At first I also thought that Bitcoin was a Ponzi scheme, because imagine that we will use money to buy it even though we do not have it in our hands; then the investors only hold one reason why they will invest, and that is that the value will increase; there is no other reason.
But later on, with each passing day, I also realized that if Bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme, then why did its value increase in the market, and why was it even more enjoyed by rich people, and why did even other countries adapt it? These are just a few of my questions as to why I have stayed here until now.

Well for those who have never got the chance to know and understand bitcoin well, they are free to call it a ponzi scheme, but should we be affected? Definitely no, especially if we have known bitcoin and experienced on our own self how to be profitable with it, and there's no signs of being a ponzi scheme there, just a risky but a worthy investment in the end.
However, the way we see bitcoin today, not everyone will accept and recognize it. Some people will always see it as a bad investment, because they are anti-bitcoin and its also their right to criticize bitcoin the way they see it.

To some extent, any asset can be called a ponzi, but this does not mean that this asset is one. But what can be said for sure (based on historical experience) is that one should be extremely skeptical of everything that a statesman named Boris says or does. Such rulers appear in the most difficult times of great changes and the results of their rule are tragic. Boris Godunov - The Time of Troubles. Boris Yeltsin - the collapse of the USSR. Well, Boris Johnson's deeds are already well-known. Should I believe the statements of such a person?

Nah. Only expand onto them and verify the info they say altogether twice or thrice. Politicians know how to pour honey, but not concrete facts.

Does he understand what a Ponzi scheme is? Bitcoin isn't a company selling investors promises of incredibly high returns. There's no central entity managing funds or paying out profits from new participants' money - there's just an open market that determines prices through supply and demand. In any case, a Ponzi scheme is irrelevant in this context. He should learn more about this before commenting, as it's ridiculous for someone like him, yet he doesn't grasp such a simple concept.

Still disappointed with people’s opinion on bitcoin? Well I’m not disappointed at all because I’ve already and always been expecting politicians not to trust bitcoin or give a negative opinion about it, and since bitcoin has always been called Ponzi schemes I’m sure the prime minister is just one among many, bitcoin will still keep being an asset and a paradigm shift that most will not agree with even till death. A not everyone will like something which is fine, so don’t be disappointed instead spread what you know to counter their opinion.
Why I don't get discouraged or disappointed with people's opinion on Bitcoin is because their criticism seems to be making the system even stronger based on the fact that Bitcoin has been relentless on proven them wrong, it is very much ok if what you treasure so much Happens to be what the next person dislike and speaks against it, everyone should be on their lane and let's see who's going to laugh last, bitcoin is not a ponzi they should keep living in their disbelieve and watch out how is going to play out. I guess anyone can be entitled to their own opinion.

I think that older people don’t adapt as easily or flexibly to new changes in the world, because they are often less willing to dive into learning something new, as it requires effort and patience, and their brains are no longer as neuroplastic. New beliefs are also harder for them to accept. This may also be a deliberate move aimed at keeping bitcoin unregulated by governments for as long as possible, so that it can be used to hide corrupt funds.

They can go on and on to say what they think, that bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme or whatever they feel, but as far as I know, it is what it is. Bitcoin is not what we can look less on. For years, it has proven itself as a store of value and strong hold for financial stability I'm the future. So it's really there thought and a personal conviction. For me, I have seen bitcoin and I can't doubt it at all. So it's a simple thing for me, a consistent DCA buys and Hodling for long term. It's my thing, others can believe what they want

honestly, people making statements like Boris Johnson usually don’t go deep enough into the topic, so their views come off as superficial and kind of miss the point. That’s how Bitcoin was treated 8-10 years ago, but these days it’s rare to hear someone still calling it a Ponzi. the only exception is when influential people try to push the price down for their own benefit. Jamie Dimon from JPMorgan did that for a long time - calling Bitcoin a scam while his bank was quietly buying Bitcoin and investing in crypto companies. They even paid a record fine of nearly $1 billion for spoofing, but apparently that didn’t stop them from continuing to play the same game.

Politicians are exclusively stupid, it is not a scarce characteristic of theirs at all. They in fact have plenty of it.

I am very disappointed that a whole former UK Prime Minister does not actually know what ponzi schemes are. Or probably he does not know what bitcoin is. But at least he should know that there is nothing hidden about bitcoin investment like Ponzi scheme.
Regardless of what the former British Prime Minister said about Bitcoin being a Ponzi scheme or not, what is clear is that Bitcoin has now changed the traditional world into a digital one and Bitcoin has changed humans from a sector of public doubt about banks to digital banks that are managed by themselves without third parties. If Boris Johnson is disappointed with Bitcoin, we understand, maybe he was a prime minister who was disappointed with Bitcoin, but this is not felt by all Bitcoin users, we understand that, the point is that Bitcoin has proven to billions of people that it is not a Ponzi scheme.

Well, i don't hold any value to a person's statement about Bitcoin who is not deeply knowledgeable in cryptocurrency and is not trained to be an economist nor is well educated enough for financial sector. Although he is a previous Prime Minister, he is more capable in politics and public speaking. But indeed as a PM, he should be versed enough to differentiate Ponzi Scheme and Free Market trade, where the latter constitutes Bitcoin, which is very disappointing that he can't differentiate those two. If someone consider Bitcoin as a Ponzi Scheme, then he is just telling that everything in the market is a Ponzi Scheme.

There’s absolutely nothing new here, people calling bitcoin a ponzi scheme just don’t have an idea how bitcoin works or they’re just being ignorance. Bitcoin has been for long and with a good record, the market price might experience a dip for a while but, along the line the market recovers each price dip. Investors who understands the basic will never sell during the dip, this is the reason why people sell in loss because they fail to wait for the long run. Ponzi scheme in relate to bitcoin sounds strange because only a scam project is referred as ponzi meanwhile bitcoin is not controlled by anyone so I’m wondering why anyone will believe the guy portraying bitcoin as scam and the funny part is he’s not the only one speaking such negative words.

To be more precise, he only understood the ponzi scheme but only read about it in the news, then saw bitcoin without reading further and started speculating with his limited knowledge. Politicians like this will be laughed at by people who already know bitcoin, the expression is clearly a stupid joke, but it is actually dangerous for people who do not know bitcoin (supporters) because it can be a misleading understanding.

There is this general connotation I have observed with Bitcoin critics, the stupid ones actually. When they see that Bitcoin is doing better than what they have worked hard and it's failing, they tend to lend useless opinion about what Bitcoin is but give that same person Bitcoin at $10k, they will sell their properties and go all in Bitcoin. This isn't new, even the useless President of the united state once called Bitcoin all sort of names but when it's time for election, he made friendship with the devil BTCHe isn't the first person that has said all sort of names to Bitcoin, I remembered how many maximalist trying to bring lots of institutional investors from gold favorite investors and they openly rejected. Bitcoin has done more than what profit they would have earned despite this drop in price and gold hitting a new time high. It might interest you to see that another person will come tomorrow and says that Bitcoin is not good for our health, critics don't get tired of saying stupid things.
