Hello, i need help trying to understand the proper way to underclock gpu, i know its trial and error as same when overclocking aka silicon lottery.
I have tried reducing my core clock a bit and noticed my voltages are around the same and heat ouput is also the same. I want to reduce heat output basically, went as far as 60 points under stock. cant touch voltage atm, msi afterburner wont let me do it. i have a powercolor pcs 290
figure i probably have to reduce core voltage? less electricity less heat right?
wondering if reducing core voltage is the right way to reduce heat output and if anybody has a program to recommend, i did try afterburner beta but it expired and i never got the chance to try lower voltage. Although i do want to make sure its the proper thing to do while at the same time, i still want to reduce core clock.
only effect i seen from reducing my core clock is it improved my hashrate at most 10 points but with early 2 rejection in first minutes, i usually get one rejection every 1/2 hour to an hour.
