🤲 If both parties want to settle a dispute themselves, Zenland supports mutual splits - propose a 60/40, 70/30, or any ratio, and the other party approves on-chain → https://docs.zen.land/user-guides/resolving-disputes

You don't need to tell your ETH address from your personal wallet.

You only use it to activate your zenland ETh address. This is the one that he wants.

You first go to the dashboard (https://zen.land/app), connect your personal wallet  and then you generate your new address from the Zenland wallet . This is the one he needs to perform the test.

I can PM you my ETH address; will that be fine with you?

Hello NotATether, we’re happy to see you back!

You can absolutely PM me your address or share it here, as it will be displayed on our agents page regardless. Once I receive the address, I’ll send over the 2,000 ZEN tokens so you can register as an agent.

Welcome back!

👤 No KYC, no sign-ups, no personal data - Zenland only needs a wallet connection to create or participate in an escrow → https://docs.zen.land/getting-started/wallets

Zenland Protocol Update | v1.1.13

Core Improvements
  • Dynamic Balance Synchronization: Integrated manual and automated (10s interval) token balance polling. This resolves state-desync issues where users deposit funds during the escrow creation flow and previously required a page refresh to update their spendable balance.
  • Escrow State Optimization: Migrated state updates from indexer-dependent data to direct RPC calls. This significantly reduces latency in reflecting contract status changes on the frontend.

UI/UX & Marketing
  • Refined Onboarding: Added a dedicated video walkthrough section to the marketing interface to assist new users with protocol interactions.
  • Message Logic Fix: Corrected conditional rendering for the "Connect your wallet" prompt to prevent it from appearing in redundant or confusing contexts.

Zenland offers two escrow types: Standard (with an agent for dispute resolution) and Locked (pure 2-of-2 where both parties must agree on every outcome) → https://docs.zen.land/escrow-types/standard-escrow

New on the blog: Ethereum Escrow Services: Why Stablecoins Are the Future

Ethereum processes over $10B in daily transactions - but when two strangers need to exchange value safely, the blockchain alone isn't enough. Smart contracts change that: the code itself becomes the escrow agent. No humans, no custodians, no single point of failure.

⭐️ The protocol fee on Zenland has a minimum of $0.50 and a maximum of $50 - micro-deals and whale trades are both treated fairly.

A Founder's Story: Why Smart Contract Escrow Exists

— or what two bad deals taught me about trust and leverage —

A few weeks ago, I needed some PR and community outreach work done for Zenland. I decided to hire two highly reputed BitcoinTalk sellers. The task was simple: distribute some high-quality content about our protocol across a few target channels.

Here is how it went down:

Seller #1: Started delivering but completely failed to follow the core instructions. The content kept getting removed by platform moderators because the seller didn't respect the community rules. We had to renegotiate the entire deal just to salvage something out of the payment.

Seller #2: Their marketplace thread clearly stated a 5-7 day Turnaround Time (TAT). Eight days passed. Zero communication. When I finally reached out, I got: "I'm out of station, will reply tomorrow."

He never did. Two days later, I reached out again. He promised it in 5 days. I asked for a refund, and the classic excuse game started: "I was working, I have personal issues, etc."

Because he had a forum reputation to protect, he finally agreed to a refund. But guess what? I still haven't seen the money because he "doesn't have the crypto right now" (even though I paid him in crypto).

This is exactly why we built Zenland.

Relying solely on a seller's past reputation is a gamble. If you are doing business online, always use a smart contract escrow. If a seller refuses escrow, consider it a massive red flag.

Here is what this exact deal would look like using Zenland:

Quote
Contract Terms:

Seller delivers [X] pieces of content meeting the following criteria:
— Content type and format specified
— Minimum quality/account requirements defined
— Delivery window: 7 days
— Content must remain live for at least 7 days post-delivery

Funds are released only after all conditions are confirmed by the buyer.

As simple as that. Stop risking your crypto on empty promises.

Secure your next deal with Zenland Escrow

OK, I just made a request to register as an agent.
I assume that there are no more changes here, since all the information is written in the transaction, right?
For example, even though I wanted my primary contact to be bitcointalk, the app did not allow me to, because it is not possible to type a character like ";". Also, twisted calculation of characters, so I put the telegram username as an example, even though it was not the original idea.

Now, even though the transaction was completed, I was unable to register.

I double-checked your transaction hash, and it looks like that was only the approval transaction (granting permission to spend), not the actual registration.

Since you have already approved the spending, you can now click "Register as Agent" at the bottom of the form to finalize the process. The confusion was likely caused by the gas spikes on Ethereum yesterday, which can cause transactions to stall or UI updates to lag.

This is what happened to me when I went to "register as an agent". A transaction is also required there, right?
Yes, there was some mess with the gas fee on the ETH network when I approved the tx, but I received confirmation that it was executed.

edit: It happened again. I've now added more Ethereum for the gas fee, but the same thing happens.

I’ve thoroughly reviewed the logs and your specific transaction, but I’m not seeing any errors on our end. We also had another agent register successfully just moments ago, which suggests the contract is functioning as intended.

To help us get a clearer picture of what's happening, could you please disable "Smart Transactions" in MetaMask and try the submission again? This will provide us with standard blockchain logs to analyze if the issue persists.

To double-check the basics: are you entering exactly 10 USDT and up to 2000 ZEN tokens on the agent registration page?

Please note: We understand that troubleshooting on the Ethereum network is expensive. We would be happy to compensate you for the gas fees incurred during these failed attempts - just keep us posted so we can settle this once the registration is successful.

⚖️ Agents Table

Never send crypto first. Protect your deals by creating a secure escrow contract and appointing trusted BitcoinTalk members as dispute agents to ensure a fair outcome.

#| Agent| BitcoinTalk Member Since| Max Escrow Value| Assign Fee| Dispute Fee| Total Escrows| Dispute Count
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
01| @NotATether| 2019| $200| 2.5%| 3%| 0| 0
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

🎉 Welcome Our First Agent: @NotATether!
We are thrilled to announce that @NotATether is the very first registered agent on Zenland! A respected member of the Bitcointalk community since 2019, he is now officially available to help secure your trades.

The process is completely seamless: there is no need to coordinate with or contact him beforehand. Simply assign him as your agent when setting up your escrow contract in Zenland, and @NotATether will step in to securely mediate the trade only in the event of a dispute.

🛠️ Changelog v1.1.14: Custom Bitcointalk Visualization
We've updated Zenland profiles to better integrate with the community! You can now add a customized visual tag for Bitcointalk contacts.

How it works: To add a custom contact to an agent profile, simply type bitcointalk into the "Custom Name" field, and enter the user's forum username into the "Value" field. The system will automatically generate a custom visualization on the profile!

🚀 Zenland in April: A Single Month of 50% All-Time Growth

April 2026 wasn't just a good month - it was a turning point for the protocol. In just 30 days, Zenland processed over half of its all-time escrowed volume, signaling a massive shift in platform adoption.

The April Breakdown:
- Monthly Volume: $6,788.00
- Top Contract: $3,587.00 (Our largest to date)
- Network Strength: +5 New Agents (Doubling our active roster)
- Reliability: 0% Dispute Rate

The Bigger Picture: Zenland has now secured $13,295.50 in total escrowed volume across 26 contracts. With $1,481.00 currently staked by our agents, the protocol’s security and liquidity have never been stronger.

Why it matters: As we scale, our commitment to trustless, dispute-free commerce remains our North Star. Whether you're a buyer, a seller, or an agent, you’re part of a protocol that is doubling its footprint every month.

ZIP-002: Zenland Integrity & Speed Upgrade

The Zenland DAO is moving to a formal vote on ZIP-002 today.

We are proposing two major updates to protect the protocol’s reputation and improve the user experience for buyers and sellers.

1. Agent Accountability & Deactivation
We are proposing to permanently deactivate and slash the staked assets of agent CodiBot following verified reports of fraudulent activity. Zenland maintains a zero-tolerance policy for bad actors to ensure the security and trust of our ecosystem.

2. Reducing Seller Acceptance Time (7 Days → 1 Hour)
To prevent buyer funds from being locked in limbo, we are reducing the "Seller Accept" window to 1 hour.
  • If a seller is unresponsive, buyers can now reclaim their funds quickly.
  • Note to Sellers: Ensure you are ready to accept the escrow before the buyer initiates, as funds are only guaranteed once "Accept" is clicked.

Voting Opens Today: 14:34 UTC
