With that kind of situation its better to be a gambler, because you have a chance to win and you will not feel sorry if you gamble with money that it's ok for you to lose, but spending money on a woman in school, then getting rejected, is like you have been shamed and betrayed.
It's worse to be betrayed by your feelings; it's like you lose millions of dollars in gambling.

That true atleast a gambler might remember to bet responsibly and be careful not to waste money and lose it all. Training a woman in school is done  out of love and the man would be in charge of the responsibilities with hope that the woman is he's, imagine if she disappoints him, all the man's effort and expenses on her is gone    It even more riskier than gambling whereby i onlty bet with what I can afford to lose. Betrayal is something I can't tolerate and I'm not willing to risk it.

Both of the options are not what I would settle down for, being a gambler or sponsoring a girl to school. They are the same thing and their chances of coming through is very low, so i won’t even think of relying or hoping something spectacular comes out of it. The idea of guys sponsoring the girl they love to school is like risking a lot of money that you cannot afford to lose, if she leaves you, you’ll be at big loss and may end up being traumatized.

If you love a girl too much, I think when taking such bold step, you both should come to an agreement of what your intention is and what the end result of the sponsorship will lead to. Well, you are right, this is a very difficult decision to make, as some will rather choose to gamble than to train a woman in school due to one experience they had or the other, while some might choose to train a woman in school, if it is a woman that they can trust such as their wives or their daughters and thats a good and smart choice to make, if they are actually related which he contributed to their lives to make them grow. Training a girl in school is not something I would advise someone to do. There have been many realistic cases about this, and you must not wait for things to happen to you before you learn; you can learn from other people’s mistakes. If you were a sharp guy in school, you would even observe how some ladies who had boyfriends training them were even more promiscuous. What is worse is when the person training the girl is not educated. This doesn’t outrightly say you shouldn’t help someone who is in need. But if you are training her with the sole purpose of getting married, then you shouldn’t be surprised when it doesn’t happen.

No reasonable man will ever want to train any lady in school for all the countless stories we have being hearing regarding that in recent time, so to speak most women are ingrate meaning they quickly forgot things you have done for them as a man and that's the way majority are, for me instead of wasting my funds trying to please a woman or going as far as seeing her through school I will rather channel that same money to my mum at least my mum will never stop praying for me  and I will feel more fulfilled than throwing it to someone that wouldn't hold it back when she will start unfolding her urgly side on me when she has finally arrived.

From this case and gambling, there is a similarity that the perpetrator experiences, where he suffers the same defeat, because even with gambling, the outcome is not necessarily pleasant either, so the similarity here is the heartache experienced by the perpetrator. But does that mean the perpetrator is her partner? To the extent that he is raising a girl and intends to marry her, in my opinion, if there is no certainty, it is not advisable to be excessive, even if it is a good deed. Similarly, with gambling, if one gambles continuously, it is also excessive, so the outcome can be disappointing because there is no certainty.

I have come across stuffs like this several times and sometimes I watched it in movie and so, people should have learn from it not to be training a girl in school with the intention to marry them because they will definitely messed you up when time comes because they are easily carried away with what they see and in university someone will surely see things that if they are not careful or can't control themselves they will fall, doing that with this intention is very risky perhaps you should just do it without any of this intention so you won't feel bad if something like this happens. But as for me I can't risky to train a girl in school with this mindset.

This is a funny topic and I have been contemplating about it why I would have to train a woman in school when I have good things to do with my money. I will rather invest my money and involve myself in businesses that will fetch me money than to use my money to train a woman in school. Yes, the topic seems quite funny actually. But I must confess that OP made a good point here because I know plenty people that are still doing this with the intention of getting married after graduation, but it was other way around for them. I can't wait her until she through the University, that is too long and she can change her minds and deciding to leave me. Those statements could be right. But I think I may sponsoring her to school and through the University but I can't handle all the cost of her tuition.

I am guessing that you are a female that's why you are talking this way, and yes I am in support that many females are not always back bitters, some get educated thanks to their lover and they ended up married with beautiful family.

The problem here is the experience that people have is far greater, ask every Africans this question and many of them will say the same thing, because that's the simple truth, this has nothing to do with men fearing women to be more educated than them, if that's the real deal why would a man sponsor a lady's education in the first place?

If you are hoping to make an investment, and an important one such as education then you should be prepared. And since in this case it is about the education of your future wife (possibly), you should make sure you actually want to be married to her before you spend money on something like that.

Education is always a great investment. Can't go wrong there. I would rather help the lady through school than blow it all on gambling.

But we get that rarely today. Someone helping others have that intention especially if it's the opposite sex that they're helping. So having that intention to marry the girl, you have no guarantee there even if you're the one who's spent so much money. Because after they end with their school and become professionals, you'll see how independent they are and you'll just be thanked by them but will be treated like a trash.

A very good way to look at it without having any regrets about it in the future, because without even training a girl in school, you can be dating her for years, and when it's time for marriage, you both might still come to terms that you are not compatible and go separate ways. The best is to offer whatever help you can to a lady without expecting marriage as a reward.

If she is not your wife and you are simply trying to help her to make her independent, then that could be a good option, but only if you have some spare money or another source of income. However, if you expect that she will marry you, then it is a foolish thing for any man to do because no one knows the future, and human nature is uncertain. She may find someone else and fall in love with them. If that happens, what will you do? You will face financial losses, as well as the emotional ties you have built with her over the years. Arguably helping someone to get through college and get formal higher education is better than gambling, specially if it is part of our family.
But in this context, it is completely different. OP is talking about helping someone who is not legally united to the person providing the help, and he is also treating the act of helping a women as purely transactional.

It is pretty obvious that helping someone who is not even part of one's family with such amount of money and time it is a mistake. It would be almost as providing the same to an acquaintance.

The only challenge that comes with training a woman through school with the intent of marrying her that makes it wrong is when you are struggling to train the woman. if you are well balanced financially and can afford to train her and your life will run smoothly without an issue, there is nothing wrong with that. a woman that leaves you after you have trained her will only do so when you refuse to also take care of yourself while training her and then she finishes the school and sees herself as someone that is now better than you in all regard. before i can train a woman in school, then the money i am using for such purpose should be less than 15% of my income which means it is something i can do comfortably.

Very serious question to me. If it where to voice talk I guess my speechlessness is just speaking very loud. Howbeit, in as much as it's not certain (50/50) a man should be able to not the kind of a woman they are dealing with. Seeing a woman through school is not a new thing. The attitude of some women are just so clear that something fishy can likely happen. Somehow there's no how such expenses will be going on that the man won't be thinking of building a home with this woman so I can't just say it's human development just like giving one girl in the street or neighborhood or community a scholarship.

As long as a man is done with his examination on her and has found her to be a potential home and sees the need to see her through school much more when she is capable and willing then no problem even as it is 50/50.

And it gets more funny when I actually read the contents in the thread, the thing is that the OP is not far at all from the truth because this is exactly the reality with women, they are just a different breed of human being, some of the things that I have seen and heard women do it's almost as if any one who try to train a lady in school especially when he has not married the lady is actually just wasting his time or I will put it like the Op, he is at risk of being the one at the losing end.
