Mining in Iran? There isn't even internet access there. Some Iranian forum users haven't posted ever since the war has started. Imagine trying to mine bitcoins when missiles fly over you and sometimes drop near you and eventually drop on you.

Mining?

Pack up and run you fools. If you are willing to fight and die for your country I ain't gonna blame you for that but if you want to mine btc like nothing is happening, that's a very very crazy thought. Nack.

Pooya87 is in Iran so I heard. Send him a PM and suggest him this idea... He is not responding? Exactly.

If a ground war breaks out in Iran, it will lead to higher prices for electricity and chip manufacturing.

Many data centers, where many miners have invested, use natural gas for energy. If the war in Iran doesn't end quickly, it will impact many industries worldwide.

I think it is not going to be only the Iran that would be having issue mining but also countries which their energy comes from Iran, the neighboring countries, the other countries involved in the war and also the countries which their oil or gas must pass through the straits of Hormuz.

One of the major problems associated today with mining is actually energy as such if it’s crisis persist then it will greatly affect miners in this region and possibly in other regions too. Also bitcoin price will be affected too

First off the government in Iran was doing a lot of the mining in Iran.

So if they can mine it will be soldiers and government workers mining not civilians.

Second they would be targets for heat seeking missiles.

But My guess is  they shifted gear and are mining it someplace they think is safe.

just look at the last diff jump we dropped

-7.7557%   145T down to 133T

but right now we are up +4.7% and should go back to 140T diff

So My guess is the government of Iran has put miners on line somewhere some place

It is only a crazy person that will talk about mining bitcoin in Iran, some people just talk rubbish because they are not the one in Iran, if they are in Iran they won’t even talk about coming to the forum not to talk about mining bitcoin, all the citizens in Iran right now are thinking about their life, no one is thinking or talking about mining of bitcoin and even when the war is over they won’t think about mining for a long time.

I pray that Pooya87 is fine, war is a very dangerous because it can affect anyone at all.

Mining in Iran right now is less about hash rate... and more about uptime roulette. Between outages, instability, and conflict, your biggest enemy isn't difficulty, it's whether the lights stay on.

If you look at the leading mining countries, you will see that they are energy independent from Iran.

However, the production of components depends on Iran, because their energy resources are used in many industries, including mining equipment.
