I can't quite understand one thing. In your project, users will send AI requests, miners will process them on their GPUs or CPUs, and the protocol will pay them in MAI for useful work. But why would miners agree to spend computing resources in exchange for rewards in these tokens? What would they need these tokens for?

I see that the tokens are supposed to be used for premium AI requests, access to advanced features, and staking-based discounts. But miners do not need discounts. They do not pay for requests at all - they process them themselves. So the tokens are not actually useful to miners.

The only reason miners might want to receive rewards in these tokens is governance power in the DAO. But how many of them really need that?

Maybe it would be better to pay miners in bitcoin? You could accept payments in any currency - even in MAI, which would at least give the token some purpose - then convert the received payments into bitcoin and pay miners in BTC. In my opinion, that would make the prospects of building a working DePIN much stronger.

Thanks for the detailed feedback — but I'd push back on several points.

First, miners can absolutely use MAI tokens for AI requests
themselves. A miner is also a potential user of the network —
accessing models more powerful than their own hardware supports.

Second — the core token utility you missed:

MAI tokens are the currency for NFT upgrades, merging,
and all future NFT mechanics. Miners who want to enhance
their Warrior NFT — upgrade it, merge NFTs, unlock new
features — spend MAI to do so. 100% of tokens spent on
any NFT operation are permanently burned. No exceptions.

This creates multiple deflationary forces simultaneously:

→ 35–99% of AI request payments burned
→ 100% of NFT upgrade and merge tokens burned
→ 10% mining reward reduction every 6 months

So miners have every reason to hold and spend MAI:
earn more mining yield through NFT upgrades, trade
rare upgraded NFTs on Solana marketplaces at premium,
and benefit from accelerating token scarcity as the
network grows.

The supply shrinks. The demand from AI clients grows.
Miners sit at the center of both.

Bitcoin cannot replicate this closed economic loop.
