His last post was an edit about still searching for a job but in an earlier post in that thread, condoras offered to repay the full amounts owed to you and to shasan yet mnightwaffle did not take him up on the offer. Both you and shasan accepted to extend the loan when it could have been repaid. What confuses me more is why mnightwaffle did not make a deal with condoras and just repay his debt to you and shasan even if you both were willing to extend. (Since then, condoras is sadly no longer with us). If he were to return and repay his debt, what is the total amount he owes to you? Also., there is no indication if the $150 loan given by the suspicious kro55 account in that post was ever repaid by mnightwaffle either. That was one day before he reached out to you and shasan asking for an extension.

Hey @TryNinja, try reaching out to zazarb. Maybe he knows an email or any other form of contact that can be available since they had some deals in the past that required an email address. - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1161170.msg31068399#msg31068399But his silence has really been deafening. At least an update or two by him would help the situation since you have really been helpful to him

mnightwaffle is a rather odd account, and it's even more odd that we were all so comfortable lending to him. Obviously he was a very reliable borrower. Well, up until now, I guess. But his use of the forum was sporadic at best, and the last several years he only posted regarding his loans. Honestly, it made me uncomfortable when he would take multiple loans from multiple lenders, and rack up a debt of a thousand dollars or two in just a few days. I never thought that he would intentionally pull an exit scam, but anything can happen to any one of us at any time. And with that dude, it just seemed like a matter of time before the other shoe dropped.
At this point it seems rather unlikely that he'll be back, but I hope he's well and I'm wrong.
Anyway, he and I had a lot dealings and exchanged many PMs. I just searched all of my communications with him, but I couldn't find an email or an alternate way to get ahold of him.

Although I signed message from the old address, you people tagged me multiple times to feed your gut. I have neither scammed anyone nor have I any negative record on the forum. You 2 people tag others to grow your reputation, but thats wrong deed. It is unfair to blame someone unless their guilt is proven. You are pretending to be Lauda, but Lauda has another level of morality that you don't have.

With the recent wars around the world and the bad news about forum members passing away, I feel bad when I see someone hasn't been online in a while. I am saying this because he said that he needed the money to be hospitalized, and he wasn't able to work due to illness. I don't know what happened to him, but let's hope he is alive and will suddenly appear on the forum. Since he had good trading records, I hope he will come back and pay you guys back if he is alive. But we need to know if he has recovered from the illness. Let's wait and see if anyone knows him personally.

I can't recall who told me, but mnightwaffle was using the short term loans to fund self employed job opportunities.
IIRC, he is in an area which is in conflict, so I can't imagine he is able to respond much less repay.
Sorry if that sounds vague, but the information was said via PM.

It is unfair to blame someone unless their guilt is proven. You are pretending to be Lauda, but Lauda has another level of morality that you don't have. I left your account a neutral tag because I believed then (and still do) that you are not the person that originally created the account. Your "feed your gut" comment is completely incorrect because it seems as though the account is not in control by the person that created it. It is simple, for that reason you received a neutral tag. Why is having a neutral tag a problem for you? IIRC, he is in an area which is in conflict, so I can't imagine he is able to respond much less repay. Can you be a little more specific, do you know which country he is residing in?

I doubt that statement & based on his profile, he should be in the United States, he also said that he is from Arizona. Arizona.
By the way, I found something in his post history, he once said that his bros owns a law firm & the location of the firm is still in Arizona (indication that he is from Arizona is getting stronger here). one of my lawyer friends may or may not be able to help http://bit.ly/1iemXbiYou can probably get a few minutes of free consultation from him on a call back after leaving info with his assistant. If he can help and you need extended time to talk, I can pay him in person if you forward nxt.. in which case pm.. there's a chance he works only locally though... but he's been helpful and very informative in a number of cases I had to deal with tho so figured it wouldn't hurt to throw it out there. If bros @TryNinja wants to try outside forum method, he can try contacting the firm to possibly get the contact straight away.

I don't know mnightwaffle, and am really not familiar with him. But after a review of his account, I don't think he is going to repay his outstanding loans. I could be (and would be happy if I am) wrong, though.
Others have mentioned that his most recent time on the forum was mostly made up of managing his outstanding loans. This is true, and means that not repaying his loans means that he wont even face social pressure to repay what he owes.
I think it is likely that he intended to repay his debts when he took out his loans. I think it's likely he ran into an unexpected situation and was likely overextended when this happened. He said he got sick/hospitalized, which caused him to be out of work for some time. I'm not sure if this is true, but it seems reasonable, but either way, the details really don't matter.
Making loans involves risks, and the interest charged should take this risk into consideration. Hopefully, you are charging sufficient interest that will make your lending business profitable for you after these losses.

he also said that he is from Arizona.
Good detective work. I always assumed that he is American and his profile settings are honest; his location is set to "AZ" (the standard abbreviation for Arizona,) and his forum local time is set to Pacific Daylight Savings Time. The timing of my communications with him were always coordinated in such a way that corroborated the assumption that he and I were in the same time zone most of the time (Arizona is always on Pacific DST, my location goes back and forth.)
It might be worth contacting his lawyer friend, but honestly, it's probably a longshot that he would help you. First off, the friend may not know about this forum and mnightwaffle's presence here, so making the connection might take more time for him than he's willing to invest. Second, the lawyer may be unwilling to share contact information with some random dude claiming mnightwaffle owes him money. Third, the lawyer may be unable to legally divulge any identifying information. The fourth reason is what I fear the most, that mnightwaffle's medical issues caught up to him and he's no longer with us. Thus, making it impossible for the lawyer friend to corroborate your claim that mnightwaffle owes you money. Nevertheless, sending a polite email enquiring about mnightwaffle while being open and transparent about the reasons for your inquiry (with proof in the way of blockchain evidence and screenshots of your communications,) may provide results.

Though we cannot conclusively state any reasons for his absence, I broadly agree with you. I also do not know mnightwaffle, I cannot recall engaging with him but I have seen his posts from time to time. Keeping that aside, the key point here is that since he had always settled his debts, there was no reason to suspect he would one day not settle a debt and not be online too. Now that it has happened, it does not automatically equate to a scam but certainly does not look on his part. I read his posts about his medical care therefore first and foremost I hope he is alright. I hope in the coming days he posts here with an explanation about his absence and plans to repay his debt. I don't know mnightwaffle, and am really not familiar with him. But after a review of his account, I don't think he is going to repay his outstanding loans. Fortunately I'm still in good profit. I wasn't in any hurry to call for a full repayment (which is why I agreed to extend the loan). Even if he was still here, saying he can't pay yet or that he could only pay $100 per month, I would honestly be fine with it. But with his absence I'm starting to think it's very unlikely I'll see this money again.

Yes, there's very high chance that you might not get your money back, but who knows out of no where he appears again and read this post and start paying you $100 per month. Well, in business of lending such things happen time to time and it really hurts when a reputed member takes loan and when it comes to repayment he/she disappears. With his account he could've made much more than $1.5k by joining signature campaigns.
