Is this forum dead? ALL the posts I see seem to be from people with banners in their signatures and info block, trying to earn some Ad money?

I remember a few years ago this was a vibrant place, what the hell happened?

Forum is not a good format for conversations anymore? Everybody left for reddit?

With your return I'm anticipating you will begin adding to the vibrance and intellectuality of the forum and we see where it leads the community than casting words as though there is no knowledge adding discussions going on in the entire forum entirely.

Went through your posts and bulk of them are just about how you are persuading community members to take a risk of testing your unconfirmed project with their hard earned money. Could that be the a part of the vibrancy you are missing about the forum?

I have used reddit and this forum, and I can state that you can not match the Reddit to Bitcointalk, this forum ranks over it.

I see Reddit as way closer to a social media platform than this forum actually. Regardless of campaigns or not I've learnt a lot from this forum and I can say in terms of historical and organic information especially about bitcoin and the Blockchain this forum is the best I've seen.

The value of privacy and decentralization to the outside world ( by outside world I mean mostly off this forum) is weird. If you don't like here it's fine it's not mandatory.

Perhaps he's shocked that people are way more cautious here at the moment. Not some forum where you would just go and dump a post and expect to fish out a few individuals.

It depends on what you're looking for. When I see a topic that doesn't interest me, I simply ignore it. There are so many cool people and fun topics here that you can join in on, which makes the boring stuff irrelevant. Try to connect with people who share your mindset... shift your focus here. There’s room for everyone... and no, the forum isn't dead and it’s not going to die.

It's my first impression, I wasn't here long enough, maybe I am wrong. But it just seems that most posts are written just to say _something_.

These banners can't provide a decent stream of additional income, can they? So most of these people are probably poor shmucks from places like India and Pakistan, trying to earn a couple of bucks a month? Or are these really profitable now? What am I missing here?

I understand what you are saying. I know there are many people from India, Pakistan, and other countries where what they earn is enough to live for the month, so many of them create spam just to make a living.

But there are many good members from poorer countries that do not spam. The problem is the spammer, not the banner. Report their posts and you can help improve the situation.

Even a few years ago, there were signatures everywhere. When do you see fewer or no people wearing Signatures on this forum ?

And why do you see the wearing signatures and having discussions means that the forum is dead? I don't get this logic. If you see very few people being active on the forum only then you can conclude that the forum isn't much active but that is not the case. The forum is as active as ever.

Do you mean to say that members shouldn't wear any signature ad for the forum to be vibrant? Because from what you said, you didn't tell us what was happening then in the forum that's not happening now other than pointing out on the numerous accounts with signature ads.

What meaningful conversation have you started that didn't get meaningful engagements under it?

Have you toured around the technical boards of the forum and still didn't find any meaningful conversation?

If possible, I want to read about your full definition of vibrancy so we can know how to make it work in the forum.

Doesn't uBlock Origin already block signatures anyway? So just install that and you're good to go.

Let me also point out something you may have missed by mistake. You mentioned Reddit, but it is also possible to earn some money by making posts there. To do that, you can go to the bounty section of this forum, enroll in a bounty campaign and help promote the project by posting about it on Reddit. After making the post, you can bring the link back and submit it on the forum, through that process you can also earn a certain amount of token/usdt.

Good idea for you. you remember that everyone left for reddit. So, it will show that you are active here on the forum while also being active on reddit at the same time.

If you don't want to see ads banner, go to Profile >> Look and Layout Preference, check Don't show users' signatures, you wouldn't see signatures again.

There are avatars and signatures so OP can customize settings to disable visibility of other forum members' avatars and signatures.

Don't you think that there might be legitimate reasons not to use the old account, like lost access, for example? But why think when you can just post and earn $0.00001? What's the rate by the way?

You've summed it up perfectly. I actually think this is a low value thread but I am going to pass reporting it. Due to my long experience on the forum I am pretty sure the report was going to remain unhandled, probably due to the freedom of speech the forum allows, which is especially allowed on this section when there is something resembling forum criticism (I am not saying this is bad).

I see people with ads on their shirt all the time! They think it's a premium to have the brand name printed on it in a large font, so they can show off the fact that they paid more just because of that advertisement.
