If they will create a movie with bitcoin in the story, I do not want a Satoshi story. I want a funny story that will be a documentary type of movie that will follow the real lives of bitcoin holders.

A story that would be very funny is this husband and wife story heheheheh. This will certainly make everyone learn not to trust anyone, including your wife hehe.

A U.K. High Court judge allowed a lawsuit over the alleged theft of more than 2,323 bitcoin to move forward last week, in a case that highlights how the country’s legal system is still adapting traditional property law to cryptocurrency.

U.K. resident Ping Fai Yuen claimed in court filings in last week that his estranged wife, Fun Yung Li, used CCTV cameras in their home to secretly obtain the recovery phrase to his hardware wallet and transferred 2,323 bitcoin without his permission in August 2023, according to the docket in the High Court of England and Wales.

Choosing of Satoshi is huge problem since showing his face would destroy mystery and directors are thinking of trying to make him stay behind scenes, and instead, show work of early builders such as Hal Finney played by stars such as Cillian Murphy, or even show ordinary person such as Keanu Reeves.

Written film can be excellent way to learning more about Bitcoin since it pays attention to human needs of financial crash of 2008 and cypherpunk group, as opposed to technical details. I feel best choice is to show Satoshi in no way, but other point to code and global effect to show that Bitcoin is not about famous person, but an idea, but as an actor, Ken Watanabe would be an excellent choice to properly use his Japanese name.

Curious if there is any movie about the making of bitcoin? I have only found that one documentary of Finding Satoshi but I will be more interested in watching a movie about the makings of bitcoin itself. Just like The Social Network where it showed how Facebook was made and what events led to one another. I do feel that a movie about bitcoin would make people understand it better and would be entertained in the process.

Which actor do you want to see play as Satoshi if ever? Grin

If someone wants to make a movie about the history of Bitcoin's birth, then it will have to go much deeper, and the history before Bitcoin's birth will have to be known, which is still unknown, who Satoshi is still unknown. So if this movie is made, it will definitely face huge problems in reality, such as legal complications, and whoever plays Satoshi must wear a mask. Otherwise, they will have to face huge accountability before the law, because Bitcoin is currently at the top, so I think it will not be easy to make a movie about it.

If you see a movie about Bitcoin, don't take it seriously, because there is no truth in that movie. We don't have enough information about the discovery of Bitcoin to make a movie, even Satoshi didn't leave much information about the discovery of Bitcoin. To make a movie, you need a complete story, for what purpose? How? Through what struggle? And we don't have the correct factual story of why Bitcoin was discovered. If we see the correct information through the movie, it may not be decentralized anymore. Even Satoshi's character is not possible, it is unknown what he looked like or what kind of person he was.

The actual making of Bitcoin is for Satoshi to tell because it's his/her/their creation, but since he/she/they aren't around anymore, who will tell the story?

I guess the most that could be done is a sort of a documentary featuring those who corresponded with Satoshi before the release of the whitepaper in 2008 and the launching early in 2009. Even this could only shed a little light as to how Satoshi really worked on Bitcoin.

If there's such a movie, much of it is probably filled by mere assumptions and imaginations of the creators.

And that's the fun of it. there wouldn't be the "right" interpretation.

I think they will get those info on what so called expert on history of Bitcoin, but I don't think that they can point out the real situation happen since the real Satoshi is not around. Maybe what we can see is just made up stories to sensualized the movie and make it appealing to their audiences.

If they can interview those people those people working with Satoshi on early days of Bitcoin then this will make the documentary became more interesting.

Yeah the movie will provably like that and it will add up another speculation that will raise up more curiosity about the real identity of Satoshi.

This would be difficult but doable. I have read a little about bitcoin early beginnings and communication exchanges between the cyberpunks, Satoshi, and Hal Finney. If film makers in collaboration with bitcoin prominent early figures can piece it together, they will be able to recreate the whole conversation then and how it led to where we are now. However, it takes a lot of money to do such a project and the return on investment is what they'd consider- I wonder if would garner as much attention and viewership.

I Personally don’t want anyone to play the role of Satoshi. And I also have many doubts about a movie depicting the creation of Bitcoin given the limited information they have as a source for making the film. A movie like The Social Network probably had easy access to information sources for the filmmaking process. And the screenwriter could even meet the creator of Facebook. But they can’t meet the creator of Bitcoin in any way or even identify the entity behind Bitcoin. They can only make the movie with the information available which is limited. And there will be many missing parts in the plot or even they’ll have to fill in gaps based on presumptions.
