We are all entitled to our opinions whether we agree or disagree.  However, the market will have the ultimate say and it seems so far the market supports F*D.  But, your statement "I believe this was a deliberate FD design" is giving off gaslighting in the fact that F*D already stated this was a manufacturer issue and mentioned nothing about it being deliberate.  He already mentioned this will be corrected going forward.  As far as this error making the coin rare, no it doesn't work like that, esp since all coins in that series would have the same errored hologram.  Now if only a few coins in that series had the errored hologram and the rest had the non-errored hologram, then rarity could be discussed as it pertains to the errored hologram.

If FD pointed out the error thats good. When you buy this coin youre getting an error coin that is usually more valuable. Since the situation is clear I dont see why shaming is necessary when everything is fully disclosed. I like the design just as it is. I am buying more.

If he misses two giant errors on the hologram itself, it would be a miracle that the keys would have been handled properly.  

And whether the market agrees or disagrees, there is not a week that goes by where there is not another hastily designed, half-assed product coming out from this maker.  It dilutes the entire market and takes attention away from legitimate releases.

The laser work is sloppy as well.  Look at Mojo or Squirrelbits for quality laser work. This is just low effort amateur garbage in comparison to their work.  And I say this as someone who has purchased several items from the original Finite by Design, which were crisp and well executed minted coins.  The quality has dropped off so much, it's almost like the brand was purchased by someone else and lowered to Temu quality.

It is a good thing these coins do not contain private keys, because if he misses two giant errors on the hologram itself, it would be a miracle that the keys would have been handled properly.

Revealing letters from a hologram isnt a major breakthrough and could have been a planned design. Why not ask the creator directly through DM first? The goal is to draw in more creators and retain the ones we already have. We should avoid creating a fragile environment where creators are walking on eggshells. Many members prefer to be heroes by highlighting flaws rather than focusing on the positives.

1)  Just because it isn't a major breakthrough to you or even others, it may be to some.  It's dogmatic to assume otherwise.  2)  We already know it wasn't a planned design.  3)  The goal would be to drawn in and retain trustworthy, quality, and innovative creators.  4)  Concurrently, we should also avoid creating and perpetuating an environment where collectors are walking on eggshells, wondering if the rug is going to be pulled.  Again.  5)    Flaws are not highlighted for hero's sake as there would be a clamoring for glory, which I don't see, but rather flaws are highlighted out of hypervigilance from being grizzled veterans of seeing and experiencing all sorts of scams for years in this space, in turn protecting new and old collectors alike.

The fact of the matter is you can't handle honest criticism and as a maker you have a responsibility to your customers to get it right.  Why do you believe the multiple mistakes displayed and the once a week releases don't deserve criticism?  I said to you months ago to slow down... do better quality control... I got shit from your cronies for being critical.  Go figure... here we are again with another OBVIOUS mistake that a maker with ANY quality control would have caught and then could have been released as errors.  The way this comes off is incompetent.  The reason this is important is now you want people to trust your key generation when you have proven that you don't even have the quality control to handle the basics of coin making.  

Extra credit question OP... why so quick to rush out all the new work and having the VAST majority with your key generation when you were widely known as the go to DIY maker before your semi recent return?

Unfortunately I have noticed other creators in the friend group or business collaborations making mistakes and getting a pass. Can you explain why these creators get a pass? Now we have lost another creator. How many have left the forum because of this behavior? I understand scamming but two missing letters in a design are irrelevant and can result in value.

As a maker, at some point you begin to wonder if the community will ever change, but I’ve only seen it get worse with each passing year. Probably why not a single innovation has happened to this collectibles market in at least a decade while coin premiums and quality have only gotten worse with scams being more frequent. This is a trend that isn’t slowing.

Do you think that the community should not hold coin makers to a higher standard, when we've seen repeated instances of rug pulls, botched keys, using malware-laced keygen tools?  I guess we should just allow newbies to get scammed again and again, because we wouldn't want any new makers to feel any harshness or criticism while they peddle their terrible products here.  


Also, I just realized these were coins with the private key applied , and not DIY.  As mopar has shown, this error was not caught on 10+ releases so far. 



I noticed this within 2 seconds of seeing this picture that not just one word was misspelled, but two. The maker had no idea, and yet somehow managed to correctly generate and apply private keys to each of these 10+ releases with these holograms?  Good luck to anyone storing funds on these coins..
