People have different reasons why they gamble, yet the major thing is to be truthful concerning your own purpose. To some it is just an entertainment, such like paying for a movie or a game, where the reward is the source of excitement. But others treat it as a means to attempt and make money, and it can be risky as the results are not certain and the house mostly has the advantage.

From my personal view, the approach that is healthiest is to only see gambling as majorly entertainment and just use funds you can bear to lose. If one starts relying on it as a means of constant earnings, pressure and losses may build up very fast. To know your purpose will help to set limits and avoid expectations that are not realistic.

The target of those who are called gamblers is to make money and you already know that. People are just beating around the Bush, talking as if they are not gambling for money but for fun. And I keep asking this same question all the time, that what is fun in losing money? If course everyone needs money for day to day activities, but since the money is not coming forth we find one way or the other to get it, either by gambling or by other business. Although gambling is like side hustle for some people while it is a major business for some people. But the overall people are gambling for the money.

I just see it as a way to have fun. It is not easy to accept loss but I take it in stride because I know losing is as much a part of the chance as winning, so it has to be accepted, and it will be more enjoyable when I can win.
It is rather strange if someone gambles to make money, I think they do not understand how gambling actually works, because winning is possible but losing seems more likely.

Sometimes what we consider strange seems normal to other people / other gamblers including for the purpose of this gambling because in fact consciously or not today there are still many people who try to make money with their gambling especially when their financial condition is indeed bad making the situation difficult for them to argue.
 
Even if you don't want to admit this but still there are most gamblers whose financial conditions are difficult always expect this and consider that gambling is the answer for them to get more benefits to earn money and support themselves.
 
Indeed, for us this will look strange but for some others this will be a normalcy and even this will be considered a necessity that must be done.

My purpose for gambling is to have fun,anything other than fun isn’t in my agenda.Though nobody would accept or tell others that they’re into gambling for the quest of money.Your perspective towards gambling could be different from other gamblers but your approach toward it could also be destructive if not done in a proper way.For instance,you may be gambling for fun and at same time you’re enjoying the fun but don’t let the fun overshadow your perspective by being addicted.In essence,whatever perspective you chose towards gambling do it responsibly.

Around my neighborhood, people see gambling as a game of chance. They agree to this without controversy or debate. They believe that even the person who wins the more in their midst does not have the monopoly winning, they see it as his luck leading him.
