That is indeed a dilemma that occurs in our environment. Friends, relatives, and family members can become victims of their ignorance about gambling. They gamble all the time, but do not understand how gambling should be done properly. If we are still struggling to find money for food, never use our money for gambling. There is no guarantee that we can change our life from a win. We might already be happy with small wins that make our meals better for a few days.

Maybe they're not just depending to it, but they are kind of very attached to it, like they're addicted to it?
Because if they have contemplated it for a very long time, their life have not changed, so they should have been going the other way to make their lives more survivable than just gambling.
IMO, they are actually an addicted gambler who can't live a normal life without doing it every single day. Gambling addiction does not only happen to those people who have money to burn, but also to people in the slums. In my place, those very poor people who don't have stable jobs, their past time is illegal gambling, and they do it every day.

Depending on gambling for survival is the mistake most niggas do, and this ensures they're always having a difficult life. Gambling shouldn't be your source of income because there's no guarantee you'll be winning from it, it's mental laziness and stupidity that makes people think they can make a living out of gambling. Gambling should be a recreational activity, something you do for fun.

There is no rules that says " if you are not a gambler yourself do not promote a casino", as you can see you are the one that's not serious, I am promoting a casino not because I am a gambler myself but because I want to.

The only thing that's close to gambling that I have ever engaged in is trading, so if I come out in the open to say the truth how is this a crime? I don't just understand you people on this forum.

From the few advises about gambling that I have read on here, getting serious with gambling will easily put you in trouble, gambling should be fun like they said, gambling should be a form of entertainment.

Sometimes it's best not to defend a mistake, else you continue contradicting yourself.
The best word should be Cautious and not Scary. You cannot comfortably advertise something that you're scared about, unless you don't have others interest at heart and want to put them to the possible direct harm that scares you.
You can always be cautious of the bad sides of something and still advertise it since there's no direct harm that comes with being in contact with such an entity and harm is dependent on people's attitude towards it and such is the case with gambling.

It is a big mistake to depend entirely on gambling for survival and anyone doing it has settled to joke with his finances. Gambling should be like a side hustle and never the main source of income. Establishing a business or getting a job is the right thing to do so that part of he proceeds can be used to finance the gambling activities.

Being able to gamble professionals requires specific tools, data, software, even hardware. It means knowledge, investments, patience and so on.
Gambling can't become a way for income. Unless you're taking "beer money". Unless you're taking this money as a nice way to spend and have fun.

You should be scared if you plan to gamble like them. Since you know how bad their life has fallen, take it as a life lesson not to get attached and addicted to gambling. I have also witnessed someone fall from having enough financially to begging for a day meal because of gambling, those are where we grab lessons and learn from, it doesn't mean we are supposed to stop gambling, but not repeating similar addictive activity as the other person whose life was destroyed by gambling.

Gambling is all about risk, these risks cannot be avoided, the only escape route is to discipline our attitude towards gambling, never seeing gambling to be part of our streams of income, and knowing we cannot be completely lucky on each deposit.

Thee is a big difference between "surviving" and "sustaining", and with the risk associated with gambling, it's not possible to survive alone from the profits gotten from gambling. Because I'm 100% sure that those friends of yours were not surviving alone from the money they got from gambling, but was rather sustaining themselves from the little money won from gambling over an interval of time.  Unless if you own a casino or a gambling house whereby you run it as business, that's the only way you can survive from gambling, since you are offering people the avenue to come risk their money, but not literally risking it yourself, and yet get paid for the services.

The problem with gambling stem from its addictive nature due to the presence of money and risk. When you combine both, then it gives you this false impression and hope of winnings huge amounts of cash by relying solely on luck.

Also just to mention, most gambling advertisements and establishments involve the showcasing of the total jackpot that you can win. This contributes greatly on the bias and justification of gamblers to continue in hopes of hitting that jackpot, in which 99% of the people wouldn't experience.

Their life would be different, but they do not want to settle down and pursue and stable life with steady money coming in exchange of their time and effort. Those people you are describing are pretty much blinded for all the advertising and promotion several casinos do on the internet (social media). It makes much psychological damage to always see winners of millions of dollars on the internet and never getting anything back from casinos and bookies.

Make no mistake, each one of us have a different lifestyle and one's lifestyle is something we actually chose when we reach adulthood and get the ability to profit from our time and skills. Those brothers did not choose the stable life and getting a salary, because they think easy money actually exist.

it is because there are people on this world and also on the internet who believe that having a job and being a productive member of society is one of the worst things which could have to one.

So to me it is not surprising there are people like those mentioned like OP. To them, it is better to live in the slums and continue to beg for the sake of gambling, instead of applying for a job in which they are expected to use their physical strength and inherit abilities.

I didn't refer him to avoid them, those habits can be contagious if you don't know your self and easily influenced. I won't stop being friends or avoid people i have a relationship with because of gambling addiction, many of us do have friends with bad habits that we do not partake in, as a friend who have the knowledge about gambling, you can actually lecture them on how to heal from addiction.

Yes, gambling is a game of probability and so also is life in general. Every business is based on probability too. There's no guarantee that every investor will make money on their investment. The only difference with gambling is that chances of winning isn't as high as it's in other business models. If we speak of loss, every business has it.

I see the problem in the fact that the human brain is very bad at calculating event probabilities. Although many people don't admit it. 🙋

Mathematical probability theory is essentially an abstraction. People tend to make decisions in life quite differently (without calculating the probabilities of various events). And when they try to estimate the probability of a particular event, they make serious mistakes. There's a famous joke about this. A stupid girl was asked, "What are the odds of meeting a dinosaur on the street?" She replied, "50 percent. Either I meet one, or I don't." Of course, if gamblers understand probability theory at the level of this stupid girl, their gambling tactics and strategies will inevitably lead them to disaster.
