About the language, it seems that everybody got the language by default according to his geo localisation. It's english by default for me because my native language (arabic) is not yet supported. I had almost the same experience. After entering the promo code it said that the 150 free spins were credited, or something like that.
When I opened the game, the balance was zero also, but this is not supposed to be a problem as that’s supposed to be the real balance which is actually zero.
The problem is that I couldn’t place any bet and the game seems to be broken (issues connecting to server!). Do you get the same error message when you click on the spin button?

They are clearly a KYC casino. It's clearly written on their AML page, so there shouldn't be any doubt about that part. They are just marketing it as no KYC for which reason I have no idea. While, a few days ago, I saw another casino with the same conditions, but they claimed they needed to add the KYC rules because of their licensing provider, but they don't plan on doing KYC. But that's not the case for vegabet. They have three levels of verification, which will get triggered at certain conditions. And, I don't believe there are any way to avoid that.

I am also having a similar experience. I played The Dog House Pragmatic Play and won $9 from it, but what I see whenever I click on the meter/progress bar is "you need to place more bets for the amount of 907.0 USDTTRC,"  which confirms the 100x wager you are talking about.

Well that's part of the challenge and maybe best to treat those FS they give as way to test their casino, let the faith tells if you are going to hit that wager requirement or not.

You have to complete that terrible wagering requirement by using your own funds. I have won around $23 from the free spins, and I need to wager almost $2300 by making deposits to receive the free spin winnings. It doesn't look like a 'no deposit bonus' by any means. The 100× wagering requirement is not only terrible but also impossible to complete with positive PnL stats .

They are also using wrong information for marketing purposes. Vega.Bet isn't a KYC free casino. Their terms say the opposite.
