Merit Rank System Formula

As far as I can see, there's no problem with the current merit system and also it works since it was implemented. For those who didn't create high/good quality posts didn't get merited then their accounts won't be able to rank up. One more thing, it's not just merits that are needed to rank up your account because it also requires activity points and If you didn't know is that a forum member can gain 14 activity points within two weeks period.

How is the merit rank system calculated? It seems like increasing rank in the early stages is very difficult due to the high requirements compared to the next rank.

For now:
Newbie = 0
Jr. Member = 1
Member = 10
Full Member = 100
Sr. Member = 250
Hero = 500
Legendary = 100

It's mean,

From Jr. Member to Member need 10x merit
From Member to Full member need 10x merit
From Full member to Sr. Member need 2.5x merit
From Sr.member to Hero Member need 2x merit
From Hero member to Legendary need 2x merit

What if

From Jr. Member to Member need 5x merit (5 merit)
From Member to Full member need 5x merit (50 merit)
From Full member to Sr. Member need 3x merit (150 merit)
From Sr.member to Hero Member need 3x merit (450 merit)
From Hero member to Legendary need 2.22x merit (1000 merit)

I'm pretty sure most members disagree, but this is just a calculation. There's no need to change anything in the existing system.

for  Legendary  rank should be 1000 merits . may be you made  a typing mistake .

This your suggestion to readjust the required earned merits in the forum rank up system looks pretty good for everyone especially those users who're with junk posts and finds it much difficult to earn merits in other to rank up to the next level but i think it'd be a waste of efforts for you because it'd be an approach of tempering the official assigned forum rulese.
So your "WHAT IF" would just end a mere exaggeration. So what about if this suggestion is approved and Theymos reduces the number of merit sources and their allocations on that course, would you prefer your proposed merits for the rank up? Because I think the system is as it's due to increase of merit flow system.

This is a good thing for new members so that they know how long it will take to take themselves to the next rank. Along with this, if you also tell the activity, it would be quite easy because even if the merit continues to increase without activity, our rank will not go forward. If we are a full member and we have above 120 activity, then to become a senior we need to have 250 merit and 240 activity, only then will we be able to achieve it. We have to work hard and make efforts so that we keep increasing our merit along with our activity so that we can complete our rank with full principles. After legendary, we do not see any other rank, after that our position keeps changing, which improves our reputation. Therefore, we have to keep our profile good so that we can go ahead and keep our self-respect good at a higher rank.

It might seem that way to you and even more so because you are of the”member” rank now and unlike newbie and Jr. member rank that didn’t take you months to attain, you also want the same to be of other ranks.

Well, you might not have noticed but, a lot of us went through this very system you find difficult today and there are a good number of users on hear in the forum with well enough merits for the next rank and are being held on by their activities.

That’s to say, it’s not the merit system that is the issue here but, what you’ve got to put. So, you should task yourself to do better and improve.

As other reputed members already pointed out, I also feel it is in fact, quite the opposite in the context of OP. Moreover, it is not about 'easy' or 'difficult' but finding you own pace and zone.

From what I observed the op isn't trying to know how the whole merit stuff works but why is not getting more merit as he desire, because from his write up he has at least little idea on how things are done in the forum. But what I will advise is that, first from your activities you aren't new on board perhaps you have spent long time here.

Try to take a better review of your self and try to fix where you aren't getting it right, improve on your self (your post quality, you knowledge about Bitcoin and many more) and merit will come at due time because you can't force it, let me be very honest with you this thread you just created show that you are desperate with little or no effort and it's not right and didn't speak good of you. However I will desire you grow than usual, just apply what I earlier said and you will see positive change.

One other thing that sucks these days is that you often can't even tell if a shitposter is using AI to buff up his language skills; I've never seen so many lower-ranked members making posts in very clean English, and that always makes me suspicious.  Eleven years ago up until recently, that was never the case (or it was extremely rare, anyhow).

OP, things might seem complicated but they're not so byzantine that the average person won't be able to figure it out with some time and experience.

also if you only want fully legit good posts there is a lot that has been done.

so it gets repeated.

the threads i had talking about why is bitcoin bad

and why is bitcoin good began repetitive in two or three pages so i froze them.

many threads are here solely as advertising medium.

ie every casino thread.
