It is already happening. Not just their economy will suffer, but there will be lots of lives lost in this war.
Recently, I woke up seeing videos of bombings in Lebanon. It was said that Israel is responsible for the bombing. I never knew the war had reached this extent, and how Lebanon got involved in the war, I do not know, but I will make my research ASAP. All the countries within the Gulf region should be prepared to be affected by the war, both economically and otherwise.

Iran is firm on what they say that there will be continuous closing of Strait and expect a $200/oil barrel and that's a lot.

They really are against the world right now and they only have on ally that they allow to pass through the Strait where they deliver millions of barrel and that's China.

What is the ceiling on this escalation? Like where does it stop. Iran is not a small actor and more importantly its strategy seems to be specifically economic disruption. Disrupting the Strait is successful. Hitting regional production infrastructure works. This is almost a doctrine. And the doctrine is working in the sense that the damage is real and piling up.

Inflation means prices rise and then they potentially stabilize. What's going on now is a constraint problem. Some countries may simply not be able to access fuel at any price because the logistics infrastructure to get it there is broken or too dangerous or too expensive. And "too expensive" for a country like Pakistan at this time, based on where its foreign reserves were already. That's practically the same thing as unavailable.

The people who suffer most from the shortages of fuels in Dhaka or Karachi or Colombo are not the people who designed these structures of dependency. They're simply the people who reside in them.

And what mechanism is in place now to prevent this from getting to the worst-case scenario you're describing? I don't see a functioning one. The UN is largely symbolic under these conditions. Diplomatic channels are broken or paralysed. And the countries most affected have almost no leverage over any of the parties that are actually conducting this war.

That's a hard place to end up. But it seems like where we are.

Most countries have certain reserves of oil to use in emergencies such as war or supply crises like the current one. What is puzzling is that the war only started 2 week ago and supply chain have only been disrupted in the last few day. But many countries appear to be facing a serious oil shortage. This makes me wonder if there's any manipulation behind this, because the shortage could not have happened so quickly

The Strait of Hormuz is only a shipping route for 20% of the total oil supply, not the entire oil supply. The solution is for the remaining countries to increase their oil production. I think if the remaining oil producing countries increase their output, we can absolutely make up for this shortfall. However, that will still depend heavily on the global political context and the interests of the countries involved

I mean, the majority of their revenue comes from oil and gasoline supply so it's unlikely they would close the Strait of Hormuz, rather restrict some regions which they have done already.

I still can’t make sense of what this war is really about or how it’s ever going to end, given the current developments and the news I keep seeing. Even once the war ends, there will be chaos because Iran has a new leader, and it remains to be seen what decisions he will take and whether they will be more aggressive.

Personally, I was expecting more action from Russia but they are perhaps laughing at all the madness.

Every country is affected because of this unnecessary war! The government has already taken some energy saving measures to decrease the use of oil and electricity. The sales of oil have been limited, we cannot buy above a certain amount. The panic is real. People who used to buy 1 liter are now buying the double out of fear. The govt urges everyone not to fear, but you already know how people behave in times of shortage. They buy more. Moreover, school college universities have already been closed off early to save energy. I don't know of other places, but hopefully we'll be able to survive this crisis as Iran has agreed to allow Bangladeshi oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

The biggest contribution might be oil. But the world works without oil.
It just changes. City dwellers will suffer. And there are electric Vehicles Tesla will love it.

It is not clear how long this war between Iran, Israel and America will be limited to these three countries. Iran is attacking US bases in different countries in the Middle East one after another, which is further escalating the war. On the other hand, the US and Israeli armies are not sitting back, but are also counterattacking and causing massive damage to Iran. The issue that is currently at the center of most discussions is fuel oil. The fuel oil reserves of different countries are running out, but the war situation is not normalizing, so if such a war continues for a few more weeks, it will definitely have a big impact on the economies of different countries. The economic condition of all these Asian countries including India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be bad because the economies of all these countries depend on fuel oil and these countries export about 90% of their fuel oil from the Middle East. Due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, fuel oil ships are not able to come, due to which there is a fear of a severe fuel crisis in different countries.  
Not only this, but Kuwait has already reduced its oil production due to the successive attacks by Iran, several oil production plants in Saudi Arabia have been severely damaged, due to which the price of crude oil has already increased by about $100 per barrel, which can be called the highest increase.

If the war situation does not normalize, then there will be a severe shortage of fuel oil, and even if some fuel oil is available, it will have to be purchased at a high price.

The situation is already terrible, what ever that happens to crude oil tends to affect  the whole world. The effects on crude oil directly affects the prices of goods and services all over the world. Firstly,so many countries depends on crude oil export to fund their budget and when once the export quantity is low then their will be problem. The war should end as soon as possible before countries will run into too many debts. Iran is not ready to open the strait of Hormuz in full capacity for business to flow but might open partially for their allies to pass through.

Now wars are not limited to a single country. The impact of wars can spread far beyond the borders of the country. In an internal war between two countries, people from two countries may lose their lives and infrastructure from two countries may be destroyed, but its impact is global. Consider the current Iran-Israel war where the Iranians are attacking various countries in the Middle East and they have closed the Strait of Hormuz. As a result, the price of oil is increasing rapidly all over the world. There is no war in the country where I live, but our purchasing power has been greatly reduced due to the Iran-Israel war.

While this is true, I would say it's not the same thing. I can understand why people would think that we are under threat as well, because our economy is impacted as well, but the reality is that we are facing something that would not be the same and we should be focus on what really matters.

In most cases, we are talking about how we are going to see the situation be a lot more, just realize "we have our economy going down" and "we have bombs raining down our heads" is not the same. You may like or dislike Iran-Israel but those two nations are both getting missiles hitting cities, I rather not have that.
