Many gambling platforms are bias and they will not stop creating terms that will favour them alot more than the users that are using their platforms to bet and make money for themselves. Casinos have been the ones making the most money from while players continue to look for look and opportunity for them to stay profitable while gambling. Every gambler must understand that the system can not favour them in case when casinos tried to cheat by updating their rules to make everything suitable for their existence.

Apart from that Op made an example of a particular player not scoring as a betting option like a goal or a number of goals, if it comes to team as a whole, I believe there is opposite option betting in terms of numbers of goals that the team will score. For example, if you are betting for under goals then you are invariably betting opposite that the team is not able to score higher goals too. Like betting under 1.5 means that the team will not be able to score ov 1.5 too and likewise other examples. But regards to a particular player scoring or not scoring as opposite betting, maybe that is still somewhere in the betting option but that I may not be able to verify at the moment but it is possible to exist.

Yeah, a lot of betting options actually exists with their opposite betting option as well but like I did said in my last comment on this thread, it is not very much necessary that every bet option must come with the opposite; allowing bettors to bet either on one of the side, it's not very important because we already have a lot of market to choose to bet on to the extent that some times, its even hard to find the right one that gives some good level of conviction that we will win, and let's not forget that often times when options become too much, choosing one out of that many become really hard, especially when it's hard to find an option with a good probability of playing out and with a good odd.

Challenges like this can sometimes easily discourage a bettor from betting on a game he or she had intentions of betting on, they decide to wait for the next match, and a casino that really want to keep their users betting at all times will know better than get things complicated for their users.

my question is this: do you think gambling sites that give odds on the likelihood of an event occurring should also offer the option to bet on the opposite outcome? of course, there's no obligation to do so, but if there are odds given on a player scoring a goal, i think gamblers should also be able to bet on the possibility of that player not scoring.

I don't think they highlight the popular markets because they want people to bet on a certain thing. It's more to lure you into betting more by showing what you can bet on. It's kind of a hook to get you into betting right away.

For example, you visit the sports site and wonder what to bet, and if even bet anything today, then you see hot markets and recall oh my favourite team, Arsenal, is playing today and then you go ahead and make some bets which otherwise might not have happened at all. I usually bet on UFC nights but sometimes I just forget and miss out, but if I visit the site and see people betting MMA on high rollers tab, then I suddenly recall and bet that night .

Gambling is a business and any policy they make will be of positive to them...they can't make policy that will favour players...if you checked two gambling platforms and compare them, you will notice that they almost have same features

Definitely, there are so many options, not only the opposite. And that is for the gambler to take advantage of. Because every gambler has their own decisions and so they can bet whatever betting line they feel comfortable of or they feel have the chance of winning. Bookies provide those betting lines for so many reasons, bettors have different tastes and so they need to give those lines for them to choose from. The more available lines, the better as they can cover all types of bettors.
Bookies not only provide the opposite but all possible lines that gamblers will be interested of. Because they have their own algo that can detect the pulse of the market and of course, they want to cover those interests so they won't go to another bookie to find that line that is not offered in their site.

Because they are a business, and what they provide is not solely to fulfill all users' desires, but to ensure that their business can make a profit. If they feel that it could harm them, then they won't include it.
