On the other hand, American voters really don't like the increase in gasoline prices. This is already causing disapproval of Trump's foreign policy. So there are risks of losing the majority of votes in the elections. In addition, it seems that Trump's war did not go according to his plan, no matter what he says now that everything is supposedly fine.

At a minimum, the economies of the Persian Gulf countries are seriously disrupted. For example, all the long-term work on creating a secure financial and investment hub from the Emirates has turned into nothing. Real estate there is rapidly falling in price. And it became clear that the presence of American military bases in the country is a risk factor, not a guarantee of protection (it is also a sign of occupation).
Americans voted for Trump mainly because of his immigration policies. His promise to send back illegals and reduce the number of immigrants was well received by many. His campaign promises of not starting wars was also a key factor. It's clear now that he simply deceived people to get their votes.

In my country, we are going through terrorist attacks. And the cause was because of instability in another country close to us. Many militias that are fighting in that country are entering my country and causing insecurity.  The best way to experience peace is to ensure the stability of neighbouring countries. Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and others have learned now that peace in Iran is essential for them to flourish.

Since ~20% of the oil supply goes there, almost everybody is affected. I am already experiencing it to the point that I want to take a bike or commute.(It's sad because our transportation system sux)

Anyway, I assume that any ship that employs people would have a run-up in price insurance(if it wasn't included before) because passing through that is dangerous. So imagine, it's not just the oil but the safety of the people. Rerouting also costs a lot just because it's going to be a long journey, more impact there.

We all know the economic consequences of engaging in war between one country and another and how things can escalate to an extent beyond measure, we are going to look into the economic effects of Iran blocking strait of hormuz, you can read further from the Reuters report on this Iran vows to attack any ship trying to pass through Strait of Hormuz and we know if the standstill continues like this, the effect on global economy may trigger more inflation ahead the existing challenges and this will lead to escalated scenario with other countries using this route for their oil supply.

We all know the importance of oil in every country and how the mobility is, from within the Middle East/GULF countries, Straight of Hormuz serves as a narrow passage through the border of Iran down to many countries in which have their vessels pass through that same route for oil supply, we also see how the price of oil rises early hour of Monday this week because of the mountain tension that more possible delay could hold at Strait of Hermuz.

https://x.com/i/status/2028029212490404277

Let's try to compare some of the impacts that we are going to experience if this should continue and oil vessels were unable to grant access through this single route for oil supply to many countries.

Some of the Major Oil Exporting Countries Concerned

Iraq
UAE
Saudi Arabia
Kuwait
Qatar
Iran

Economic Consequences in Blocking the Strait of Hormuz

1. Inflation, this of course is a result of an increase in oil prices as major suppliers experience a surge because of the denied access and thereby inflating the prices they charge and this goes around to every marketer across the world.

2. There may be escalating war with countries like China, India, Japan, and North Korea because this is a global challenge and Europe and Asian parts will mostly be affected because of their dependence on energy supply through this route.

3. Escalating war, there could be a mount of military action against Iran over blocking strait of Hormuz as other countries would not take it lightly to retaliate and engage in military combat.

Yes, it is a problem for the global economy, as 30% of the world's oil production goes to markets via the Strait of Hormuz. Yes, it will be a big problem. But I think it will lead to active growth in production in other countries, such as Venezuela and some African countries. Not quickly, but very likely. Who will suffer? The global economy, the economies of the Persian Gulf countries. And... CHINA. China receives up to 40% of its oil through Hormuz. China will not receive oil from Venezuela. I am also not sure that China will be given priority in oil supplies from African countries such as Namibia, Nigeria, Uganda, and Ghana—they are more oriented toward contacts with the West and the Western market, and China's presence there is either absent or minimal because these countries have not allowed themselves to be trapped by “Chinese investments,” which are essentially aimed at high-level theft of countries' resources by China.
China's only “oil friend” in Africa is Angola, where China has poured billions of dollars into a model of “loans -> infrastructure -> inability to repay loans -> access to resources,” but this country is already the largest supplier of oil to China and is unlikely to be able to significantly increase supplies.

In short, it's an interesting picture for China: on the one hand, it has been feeding Iran, and on the other hand, Iran is “biting the hand that feeds it” by cutting off its access to critically important oil Smiley

India almost receive 70% of their crude oil via the strait of Hormuz and since it's closed the country is suffering with shortage of LPG (cooking gas) and government said commercial ones are stopped for now while domestic usage can keep on as usual but panic among people rise to a level that every petrol bunk is filled with long queue of vehicles and the direct victims are restaurants which are closed for a couple days now in most of the cities. The situation of India will worse if government didn't make any arrangement to sort out the oil supply.

For me, am feeling the impact of the ongoing war between Iran, Kuwait, Qatar in terms of rising cost of PMS products in my country.
From history of such events, once the price of PMS products rise, other sectors like food and rentage automatically goes high.
This war is definitely causing a global recession driven by inflation, there is shortage of oil and there is no saying what future impact would be.

There of course people benefitting from this war and I must say that they are evil to think they can place money above the lives of the common people struggling to survive.

When they tell them that elections has consequences, everything must not comes from emotional judgment but strategic. They were all fighting for man that will help them reduced immigrants, same immigrants that save their assets from the job they can't do. Some months back when I saw protest going about the ICE operation and how they are brutal to Americans citizens and I just laugh, all policies has effect on everyone including the rich and poor.
Why do I get this feelings that Trump is done with tenure, he doesn't have any plan on running the government anymore that's why he doesn't care about what he is doing. The first tenure, I thought he was been a lousy man that want to prove he rules the US but it looks bad than the way he did.

Oil price is already expensive here, I have seen local media quoting different price of fuel and I didn't know it was that serious until I went to fill my tank, this is the worst price I have bought fuel and the quality was bad, I guess we are not just going to worry about price alone but we are likely going to have low quality fuel on the market as this is opportunity for oil bunkers to smuggle in products.

The blockade of the Strait of Hormuz will have a devastating impact on countries that rely on crude oil supplies from the Middle East. This situation is already being felt in my country, where fuel prices have begun to rise. The situation will likely worsen if the government doesn't find a solution to the rising oil prices. Here so many people rely on oil and gas for their daily needs and small businesses. If these prices continue to rise, inflation will occur, and this will worsen the economic condition of our country, which before this war was already very bad.

Strange. Iran has allowed the passage of Indian tankers, probably gas carriers too. Has gas production in Qatar been stopped? But Trump allowed Russian oil to be bought in tankers at sea, and probably gas too. In general, the country should have reserves of resources for a certain period (a month, three months). You can't live and buy critical resources "off the wheels" - this is a short-sighted policy. Besides, India has been buying large amounts of Russian oil for pennies for several years - where is all this? Resold instead of making stocks? Then the reason for the fuel shortage is clear.

Its not strange at all knowing that India is their major player and Iran will also get affected if they lose those countries which buy them lots of oil. Also India is not there enemy that's why they made some exception and only restrict those countries which has been link to Israel and USA.

Qatar still produce oil, but the challenge is the threat of passing on Strait of Hormuz. I think they are just keep pumping oil and store it for awhile then let the tension between Iran and US together with Israel subside.

Iran allowed the Indian carriers to pass through the Strait seems to be a fake news because it is reported that there is no such agreement from the official source but there were two carriers passed through that strait on mar 11 seems to be something that they missed to stop. That's it.

India will be buying Russian oil but it's like 3-5% of total volume that we buy, and even those are just resold to Europ not to Indians, we are already paying like the highest taxes for fuels which is 160% taxes on top of the total cost and India mostly rely on taxes from these to run the economy.

Anyway India didn't develop their reserve storage as the requirements of modern day they still uses the storage space of 50 years back and India is a big country with 1.5bnpopulation that is why the reserves only last for 70days.

By this kind of blocking of the passage of the oil in the Hormuz is has a large impact to the world the transportation of the oil from the shorter time frame they need now rotate into longer way because apparently its currently blocked due to the war happens now of course most of the country right now are run with the help of the oil and there is a supply and demand right here. My country Philippines are way too far with the war happens but we experienced the impact of this blockage before the war started. The price of oil here is roughly 0.91$ per liter and now its roughly around the price of 1.24-1.88$ per liter which is most likely doubled from the price before and as per the news we only have 60 days oil reserved to sustain here in the country.
