Risk/reward ratio

In crypto land, do you prefer coins with a high risk/reward ratio? Or do you prefer crypto with a low risk/reward ratio? There are so many PoS coins to choose from, each with their own stake rates. Back then, there were PoS cryptos with an astronomical yield (APY). 808 and Tekcoin were one of them.

What's your choice? And why?

I prefer coins that are low risks, but altcoins can be disappointing because you can think the coin price is not really increasing or decreasing but later the coin might be very volatile than usual. Even see how solana moved in the last bear and bull market. The all time high was $260 in 2021, but it falls to $8 in 2022 and later increased to almost $300 in 2026. This shows how altcoins can be very volatile because solana that we thought its market cap is huge is still really very volatile.

I lean more toward moderate risk w/ reasonable reward rather than going all in on extremely high APY coins. I usually prefer projects w/ solid fundamentals, active development & a realistic staking model even if the rewards are lower. I’m not completely against high risk/reward coins. I just treat those as speculative plays rather than core holdings. My approach is mostly low to moderate risk projects for stability w/ a small percentage for high risk/high reward opportunities.

High risk high reward ratio but not through staking. These staking altcoins are giving out such big reward because they printed the token out of thin air. It's not a good investment.
What I mean by high risk high reward is trying out new dapps, burning money like trading perp and getting the reward out of it at the end of the campaign.
