How to see if someone replies to your posts? I can't find where it's appearing.

I don’t think there is anywhere you can get any notifications for new replies to your posts or quotes on this forum…but you can use trusted third party tools to receive show notifications.

Use this telegram bot by TryNinja: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5248878.0

Or
This web notification bot : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5537666.0

Yes, the TryNinja Telegram notification is very good. If you create a topic it will even suggest you to be noticed of new reply on the post. But it is worth knowing that you can click on 'notify' which you see on each thread, beside 'reply'. If you click on the notify, it will notify you through email if there is any new reply on the thread, be it your own topic or not. But that is if you have a valid email on your account on this forum.

How to see if someone replies to your posts? I can't find where it's appearing.
Well directly it's so hard to find who replied your posts.
But by the help of ⭕️ BitList.co - Bitcointalk Notification BOT [Telegram]( which is made by Tryninja) you can easily get notifications, who replied your posts or mentioned you. But for that you need telegram.

But if you don't want to use telegram, you can use the web version. Which is ⭕️ BitList.co - Bitcointalk Notification BOT [WEB] - no app required

And if you want to get notified for a specific topic. You need to track that topic. Which can be done by Tracked Topics Option. You will find that on telegram bot, as well as the web version.

For the web version, you need to click on "Tracked Topics" option, then past you specific topic link.

With the options already given above, there is other option aside from telegram & web.

If you are usually making use of mobile when you surf the forum then your best option is actually the telegram bot and it's very rare for you to miss notifications. It's fast and also scrapes data real fast too plus if you don't want to use telegram simplex also has abot for the forum I can't remember who created it I used it for some time and it's ok too.

As for bitlist I think I might just be getting to know about the web notification because I think it's the only one that I haven't really tried out in real time.

Without external tools, I expected a list of replies to appear on this page ?action=unreadreplies
but it doesn't.
Clearly, some of my posts have been cited by others in the past few days, and I still don't see the topics on this page. Maybe I'm missing something? Huh

I don't think we need a 3rd party for notification unless you want to receive notification through Telegram for new threads.
But if it's all about your thread, like Charless said above, the notify button from the top right of your thread should be enough to notify you of every new reply.
Just make sure you enable your email notification on your phone so that you will immediately see the notification from the forum.

I've been thinking here... we really have good tools like mentioned by @Hypnotizer, but in fact it is a third party services and even though they are reliable, there are people that do not like or simply do not trust in external toolsto bitcointalk.
So I ask: how difficult would it be to have an internal notification tool?

It could be something simple, I am not asking for any advanced features, just a blank page listen mentions with date and time, the user who quoted me, and a link that redirect to the post.

And to activate this feature, people just need to mention the user's name with an "@" before it, for example: @alegotardo

Would that be asking too much for something like that?

Did you pay attention on your ignored board list?

I test and if I choose a board for ignore in Modify Profile - Ignore Boards Preferences, then visit the unreadreplies page again, I no longer see any posts (unread posts) in threads belong to that ignored board.

I am not sure but it is a very possible reason with your account. Perhaps you ignored that or these boards while you were not aware of that action.

What kind of trust does any of those tools require? You either need to use telegram (>1 billion users), SimpleX, or a simple web page. Tongue

I use the watch list to check new topics or recent active topics, but it's no good for keeping track of who quoted/replied you. Also, there are no notifications... you need to visit the page. More like different purposes.
