What is TARON? TARON is a cryptocurrency built from scratch in Rust, designed for sub-second transaction finality through per-transaction Proof of Sequential Chain (PoSC).
Every transaction is individually verified and finalized in under 60 milliseconds — no batching, no waiting for block confirmations.
Why TARON? Most blockchains force you to wait. Bitcoin takes ~60 minutes for reliable confirmation. Ethereum ~15 seconds. Even Kaspa, designed for speed, needs ~1
second.
TARON finalizes transactions in
under 0.06 seconds.
| Bitcoin | Ethereum | Kaspa | Monero | TARON |
| Finality | ~60 min | ~15 sec | ~1 sec | ~2 min | <0.06 sec |
| Mining | ASIC | GPU/Stake | GPU | CPU | CPU |
CPU-Only Mining — By Design TARON uses SEQUAL-256, a hash algorithm where each computation step depends on the previous step's result, making parallel computation impossible. A machine
with 1,000 GPU cores computes SEQUAL-256 no faster than a single CPU core.
This isn't a temporary measure — it's a fundamental property of the algorithm. No ASICs, no GPUs, no mining farms. Just your CPU.
Proof of Sequential Chain (PoSC) Unlike traditional blockchains where transactions sit in a mempool waiting for the next block, TARON's PoSC provides per-transaction cryptographic proof. Each
transaction is individually verified and finalized, achieving true instant finality without sacrificing decentralization.
