Heatbit Trio error 101

I have a Heatbit Trio that I bought second hand that displays 101 error code after 1 minute or so The support is a joke they don’t even want to tell me what 101 means maybe it’s something simple but nobody wants to tell me just saying that I must send the unit for repair
Maybe someone knows and can explain what’s wrong with my Hetbit?
The cost of sending it from Sweden and repair is ridiculous high
I have been doing some digging about Heatbits Trio hardware and it looks like they are using a modified Antminer S9 controlled by Orange Pi Zero 3 maybe this will clarify some things for some of you perhaps this is a S9 error code or Orange Pi?

Do you have the app installed for this device on your mobile phone? Does it provide better info about the issue that you're facing?

Does the fan work? Could be internal overheating, maybe?

Hepa filter issue? Or if any of the air quality sensors are troubled which this device might have according to the shiny website of the product?

Did your second-hand device exhibit this behavior from the start when you got it or is this new behavior?

If the cost of sending it to a service center is more than the device itself, then either try to troubleshoot the problem yourself or seek help from other engineers.

Usually, this problem is caused by overheating and the underlying causes. Therefore, you need to disassemble the device and check the cooling system and temperature sensor, change the permeability grease, and clean the filters.

No lucky with the support unfortunately
The phone app doesn’t find my Heatbit
Fan goes on but dies shortly and then 101 code appears
It has been working for the previous owner
Everything is clean No filter issues

On most of the device that I know, that error 101 is usually related to connection problem.
I don't know how it works, but how did you connect this unit to the internet? I mean, to the router?
The issue might be just a connection problem; if there's an Ethernet slot, try to directly connect to the unit with an Ethernet cable and access it via laptop or PC and do a factory reset that should be the basic solution to do first before going to a deep solution.

I tried to search about this unit, but I can't seems to find any guide or firmware or something that you can use to reflash the unit.
Pretty bad no so much data about this but can you provide some info if there are few buttons and SD card slot from the unit?

"Fan goes on but dies shortly and then 101 code appears" This doesn't look like a connection issue, otherwise the fan would be working fine.
Online diagnostics are very difficult; you should at least be able to see the internal state of the components in a photo to rule out even the most absurd accidents.

Jzbond65, if you decide to disassemble the device yourself, please take high-quality photos and post them in this thread.

I watched a review video about this where they disassemble the unit; it looks more like a motherboard of a mini PC than an Antminer S9. The S9 hashboard will not fit on that case.

By watching the video, I can't seem to find any SD slot from the control board; the buttons are sensors.

This unit looks more like a portable heater than a s9 miner.



It looks like most of the users experience a bad issue having a connection issue about this unit, and most of the people regret buying it.

I don't think you have a chance to fix your issue; there is no data even on their website. I think their controllers are programmed via JTAG or serial, and the flashing method never been released.

If everything is in order and no problems are found upon opening, you can replace the chip and firmware. It's inexpensive; I've had this repair cost me $30-50 for my close partners.
But if the firmware isn't publicly available, that's a problem.
I would carefully disassemble this device
