First before going into bitcoin make your decision first are you in for longterm or short term.  If you are in for short term then you can be wary of market conditions  . Your aim is to avoid your money being trap in BTC for long so you will find means to avoid that and make profits while doing so , know that such method far riskier than longterm holding you shouldn’t be bother with market conditions all that matters is how long you can hold and are consistent you are with your accumulation.

If someone hold Bitcoin for the purpose of short-term, it will not be investing, it will be trading. Which is much more risky. Here you have to catch the timing of the market. But it is not possible to predict when the Bitcoin market will go in which direction. So investing in the long term is the most realistic. If you hold it for a long time, the price of Bitcoin is likely to be much higher after a one or two cycles. That is why we should keep the investing mentality. That is, even if you buy Bitcoin during the bull run, you should invest for the long term.

What I'm saying in nutshell is that, not all altcoins are bad investments. Altcoins like BNB, Ethereum has passed that integrity test and owning them shouldn't be considered as bad investments.

But if they had bought Bitcoin with long-term holding preparation and mentality, then later even after the price increased, he would have been in a profitable condition .

To avoid all these mistakes, it is necessary to give importance to some things. In any situation, if you invest, you should keep the mentality of holding it for a long time. You should do your own research and invest based on the correct information so that you never get scammed by investing somewhere like Altcoin. Bitcoin is undoubtedly the best cryptocurrency to invest, and  concerning the bull season, some investors like to invest when we are already in bull season, and is always investors with short term investment motive, and this idea of investing during the bull season is always wrong because you will definitely miss out on some good opportunities in the market. More also, investors who only invest during the bull run are always impatient and because they look for short term profit, they take their profit very early far before Bitcoin gets to it's all time high.
While Bitcoin remains the best cryptocurrency to invest in, very few altcoins are worth considering if you wish to diversify your cryptocurrency portfolio, such as ETH, BNB, Ripple and SOL and even while considering these altcoins greater percentage of your investment should be in Bitcoin.

I may fully agree with you that time or interval of investor holding is the real factor of panic or most losses in the Bitcoin investment where many got discouraged, one wrong decision is a factor to be properly consider because once it's wrong decision it damaged all that one have targeted towards the investment. Any short time holder should consider itself as more if trading or because the heart must always depends on luck and panic when the market wave is not in order, Bitcoin is not an investment which one without good knowledge will rush because it may even disappoint you not because it can't yeild to one expectations but as fast as speed of light where most investor think those heart that have considered it to be as quick as possible will end up been disappointed.

In the initial stage of investment, you will have to spend a challenging time because this is the time to gain experience about the market. In the initial stage of investment do long term projects such as DCA for Bitcoin accumulation and learn about the market and understand the intrinsic value of Bitcoin. As your knowledge is endless, you will get the evaluation of your experience in investment if you can accumulate Bitcoin with long term patience. In any price trend bear market or bull market you should work on implementing 4-10 year Bitcoin accumulating rally.

People tend to find quick profits tokens more attractive than something that is willing to pay but requires patience on a long term scale. In vesting on bitcoin is something that ones you understand how to syor your coins properly, then you have nothing much to worry but leaving your investment to yield for a long period of time. Altcoins are not advised. Even if you wish to diversify your investments, they should be done with caution. Don't invest in hyped tokens as most of those coins later don't end up well. They are usually rugged or after a bear market don't recover at all .

Bitcoin investment is like establishing ownership of an asset. If you compare it to the stock market or any other investment, it will not be successful in the literal sense. A trader who bought Bitcoin at the price at which he bought it will sell it in most cases after making a small profit and will not be hesitant to buy it again. He will keep looking for the DIP price to buy it again and will waste time but it should be remembered that Bitcoin price may increase to $150k or more.

Many people just prioritize going for quick profits investments which is just something negative to do because prioritizing quick profits investments will just lead into losses and regrets because many new project are just rug pulled and convincing projects that are ready to take advantage of us and go away with our holdings.
 Investing in this new altcoins and projects is very risky even if they tend to offer big value and positive rewards it very risky why not we just channel such energy into something more reliable and something more sustainable for us. Investing in bitcoin is quite reliable and profitable even if it deserve some amount of patience it absolutely worth it to me because when we invest in bitcoin at the right time we would absolutely make massive profits if the market goes positive trends.

That's why I keep on telling people that someone else should be the reason you invested in Bitcoin,if not someone else might be the reason why you will same your coins as well,
Bitcoin is a personal race, yes you can be inspired, but you should be the one to understand and make goals by your self, if your goals are not met there should be nothing that should make you sale your coins, and even when it come to buying, if you don't have a goal and your you expected knowledge and confidence is not met you shouldn't invest

Look, I may actually agree with the other points you gave to back up the subject of this thread but this particular point i quoted is absolutely not correct in many ways..

First of all is that, you are very wrong to generalize all altcoins as bad for investment, have you ever sat down to think or give a thought to the price that altcoins like ethereum began it's crypto journey from?
Have you ever given the same thought about BNB? How about the altcoin many of us consider the most useless altcoin - Dogecoin and other top meme coins like Shiba inu, pepe, Wifhat and the rest? Do you have may idea how much those who invested in this altcoins early and held for long made as profit at the end of the day?

And secondly, do you really think or believe that Bitcoin could have survived without altcoins? I guess you don't even know how good a role altcoins have played in getting bitcoin to the level it is today..
Don't ever advice people not to invest in altcoins, but rather, tell them to choose their altcoins for investment wisely.
