How to avoid beggers and scammers on Bybit p2p with automated payment traders

Since Binance, Okx and Kucoin exit Nigeria space, the biggest platform for dollar to naira conversion remains Bybit but we have learnt that most of the scammers and beggers from other p2p exchanges has migrated to Bybit.

True true, I nor dey like recommend Bybit to anybodi wey dey new for dis industry because of dat rubbish. I dey prefer take dem through Bitget first. At least, scam neva dey too rampart there like for Bybit.

You hardly see a merchant(buyers) on Bybit that doesn't beg for money, they give you all sort of excuses to beg, excuses like Bybit charge them fee for been a buyer, they don't make enough profits from the business...

Dat is why e dey good to always read every merchant's terms before I proceed wit dem. I believe sey all of dem dey add their terms and conditions there. If anyone nor add am there and com wan play smart, u go warn am straight up. As for me, I neva jam merchants like dat myself.

Trade only with automated traders

Na dis wan I neva try bc I dey like do manual selection myself to look for merchants wey strictly dey adhere to d No Third Party policy. My thinking be sey automated traders go dey use company account pay and na why I dey avoid dem. Anybodi fit confirm whether my suspicion dey wrong? I have meet a merchant who does this kind of instant transfer on bybit but I have not been able to always remember the particular merchant  in case of next time. If not that you have explained how they were able to be that fast in payment I was wondering how they were doing it because the moment you enter the section of the transaction it automatically paid you without taking your time, actually if all the merchant would be using that kind of automated payment method bybit would have been an exchange someone would not meet any scammers on their P2P but is unfortunate only few merchant are reliable.

Bybit p2p mariehave been in a State of mess for quite a long time now since attention shifted to the exchange for majority of naira exchange t has become the normal norms for most Marchant to either trick you by putting unreal price at first and when you click on their order the change price, and those begging for rate dropping or tipping off some amount from the total amount, they will start by even praying for you, and saying boss you done pass this one na, who told them I am boss in the first place abeg make them shift jor, block report them ASAP no time.

If my memory serves me well, I think I have had just one experience, and when I got the message from the buyer, I didn't reply.  Personally, I have witnessed this . However, there is no kind of behaviour that people cannot put on online just like in the physical world. I think there is no need listening to anybody begging you for money on bybit P2P because both the buyer and the seller are involved in thesame business, you that is selling, if possible you even want to sell at a higher rate, so that begging does not work at all. More also, like you said, these set of people who beg should be avoided. What you are doing is business, so do your  business with trustworthy merchants who will not cause you to loose your money.

Sometimes, you can witness some sign of fraud in this P2P platforms, be very careful and ensure you don't release your crypto asset before being paid, and even after being paid ensure your money is safe and intact in your wallet before releasing your crypto asset.
We have had complaints, and reports about how people lost their crypto asset as a result of selling their crypto asset in errors. They sent their crypto asset before receiving payment which is an error.

This has been discussed on several occasions and I will have to drop just few steps to take to ensure your safety.

1. Make sure that you don't get to chat with any advertiser off the Bybit exchange no matter how.

2. Make use of verified advertisers, check their ratings and also avoid making use of Express, only make use of the manual P2P for your order.

Using the normal p2p doesn't mean ypu wont come across this people,  they are all over the exchange.  While trying to trade, you will always see traders who still beginning to negotiate their own price which the price of what you are to trade is already there. The best thing to do is always to report users like this. Most times they dont send the actual amount,  instead they send low amount and come into the chat box to beg, at this point is just to make an appeal,  when an appeal is being made they dont even have any excuse thsn to the right thing. Please, always try and verify your payment on bank app before you release to them, I have not received less amount from any merchants that are automated but when I do, I still go to my bank app to check the amount if it's the same on the Bybit trade, and they are always the same. I advice you to always do the same as precaution.

That has always been the general standard of confirming p2p payment before releasing funds to vendors, and sometimes what I usually do is try to buy data or Airtime with the money I was just sent into my bank account, to actually confirm it is not a fake alert, and likewise check the bank app and not just sms. There is also a button to report incomplete payment; this way, you keep your coins and the buyer's money until they complete your money. Some can deliberately delay you if you refuse to their demands so just agree to whatever they say and use the appropriate report button after receiving incomplete payment.

That button exists for a reason.

With what you have explained about automated merchant, I think I have traded with them countless times and they pay in seconds, which made me wonder ''how come'' cos many of my trades take between 15-20 mins before pay.

Well, I don't think I have once failed to look out for the reviews and percent rating of all these Bybit merchants each time I want to trade with them. Even the automated traders, I read their reviews(the bad ones), what people have written about them. Have they been accused of a scam or whatever in the past

Simply the best and a very good way to handle them. You know, I have fallen for there begging tactics severally, sometimes 1k or so. I got so angry one day when the Marchant was insinuating to cut almost 3k from my money. I was so mad and shouted, then he apologized and he took 1k. But when I discussed with a friend, then he told me of this automated pay from verified accounts or institution. Though I had experienced such payments before but never knew it was for specific accounts that pay like that. So this time, I decided to search for them and I found it out, and it was amazing. That's just the best way to go about it, and if you happen to happen to get involved with those scammers, threatening to report then is simply the best

@Antotena you have done extremely well by sharing this update to the Nigerian local board because the rate at which begging has become a normal thing in bybit p2p is just too alarming. Yesterday I made a direct practical with what you explained here and how to avoid them, bro everything went perfectly well, and I was credited in less that one minute the moment I initiated the sell order of $70.
I am really grateful for this update because since I engage more in p2p transaction daily, just like a merchant, it would really be helpful to me and it's time saving in buying and selling of dollar I do in most days that am less busy, kudos op🥂🥂

One thing about p2p trade is that when trading you should solely look out for those who has a higher trading volume and only this you would avoid them because there are people who open smaller trades and began to bargain prices with you. I personally have encountered them severely and what i do tell them is that if you are not paying the exact amount on the trade I wouldn't release your assets.

The best way is just to report anyone who’s involved in such act and also avoid trading with random merchants on Bybit, Bybit don rass, everybody just Dey do wetin them sabi now, so Na time to apply extreme caution be this. Just like the OP talk, the best option is to trade with merchants who use bots for their payment. At least they won’t waste your time or try to start begging you for money to cover some fees that doesn’t even exist.

I don experience am too o. We begin bargain in this particular trade, I just tire tell the guy to remove only #200 and pay the balance.
All their reasons no pass say currency don dip and they no wan make loss, so na me supposed incur the loss abi?
There was also another guy that when I refused to accept his bargain and asked him to cancel the transaction, he used a very bad reason to cancel the transaction and taint my profile.

It's just too much and it needs to stop, I don't know if Bybit is aware of such activities by traders that advertise their prices on their exchange.
