an on and off affair just like you mentioned, particularly when we are already on-line doing other things. The issue is that there is no definite line, a couple of minutes can pass unnoticed and turn in to a lot longer. I've been through these stages many times, when I'd lose and wanted to win it back, but one day I realized I had to rise above it, because at some point I'd run out of money and simply wouldn't know what to do. So, for several years now, I haven't tried to win back my losses; I simply close the game and go do other things, because I understand how it will end. I'd rather start playing next time with a fresh mindset, and even if it doesn't bring me much pleasure, at least my balance won't be at zero. I think many players are still on the path to achieving the same self-control.
