Obviously wining is very hard to get in gambling and i just feel that it's a normal thing because gambling is more about losing and also wining rather the wining doesn't come like that of losses, wining comes maybe twice a week or more while sometimes you might even stay for months or years before wining will get to you so since I'm already aware about losses I don't think if that would make me quit as I'm also deriving other things like fun and entertainment.

Let's just say people are just gambling for fun and they are not counting their losses, and those who are gambling for money making, they're up to chase their losses and hope one day they will come up with a bigger win and easily recover all their past losses.

While others are stuck with addiction. Gambling is their life, and no matter how much they have lose already, getting rid of gambling and leaving it for good is something that is too hard to do. This is the reason why addicts lose a lot more, and I think they have accepted that fate already as long as they can sustain their gambling habit every now and then.

Without doing any research I can actually say that gamblers that are benefiting from gamble in aspect of winning their bet are lower than the gamblers that are losing their bet because there's no guarantee to win any game except the gambler is lucky, which makes me believe that losers are more than the winners. If you observe properly, we could notice that the gambers that are winning their bet are likely gambling for entertainment (am not sure actually, probably not all of them), meanwhile those gamblers that are losing their bet are desperately gambling to make money through it. Even after multiple trials and no positive results, why not quit?.

What really made me create this thread is because I still can't figure out why people who lose often can't quite gambling or take a break even when they know that they can't win to recover their money.

Maybe they need a story from a Jewish Rabbi I heard yesterday in Instagram. I follow real Jews and not expansionary delusional imperialist regimes and this Rabbi was saying "my father took me to a Vegas casino when I was 16 and asked me the first question which person do you think it is the most rich and I answered the Blackjack table guy as he had lots of chips without worrying how big his bet was. My father said wrong answer, the person which is the most rich is the person who build the table where the Blackjack guy is sitting and playing at, the only true rich in gambling is someone who never plays and the spins in slots are programmed in such a precision mathematics that they take your money slowly enough that you enjoy the game". This story hit me hard yesterday and I keep thinking about it, it is a true gem of motivation so I thought to share it with you here, for people who want to quit.

Nobody can beat the house over the long term for different reasons. With the casino it is obvious, simply the odds are fixed in favor of the house and you'll never be able to defy the statistics in the long term and the best you can hope for is a short streak that runs in your favor. Sports betting is slightly different because theoretically you could beat the analysis and the odds the a bookmaker does by building a more sophisticated system that determines where value bets exist, but even if you win eventually they will "gub" your account so you can no longer make bets of a worthwhile size. Asking why people don't quit is the wrong question for people that understand the game - why don't golfers quit when they're not first every time? Why don't card collectors quit when they don't pull the hologram they want from a fresh deck of cards? You're missing the angle of joy that drives other people and this should only be seen as casual fun at the end of the day.

Even those who have experience even in betting defeat can still be felt especially those who only try to choose randomly in the hope that they can win the match. Of course the answer is very difficult to do but when they still insist on gambling I think everyone has their own perception here and I don't think we can stop anyone who still wants to gamble even if we say loudly to stop.  Gamblers will stop when they start to realize that what they are doing is far from the threshold and realize that what they are doing is too much or it will probably only happen for some because others will continue to gamble until they run out of money.
There will be no definitive answer to this question because everyone will have their own thoughts and what we say and think is right may be wrong from another gambler's point of view so I doubt there will be a definitive answer to this question.

Others are winning, so why can't they win? I think that whenever a gambler is almost accepting that they cannot win in gambling, there is always this near-win situation or the success story of another gambler that motivates them again into believing that they can win.

This is a level of positivity and hope that gamblers have that possibly should be emulated by others because it is a positive side of gambling, the development of that never-quitting attitude and mentality.

The truth is there are way fewer people actually gambling for fun and there’s no relationship between gambling for fun and wining rate.. Gambling for fun doesn’t  make you win more or loose more, it just makes you care less about both side but this can also be an advantage for them to win more in some certain scenarios just that it doesn’t work every time.

On the other hand, addicted gamblers have one major goal which is to win ,  they obviously neglect the other side for the outcome of their bets neither do they keep track of their bets either, that’s why they always find it hard to take break or quit but above is just one of many, it’s quite complicated than that.

It's true winning is hard in gambling, and it becomes a bigger challenge for every gambler on how to win from their bets. But I don't see any reason that gamblers could easily turn their backs from gambling simply because they are losing, they all know that losing will be inevitable, the only key here is how to manage their bankroll so they won't lose it all, or control their emotions so they won't chase their losses nor their luck in gambling.

However, still gambling isn't for everyone. Its not for weak and highly emotional people.

Offcourse winning is not easy in gambling.  It depends on the motive why one is gambling should be the reason to quit.  If you are gambling to win by all means or depending on gambling,  then it is better to quit in gambling but if you are gambling for and gambling with the amount that you can afford to lose at this point even if one is not able to win i dont think it will be something that will be a problem for one , one can still continue to gamble for fun with the amount that can be afford to lose.

What really made me create this thread is because I still can't figure out why people who lose often can't quite gambling or take a break even when they know that they can't win to recover their money.

I only see two reasons for that. Firstly, they may have a habit or have an addiction in their personality; that is why they often play gambling, whether it is online or physical gambling, apart from other reasons that are common for those who gamble just to pass the time.

There are others out of their curiosity even though they are not really gamblers, and their first time is the first time. In the future it becomes a habit because most of them experience winning that they did not expect, which plants in their minds that it is easy to earn money from gambling, and this is the beginning of their gambling journey.

You’re not wrong by saying that gamblers who win are mostly lesser than those who actually win, because that’s exactly how gambling was initially designed to be from the start. Of a truth we can’t control our wins and losses, but we can control how much we choose to lose. Most of the times, the goal shouldn’t be to avoid losses completely cos losses are inevitable but the goal should be to avoid unnecessary and unreasonable losses, and gamblers who understand this usually make the best gambling decisions and record less losses than those who fail to understand it.

Again, every gambler has their own reasons for gambling, for example gamblers who actually gamble for fun may actually be losing but as long as they’re having fun and are merely playing within their means, they’ll definitely have nothing to worry about or even any reason to think of quitting gambling simply because they’re losing.

Gambling is like a virus once it gets into you it multiplies and lay hold of its host. It's not that easy to leave gambling even if you are losing this is because the more you lose the more your need of trying to gain your lose back so Gambler's continue to gamble with the hopes of gaining back their money. Over time this becomes a circle that keeps repeating itself and a large portion of gambler's are caught up in this circle. For anyone to stop gambling it will take time and that will involve discipline and self control because it's not easy to leave gambling it's conscious efforts that require practical steps.

Even after multiple trials and no positive results, why not quit?.

They do not quit because they are hoping they hit it big one day and can recover all their losses.

What really made me create this thread is because I still can't figure out why people who lose often can't quite gambling or take a break even when they know that they can't win to recover their money.

If they knew that they couldn't recover their money, they would surely not try to win their losses back.  But they continue to gamble because they think and hope that they can eventually recover their losses if they get lucky and hit it big.

That is the mindset of people who have confidence that they can recover their losses even though they themselves can't tell why, so they just keep on gambling, hoping one day they will have luck and experience a series of winnings.

While I understand your point of view, I will subtly say that gamblers lose in bits. Yes, there might be a higher percentage of those losing every day as compared to those winning, which is how the gambling companies make their money. But the truth is, when a gamble is lost, it’s in bits, and when you win, it comes in bulk.

So someone can lose 1k for 5 days if luck is not on their side, and subsequently they hit 20k in that same week. So not attempting or quitting just means you have already lost. It’s even a bigger loss because you are deliberately not putting your life on a trajectory that might change it forever.

Many find it hard to quit even with the losses because of the hope of actually winning and maybe even winning back everything or some of the money they lost. So even if the losses keeps compiling, you’ll still see them consistently chasing. This very hope is what leads many gamblers into addiction and ruin, because it gets to a point where they can no longer control their urge to gamble anymore and even when they wanna quit, it’s no longer possible.

Those who repeatedly lose in gambling and repeatedly return to gambling and cannot take a break from gambling are, in simple terms, addicted to gambling. People who are addicted to gambling cannot stop gambling even if they lose. They cannot accept the loss of money and participate in gambling repeatedly to recover their losses. Those who accept gambling as entertainment and use very little money in gambling can stop gambling at any time because gambling has not addicted them. So, if gambling is accepted as entertainment, any decision can be taken at any time, there is no problem in it.

If you are gambling in order to chase profit then quit entirely, sooner than later that sort of habit will transit into addiction.

Those who gamble for entertainment tends to do it responsibly, they don't go after profits and easily known when to draw the line.

Self control in this case is important, end it where it is necessary or face the repercussions.

The chances of losing the bet is higher than winning it. So even though you lose the first bet, you still do not have any guarantee that you will win the second one. I believe this is the conception many gamblers have that is why when they are losing  a lot of money they still continue gambling. I get it that it is not easy as it seems to stop gambling but with your mind made up you can do it, even though stopping will be hard, at least taking a break will help a lot, it will help them save up some money for a while or even use the money for other important things.
The amount won or lost isn't the key to quickly exiting a gambling session. After all, sometimes people have too much money to spend, or their losses haven't reached a tolerable level, and their limit is to have no bankroll at all. Casinos also go to great lengths to prevent you from leaving the game too quickly.

That's an addicted person... then he can't stop gambling because he will continue to chase losses until he loses a lot, unlike a responsible gambler he will stop after the set bankroll is exhausted, or he feels that he has lost a lot he will stop.

Usually addicted people will not know giving up, not even a sense of satisfaction even after winning several times because I'm sure he will continue to continue betting by increasing it.

There's a saying that goes, losses are not a reason to give up but a challenge to move forward, and I think this really fits how gamblers treat gambling. They are not threatened by consistent losses, because everyone is dealing with it. So gamblers will never think that quitting will be the safest option.

But instead, they even prove to the market and theirselves that they are good enough to win, even a small amount. Winning is hard, but gamblers never see that because they still believe that with luck, strategies and skills, winning will still be possible.
