I don't know if you need to limit yourself with time gambling, but it certainly would help keep you from massive losses and there is truth to the saying the longer you gambled the more likely you are to lose.

I liked the first part of your post though.  Too many people gamble to try and make money instead of have fun.  It isn't a replacement for a job, it is a replacement for activities when you have none.

Actually, it is not possible to maintain an exact time for gambling, but I always allocate an hour for myself, sometimes I even give up gambling before that, and sometimes I waste a few times more time than that, depending on the situation I am in at that time. However, I consider 1 hour as a standard time because spending more time than that will be a waste of time for us and pushing ourselves towards addiction. Because the longer we gamble, the more our emotions towards gambling will increase and this will be very harmful for us. A gambling addict can never give anyone a good return. So considering all aspects, I can use 1 hour for gambling without any problem.

I call it gambling session. I always have a timeframe for gambling and at a particular time of the day I gamble so that it doesn't encroach on my productive moments. I appreciate precision in timing and I try to be very specific with my fun moments which includes gambling time. I doubt where you say wise, anyone can gamble for money and see it as nothing because the fact that they are in for the money doesn't make them a desperate gambler. Everyone loves money, nobody on the internet gamble with intent to lose, the money is the purpose but they do it independently so they can freely express their skills and get the outcome of there prediction, that's what many gamblers do which is what I will consider a wise decision and not fun like you put it.

It doesn't make sense for gambler to be there 24/7, there is more about life to explore and enjoy what is beyond gambling. However, this can also be corrected from what you say. It's not good to follow the things you advice but there are people that do most of the things you are up against and still make money from gambling. You know why it work for them? I actually like gambling sites that have the built in time restriction function and most importantly they require a 24 hour "cool off" any time that you make changes to settings that might make you act more responsibly. It's actually better for the casinos/bookmakers this way because a gambler who acts with more thought it likely to last a lot longer as a customer than one who acts recklessly. I'd say an hour is enough too, because any longer than that you can start to burn out or go on tilt, where your emotions shroud your judgement. If things worked like that then casinos would go out of business very fast. Most of the people I know for money and I don't know any that has time to lose by gambling for fun for several hours, that limit of 1 hour is good for self-control for people who cannot afford a lot of money to be lost. I have seen streamers saying in their videos that we are starting today session and let's hope to get that neat profit, of course this is legitimate and it is what every gambler most probably thinks despite not saying this out loud. I personally spent 150 dollars these last two days in Le Fisherman slot playing the lowest bonus and it was massive losing, I had allocated all that money, it either made me a max win of 1500 dollars with 0.10 dollar bet or losing it all like I did. When you hear the slogan gamble with what you can afford to lose, it is not about money. Time is an important resource that shouldn't be wasted. So you have to gamble within the time you have allocated to entertainment. When you start using time for work and other productive activities for gambling, it would have an adverse effect on the life of such an individual. It could be less than an hour or above it. What matters is that such a time doesn't affect your work and family life.
