how do these ninja wallets distinguish from the former ninja wallets (released some years ago)?

Great question! In fact, we almost named these Ninja Wallets 2.0. Smiley

We only released a handful of copper star wallets during their original run in Summer 2022. They were all hand-stamped back then, and many of those stamps were a little wonky looking (double-stamped, lopsided / uneven stamping, etc). Therefore, only a handful of stars were ever released. (We shipped only the perfect stars. The imperfect stars, which were most, if I'm being honest, were either sent to the scrap pile or sold as factory seconds at a steep discount.) Offhand, I'd guess that we only created a dozen or two perfect sets before we stopped producing them altogether.

However, we get asked about them quite often.

CUSTOMERS: Can you release more of those copper ninja stars? Maybe a ninja throwing knife too?

ME: Kunai? Shuriken! (A double-pun so bad, it's wonderful!)

The new stars do have a few differences tho. While we use the same front and back main stamps, they are now stamped with much more precision using a powerful, custom-designed, high-tonnage coin press. That means every star is almost perfectly replicated with very little problem pieces. Secondly, the new stars have a milled pocket underneath the holographic security sticker, leaving the sticker dead flat after application. (I need to get some pics of that. Thanks for the reminder!) The original run was pocket-less. Thirdly, the original run did not include the new throwing knife design, which, personally, I love. Fourthly and lastly, we now have three metals from which to choose — yellow brass, copper, and titanium. All solid. All pure.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Chris@TBPCO

Thanks for the question, CGD.

The stickers are not pre-affixed, which allows the buyer to generate their own private keys. However, we do plan to release some buyer-funded, pre-keyed wallets in the near future. (A super cool limited edition project, so keep an eye out!)

Thanks again. Smiley

Great looking items Chris, I especially like the throwing knives!

On the topic of DIY wallets, I would love to see a set of these released already assembled too. Most of us are not buying pieces to actually load crypto onto, so if we purchase a DIY piece, they typically never get assembled and always feel somewhat incomplete with the hologram living off the item. As collectors, even if we never plan on selling the item, of course we care about resale value to a degree and an item with a wallet made by a second hand buyer is never a positive thing, always much better for the wallet to be made by the creator IMO.

I wonder how people are looking past the giant red flag on this user....

@Paypal Penny  -  Are the funds collected from these sales being sent to the user you still owe one full bitcoin to?

If they are... FINALLY!

If they are not... it's truly a DISGRACE that you are back here selling and it's disgraceful that others would support anything you create.

p.s.  I'm sure the owner of the kilogram of gold you "lost" probably wants a piece of those sales as well.

Good morning, Brian. I thought it was time that you'd start with the rumors again. Remember when you claimed that I was dead broke, but then a few posts down, on the same thread page, you claimed that I was living the life of luxury as a millionaire? Or when I sold my beloved Jeep Wrangler in order to gather money to send customer refunds? You told everyone that I didn't sell it, and that it was a lease, when in fact, it was an old 2001 which was paid off in full years earlier. So many good times.

And as a side note, you may wish to rethink calling me "PayPal Penny." While I do enjoy good alliteration, I wonder if attacking me for accepting PayPal (in addition to the usual crypto) is the wisest choice. After all, every crypto-collectible-maker in the world will accept PayPal in the customer can't or doesn't wish to pay with crypto. I know a few of your favorite makers, and they all advertise that they accept PayPal. Accepting PayPal in order to make purchasing goods easier for the customer is not a bad thing, in my humble opinion. Maybe I'm wrong. But if I am wrong, then perhaps you should attack all your other favorite crypto-collectible-makers. Individual private sellers too. Just a thought.

Chris@TBPCO

PaypalPenny is perfect... you were never a believer.  you don't deserve the name bitcoin in your handle.  you turned every penny into fiat.  just the address in this thread alone has had over 121BTC accepted.  You kept NONE... 5% is nothing to put aside for a believer.  You wouldn't be here a disgraced maker who is in massive debt.  You'd be enjoying life like the believers who held on to some of their bits.

Rumors... that was not a smart thing to say you scumbag!!  You're claiming you don't owe anyone one full bitcoin for a one bitcoin loan you took years ago?  You haven't paid them a single Sat and you have the balls to call it a rumor.  You really are a piece of work.

I am still owed as well for a prior release that was never fulfilled.
I will not be purchasing any new items until the item is delivered, or BTC refunded in full.

Come on, man. You have absolutely no idea if I was / am a believer in crypto. LOL ("Believer" sounds a bit cultish, but you do you.) And yes, like every business that accepts crypto payments, we must liquidate those payments into fiat, because everyone with whom we do business requires payment in USD only. From private mints to printers and publishers to web services to monthly utilities to out-of-house production facilities to R&D to prototypes to special machinery to... Every company requires USD fiat to run, produce goods, and stay open. Every one of your beloved makers does this. It's just how business is done. To criticize us for accepting PayPal and/or converting crypto payments into USD is silly.

And not everything you think or say is a complete lie. I never said that. (But most of it's untrue or deceptively based on half-truths.) Perhaps you simply fell for rumors started by another person? I have no clue.

Yes, I do owe a debt on a bitcoin loan. What you may not realize is that while the loan was outstanding, I sent free merchandise to the loaner as a kind of interest payment. Every single product that we ever released, the loaner received at least one free. To be honest, the loaner may have made the loan payment back off simply reselling the free items. I know for a fact that the loaner resold just one of those free items for .15 BTC alone. That's from only one of the many free items. Plus, that loaner received quite a few massive discounts long before the loan ever began. Am I still in debt? Yes. Has the loaner made a profit? Yes. Regardless of these facts, the loan is really not any of your business.

As for other debts, as geophphreigh mentioned above, we owe 3 refunds on a long-term project that was such a dumpster fire failure in R&D / manufacturing, that we recently (last week) decided to abandon the project and simply issue refunds. (It's a shame, because the project was epic. Maybe too epic, as it turns out.)

So yes, we do have a few lingering company debts. Almost every company does. But those last few debts will be wiped away very soon. I think that you're still hung up on a couple years ago when we went through some very hard financial times and we owed several silver and gold coins to pre-order customers. However, you can breathe easy knowing that all those debts were settled long ago. Did those debts leave people with doubts and concerns about our viability as a company? Absolutely. But those debts have long been settled. I would argue that our history of settling all those debts (even if done slowly over a long period of time), proves that we are, in fact, doing the right thing and acting responsibly to the bitcoin community.

Look, it all boils down to this... You may still distrust us because of a serious financial disaster that we endured a few years ago. That's OK. You're allowed to feel however you feel. But continually trying to sabotage and publicly crucify us for financial problems that we settled long ago is simply...ungentlemanly. Why not say, "I distrusted you and thought you were a big scammer, but after seeing that you have been making things right since that time, I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, wish you well, and look forward to hearing that all debts have been settled and your hard times are far behind you."

Anyway, I do hope that you will eventually realize the truth of our hard work and transparency in bringing fun, cool bitcoin collectibles to the crypto market (since 2015).

Until then, I wish you well. I genuinely do. Maybe you'll let me buy you a beer if we ever meet again. Like the old days.

Regards,
Chris@TBPCO

Freebie items wouldn't even cover the interest over the years... come on, get real.  You fucked over several people that treated you like family.  You were invited to personal residences, you broke bread with all of us then spit in our faces.  You could have been honest, but chose to try and hide the fact and spiraled deeper into debt.  You took presale money to chase the debt and didn't deliver... you borrowed to chase the debt and never paid any of it back.  YOU made TERRIBLE decisions within your business... especially adding employee #2.  Dumbest thing you ever did TBH.  We all know it!  Your company could barely support one employee let alone a second.  I won't go any further unless you want me to really get into it...  Maybe reach out to the person you owe... start paying them back.  Make an effort instead of burying your head in the sand and pretending all is good.  If you don't think their blood boils every time you make sales and send them nothing then you are delusional.  Make people whole that you took money from but NEVER delivered and it's been years!  You have not kept up with customers you've owed, you just vanished for a long time.  As much as I wish all this never happened, it did.  I'm sorry I could never trust you again and I don't think anyone else should either.

p.s.  don't make the BF items you talked about with keys.  a maker in deep debt who lied about it for a long time with access to peoples bits, what could go wrong? Roll Eyes

edit:
It's absurd you play this off like a nothing burger... "all companies have debt.. blah blah blah"  I can't shake my head enough at you.
