Do not waste your time on cloud mining apps, most likely a scam

So, I just saw a video titled "How to mine Bitcoin on your phone" in youtube. I thought it was real mining (using computing power), but it turns out it is not real, and the mining process doesn't make any sense. In just a few seconds, the YouTuber has already received mining results, wow, it would be really interesting if it were real, but I am really sure it is 100% scam.

After researching the app further, I discovered that many people have complained about its fraudulent characteristics.

Some of the things, I discovered:

1. Fraudulent calculations
One user complained about losing his mining results (many users have experienced the same thing), and he said he had lost his mining results several times. Another user said he regretted purchasing a high hashrate. I don't know if he purchased it with real money, but I noticed that the app requires users to watch ads to mine. Even if real money is involved, it is very dangerous.

2. The developer didn't respond to user complaints.
One user said he had paid for faster mining, but there was no response at all regarding his activity status. He also said that the app developer didn't respond to his complaint.

3. Fraudulent Minimum Withdrawal
Several users have complained about their mining progress disappearing, even after meeting the minimum withdrawal. Others have complained that their progress reset, when they were close to reaching the minimum withdrawal.

4. Fraudulent Referral Program
One user complained that, he lost his referral value.

5. No users have been successfully paid
After reviewing numerous reviews, I haven't seen anyone successfully withdraw their funds. In fact, some have been using it for months without making any profit.

Conclusion: You should avoid this mining (fake) app, or any similar app. It is just a waste of your time without producing any results. You will end up wasting your time, and you might even lose money, if the app offers features/plans to be purchased. In essence, it should be better to ignore it, and never try it.

Personally, when I first started out in crypto, or when I was first learning about crypto, I tried a similar to the fake mining app. At that time, I tried several sites that resembled cloud mining apps, but ultimately regretted it because I wasted my time. The same problem often happened to me: "Reset progress/results lost," and the sites always disappear after some time.

By the way, some of the newer reviews show that some people are still trying it, even though many of the reviews label it as a scam. So, I advise you not to be the next victim.

It is not just about cloud mining app, but including everything that is called clue mining. Since I have known about bitcoin and other coins few years ago, what I know about cloud mining is that they are the honeypots of scammers. They will tell you that it is free, you will join and see premium services thier just to attract you to pay them money. Almost all if them more than 99.99% among them are scam. People are only wasting their money or time on the them.

Just when you read this just get to know that it's a trap to scam you and get your money.
The thing is that mining bitcoin requires a lot of hardware requirements and so mining bitcoin on phone is near to impossible.
Unless you have hundreds if not thousands of phones and create a mining rig out of it, which is really stupid, it doesn't make sense.
So just avoid anything that says bitcoin mining on phone.

Cloud is quite similar but its theoretically possible to mine because server configuration can be scaled to mine bitcoin.
But then again, if someone has such a configuration then why not they use it to mine bitcoin for themself.
So practically, it doesn't make sense to invest in cloud mining either. Better to stay away from those as most of them are traps.

Cloud mining stopped being a thing years back. And I guess majority of new crypto investors may not be aware. What we have now are just scam site or apps developed to make money with promises of receiving rewards after certain tasks. I've seen these apps as they are a complete waste of time. You sign up to a said mining station, totally free and the reward comes in very small.. you see options to boost your mining by paying for premium pools which are much expensive. It's very easy to avoid these kind of scam because someone who has done his research long enough would know that you can't mine bitcoin using your phone. It's very easy to fool people that are desperate to fulfil their dream of becoming rich over night..

The problem is also about these people that are only referencing their research through YouTube videos.

If they verify the information through various sources including the forum, they'll know that cloud mining apps are likely to be scam.

And the real way of mining is going to require them sums of money to buy the asic miners and it will also require them to pay electricity.

Many of these video content creators are only doing these videos for them to get more views while misleading their audience.

I stopped doing this shit a long time ago after realising that they are scammers. The way the package these things will make people think there are genuine only to turn around and waste people's time and energy. I know how much resources and time I have committed to those mining yet all failed which is why I see them as scam and not worth my time and resources. I was thinking about the same points bro; One, op spent time checking the app and somehow was waiting for a positive result. As if he got paid from that app, he would say that it's possible to use mobile phones to mine btc (most funny that it's about btc in particular, not even another lighter network). Op himself seems not to do his own researches before joining into this club of naives. Two, the point you mentioned that most of cloud mining apps are scams. It's like there are few which are legitimate.

Op, I would like to ask you to mention one of the few rest of mobile mining apps that are suitable for cryptocurrency mining. Not just btc, you can mention apps for any other cryptocurrency from your preferences.

Your mobile phones do not have the capacity to mine bitcoins. If it were that easy as the platform had promised, people will be mining bitcoins from the comfort of their homes. Major red flag many will ignore is how fast the rewards were said to come. Mobile mining apps should not be trusted. Purely scam site, I watched the YT video channel and its from Indonesia just waste your time only if mining for free you can't withdraw yet although have reach the minimum amount to withdraw. Its purely MLM way if you want to increase mining reward must deposit and have each level kinds based on your deposit amount how much earn in daily, weekly until monthly.
Right now difficult to find trust mining site for bitcoin or altcoin but if any site exactly have lower small reward earn from mining app, I found the trusted mining website trough bitcoin but its happening last several years ago and my withdrawal success landing to the wallet but right now that site have been scam.

I doubt that OP can mention legit cloud mining websites and it would be just stupid to vouch for it. But you can't say that all 100% cloud mining websites is scam when you can't guarantee such thing. Maybe there is one or two legit websites don't know, but in such situations I like to say 99.99%

At this point i think no app is to be trusted again, because how can some apps that people have been using many times is now being used to scam people, some even give fake coins, people who are using those apps should stop immediately before it is too late and become a regret for them, it is now show that scammers are everywhere, I know that scammers are everywhere but even to the extent of using mining apps to scam people show how serious and dangerous it will be in the future. I don’t even like those kind of apps but they are people who like them and it is time for them to start avoiding those things, some people will be benefiting from it but we should be careful and never believe in everything we are doing.

I am sure that cloud mining is just a scam. They don't actually provide mining rigs that users can rent in the cloud. What they do is basically spin users' money around and use new users' funds to pay returns to old users, and so on. If there is a problem, they will surely say that there is network maintenance or increased difficulties, so they adjust their services and make users pay more for something that never existed in the first place.

I never believed in cloud mining from the beginning because I thought it was just too good and too easy --- anything that is too easy must have something behind it, and most likely it is a scam to attract people who want to make money quickly.

When we talk about "Cloud Mining", I think it is about service providers that allow anyone to use their services to mine crypto, especially Bitcoin. Some platforms that provide these services include NiceHash, or MiningRigRentals, and maybe there are some other names that are also famous. In my opinion, these platforms are what constitute real cloud mining, not fake cloud mining platforms that offer fake mining services (without actually mining using computing power). So, I think we need to differentiate between "Real Cloud Mining" and "Fake Cloud Mining". I think you agree with this.

So, my question is: "When did the term "cloud mining" become a pyramid or Ponzi scheme?" and,"Which came first: real cloud mining or fake cloud mining?".
