Just like the thread says, I will like to talk about the perspective in which we see bitcoin individually, bitcoin is seen from several perspectives, some may look at it as mere investment tool, some may see it as more in terms of monetary values, yet we have what really we see it for on a personal basis, hence let's deliberate on it as people with high insights to technology and what the world is going through right now.

I use Bitcoin as my main tool to escape inflation. Financial freedom, privacy, and security are also among the reasons for using Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not yet a financial system for me that I use to make purchases or make regular transactions. For now, I use it as an investment asset that protects me from inflation and works against inflation to provide long-term profits. Being decentralized, I am still outside the accountability of the government and my funds are kept as a secret asset that only I know about.

Of a truth Bitcoin has serve as several tools to different people since the time of it invention, to some people it is a way of escaping poverty and giving them a more meaningful life overtime, and to some folks it has serve as a more reliable investment deal that they can entrust their hard earned funds in without the fear of being scammed.

However Bitcoin has made me understand that I also have a say in making my financial decisions myself without any interference of any governmental institution or body. I look at bitcoin from a different angle,  rather than looking at it as just an investment. Although,  many people are drawn to bitcoin due to the price and the opportunity for profit. To me, bitcoin is primarily a financial tool which allows individuals to have greater control of their own money.  As there are times when traditional financial systems limit access to services,  and also has so many restrictions but Bitcoin is different because it is a system that puts control and ownership back into the hands of the user.

I also value Bitcoin because its system is open and transparent, the rules are set,  the supply is fixed,  and no one can change it. This is so different from many traditional monetary system where their policies can change based on the economy and political decisions. This is the reason I see Bitcoin as a long term financial protection,  and not just a way to get quick money.

Bitcoin is important because it shows us how value can be transferred across the internet,  just like how information became borderless through the Internet,  Bitcoin shows us that value can be transferred in a way that is more open and global,  that alone is more important than just being another asset to trade.

Bitcoin is a valuable asset that has the potential to make someone become rich if the person does the necessary things such as buying a significant amount and then hold it for some years when the price is twice today's current price. I see Bitcoin as a kind of currency that has created a whole new niche to earn both passively and actively from and a means to complete or enter a transaction without any third party involvement.
Bitcoin to me right now, is an opportunity I have to explore due to the rising inflation and uncertainty of the Naira market which makes earning and saving and investing quite difficult and public to others knowledge.

Bitcoin is viewed from different perspective for different category of persons but we all know that it has purpose that it serve for all of us at same time which are as investment asset, deflationary for inflation, financial freedom without third party involvement and government control etc. However, for me I prefer the investment aspect of bitcoin because it turns into profit when you hodl it and you still use the bitcoin for other purposes. Therefore, I will prefer to buy btc and hodl for sometime before spending it. It is a digital gold that serve different purposes.

My perspective on bitcoin is this, I see bitcoin as a means to grow my wealth; I feel it’s better to invest in it than to keep my money lying idly in the bank and instead of increasing it’ll even be cut off by charges I don’t understand.
I also see it as a means to hedge against inflation, with the constant increase in prices and naira and dollar devaluation , the decentralised nature of bitcoin makes it not to be affected by these but it has the potential of rising in value in the long run.
Bitcoin is my way of investing smartly cos it has shown higher ROI than most other assets.

Everyone can define Bitcoin from a different perspective. I think the context of Bitcoin changes over time. For a new investor, Bitcoin is a way to grow money, some think of it as a way to make quick money, some take Bitcoin for short-term trading. Some investors' attitude is to try to change their financial situation by building a Bitcoin portfolio smoothly.

My perspective is exactly that because I initially started accumulating Bitcoin in a small amount but not with the intention of quick profits in the short term. By focusing on the mental preparation and implementation of building a decent portfolio, this period can be a cycle or two more cycles of continuous Bitcoin accumulation strategy for a long period of time.

I am accumulating Bitcoin as an important investment asset initially. As time and cycles go by holding Bitcoin will become a store of value for me because the potential for Bitcoin to rise in value due to being in favour of the current and the limited supply and gradual shortage of Bitcoin will automatically affect the price increase.

Everyone has their own ways and reasons they are into Bitcoin, to me Bitcoin is a digital asset which can be use an investment or means of payment from different locations around the world. Just like in the forum, most of us receive some portion of Bitcoin as payment and we all are from different locations around the world. This na wetin me I agree with, the biggest adoption we have so far in Bitcoin is based on investment, Bitcoin is hardly used as a currency for payment in Nigeria. We see some local stores ready to accept payment in Bitcoin but how many customers are making payments through Bitcoin. The few people wey decide to use Bitcoin as currently use it only a few times and probably when sending or paying for stuffs across borders.

Like in a situation where by one just wants to make money by profits, he or she will look at Bitcoin as a way of making money by investing.
While there are some individuals that want to de the coin grow and be for its purpose which is a decentralised currency where no company or Banks controls it. These sets of people see Bitcoin in a different way, not primarily to make money, but they see it as a currency where they can express their freedom of financial transactions

But to be honest I my self, and I do believe a large amount of Nigerians too are mostly all about making money because of the hardship of the country, will see it as a way to make money through investment, and put less interest in viewing it as a decentralised currency where we can express financial transactions with no middle man.

The main fact about bitcoin is to severe as an alternative form of money but with a quantity the rest system which has existed before it failed to implement and that's full control.. people only see bitcoin as a mean for making profits, they have failed to explore other good benefits of being a bitcoin investor. It's features are beyond compare to anything we've seen. Lets take our country for an instance, earlier this year the government brought a tax system that to me is very bad for the current state of the economy.. bitcoin can be that one means of escape for someone who understands how to use it. Yes we are supposed to pay tax, but draining the people of their hard earned money isn't a good way to go about it. We can avoid these by saving funds in bitcoin instead and when it's needed, you simply convert and use..
