The US-IRAN war isn't going to be over anytime soon and even if the tensions are lessened, the effects of it will be long-lasting ones, and oil prices are hard to come down to the level they were when there was no war or escalations. Also, this is for the first time, the whole world is affected by this war.
This war has totally changed the world, and now many countries are thinking in other directions on how to secure their oil and economy in uncertain situations such as these we are currently experiencing.
Yes I have the same feelings, Iran and US conflicts seems to be difficult to resolve. Intensity and tensions are increasing day by day. Both are not ready for accepting defeat, among all these circumstances new and high wave of inflation is circulating. No one knows where world is moving now for the alternatives. Right now increasing price of oil is becoming unaffordable. Barriers in Strait of Hurmoz is another creating pressure on the economy globally. May be in few months world would working in totally different way. Like after Corona world had shifted their traditional style to modern one. Same during or after this war world would shift their demand of oil to someone else. But situation could be difficult for the developing countries who have lack the ability to handle such emergencies immediate. This war will leave highly adverse affect on them Donald trump is very angry after their loss because he lose respect on International level because he gave many announcements but these announcements proved wrong and Iran is strong nation And they did not bend down and Iran is controling the price of oils and all World is depressed due to depression in economy. All people are trying to stop the War but Donald trump want to show his power because he is powerful person and always try to be dominant on opponent country. Oil is controling the price of things And all countries are facing inflatable due to action of trump. Trump is famous person and he is controlling the whole world.

Currently, the declaration is still active, but when looking at the attacks, the word “active” is ambiguous because they still declare their status with a peaceful declaration but still try to attack each other, which means the potential to continue to take up arms will still occur.
For now, we should most likely continue to prepare for the worst as the war is still on despite the previous peace agreement as the situation is still the same where both countries (more precisely 3 countries) are still the same with their respective arguments and this will never end until one of them surrenders.
It should be noted that no peace agreement has been reached so far. What the US and Iran have achieved so far is only a memorandum of understanding, extending the ceasefire for another 60 days to give both sides time to negotiate the final terms. So minor clashes during the negotiations are neither surprising nor alarming. According to the latest news, both sides have once again agreed to stop attacking each other and continue the negotiation. As we can see, neither side wants to break the ceasefire. https://www.timesofisrael.com/us-iran-agree-to-halt-hormuz-attacks-hold-talks-about-strait-in-qatar-on-tuesday-report/As long as they are not attacking each other directly this ceasefire would give some breathing to other countries that rely importing their oils in the middle east, though there are fear and there are chances that in any time this ceasefire will end, and it might be possible that one of this two country will start to fire again from one another we don't know what future will be but we are all hoping that if there's a chance for a complete peace that's more likely be for the whole world.

I think the current problem is not easy to stop. Trump wants to show his power and on the other hand, Iran is not willing to accept their defeat in any way. In this situation, the common people are facing the most problems. Trump cannot accept that Iran will control the oil market. That is why the war is still going on even after the ceasefire. If these two countries are not flexible in the situation where people all over the world have demanded a ceasefire, then it will be difficult to find a solution. One concern is that where both countries have officially agreed to sign a ceasefire and they suddenly attack without giving any message, the situation is really creating an even more worrying situation.

Rushing to sign a peace agreement when the conflicts between the two sides have not been thoroughly resolved will only create a false peace. Sooner or later, that agreement will collapse once again. Lasting peace can only be achieved when both sides resolve their core conflicts and reach genuine common ground, not by simply signing a piece of paper. So, a memorandum of understanding, a temporary ceasefire is essential. It gives both sides time to continue negotiations and work toward a lasting solution. Until a final peace agreement is signed, sporadic clashes are inevitable because the war is not truly resolved.

I have been listening to the news about a possible attack on Iran and this is not going according to the planned peace deal. The peace deal is not working at all and the two parties that are involved has been demonstrating muscles declining the last agreed peace deals. We don't know the contents of the peace deal but I think it will favour one of the parties more than the other and this must have been the reason why the agreed peace deal has not been implemented. There has been disagreement countless time which has made Iran leader to promise to continue the attacks on American vessels.

Where did you read that? Because, according to the latest news I have just updated, the only real flashpoint right now is Israel's declaration that Iran's new leader, Mojtaba Khamenei is a target to be eliminated. Iran immediately warned that it would retaliate strongly if Israel launched an attack. I have not seen any report today of direct attacks or retaliation between the United States and Iran. Iran will hold a funeral for the late leader Ali Khamenei from the 4th to the 9th, and let's hope that Israel will not take any foolish action. https://www.republicworld.com/world-news/israeli-threats-surveillance-risks-mojtaba-khamenei-to-skip-his-father-ali-khamenei-s-funeral-over-security-concerns-2026-07-03-131023

From the beginning I felt that this MOU was not to stop but to give pause especially when the Strait of Hormuz which remained closed would make a greater impact so this MOU was used as an excuse for the Strait of Hormuz to be opened but its nature was only temporary because the war would still continue. This is just one scheme for the U.S. and Iran to keep oil available (temporarily) while preparing for a bigger war as usual. On the other hand I still believe that there will be no word of peace until one of them admits defeat and that is a certainty that cannot be changed because even though at this time the supremacy of the USA will still be recognized but Iran is ready for war to the end so there will be no word of peace here.

There won't be lasting peace. Especially when Trump is determined to de-nuclearize Iran at all costs. He will use the temporary ceasefire as a means to build back strength and launch a new offensive. Iran doesn't seem it will hand over the nuclear material to the US, so the war will persist for quite some time. The farthest it can go is until the end of Trump's term (which is in Jan 2029). Or by this year's midterm elections if Democrats win both chambers of Congress. Pressure is slowly mounting against the US. Expect inflation to remain stubborn until lasting peace is guaranteed. The aftermath of the war? Countries abandoning the USD and seeking another alternative. It's already happening as we speak. Erratic foreign policies by the current administration is what's isolating America from the rest of the world. The Greenland issue, trying to make Canada a US state, etc. are one of the main causes of this. Let the world move away from Oil and the Petrodollar. It would get rid of many "headaches". Just my two sats.

Political activities such as this show the relevance of mutual esteem towards the territory sovereignty of other countries. Any leader of a country has to know that with a lot of power comes a lot of responsibility. In my opinion, peace is the ultimate goal, to which all leaders should aim. To not go to war is a worthwhile decision to be applauded in the future. Hopefully Trump won't lie again with this peace.
He won't lie anymore? And then my stomach hurt from laughing. That's his whole nature. He constantly lies and throws crap at the fan. Besides, he doesn't remember what he said this morning or a few days ago. He clearly has dementia. With a diagnosis like that, he needs to be removed from the presidency immediately and sent to forced treatment before it's too late, not only for America but for the rest of the world. He's insane.

Either there is no world growth or oil goes back up. They would need to bring on so much extra production which is not impossible but I haven't heard of that occurring just yet because distribution wise is still a backlog to clear before that. Meanwhile either the world economy needs oil because it has similar growth to before or its reducing and in recession.
The other factor is the national reserves and company stores of oil that have run down, if these are replaced and returned to full stock as you might assume occurs with a lower price then it represents some of the higher demand that would be normal and so higher price goes with that sooner or later. Or they try to do without but I don't think that happens. New production can take years, its not just a lever to turn on or off and that leads back to backlog, to satisfy all parties in a growing economy is going to be a higher price. I suppose we can consider alternate fuels but nothing is quite replacing oil and gas in all its unique features so far as I know.

The oil price in my country continues to be funny that follows the pricing through the MOPS. Despite that we're near to the pre-war price for oil, the price of oil here hasn't been par with the pre-pricing. And yet, there's another increase that has happened. To be fair, the price from the total of its increase has been down to 50%. But from the original pre-war price, it's still up by around 45%. And this is why we're complaining about the price, the commodities have risen but they never received a roll back because their reasoning is that the stock they have bought now is from the peak price of the war.

No one knows for how long this war can go on. It can be weeks or months. But a lot of people seem to think that once the war ends, everything will go back to normal. That is not the case. Oil prices are going up now and for every day that companies struggle to operate, the closer they are to bankruptcy. Maybe the big companies would be fine but even them are struggling. To expect that once the war ends, everything will go back to how it was before would be foolish. It will take a while for everything to go down low, if things were to bounce back to what we used to consider normal.
Hopefully we've reached a tipping point right now where oil will start to drift down again, but what we really need is for the Russian invasion of Ukraine to end. There are so many wasted resources in that war and unnecessary destruction that has the heaviest effects on those two countries, but also secondary effects that it causes much higher prices for many commodities. Ukraine and Russia used to provide so many resources like wheat, oil, minerals and other things but now are being reduced to bombed lands, all just to satisfy the ego of the pathetic man Putin. Hopefully the situation with Iran stabilizes further and they allow a return to normality in the gulf without adding extra costs to shipping, which would be passed on to every consumer around the world.

I agree that prolonging conflicts have consequences far beyond the countries directly involve and wars disrupt and reduce production and it also increase transportation and insurance costs, and create uncertainty in global market.

Today I read the news that Saudi Arabia cut oil prices by $11 for Asian countries. What does this mean, and what are the consequences? It follows that global prices for the black stuff will fall. Even a military conflict in Iran won't cause a high price. That time has passed, I think. Moreover, new supply routes will be built that bypass the Strait of Hormuz. There are still some players who dream of speculating on this, but they will greatly regret it, as they will be left without money. For some reason, this news passed them by.

Oil prices could stay very high for a while. This depends on global demand, production cuts, geopolitical tensions and would war specially Iran and Saudi Arabia. If supply remains limited or conflicts continue, prices may stay elevated. However, prices can also fall if production increases or demand weakens.

The US launched strikes against Iran, hitting targets such as air defense systems and small vessels, and, most importantly, revoking the permit for the resumption of Iranian oil sales. The US actions, they claimed, were in response to attacks on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, which the US blamed on Iran and further strained the temporary agreement. Iran called the US operation and the lifting of the waiver a violation of the agreement, and Iran's deputy foreign minister promised to take decisive measures in response. Well, basically, we are once again entering a period where lies will border on truth. And there will likely be many volatile moments, especially related to oil.

Oil is the most important factor right now, and looking at its price, everyone will be looking at inflation prospects, primarily in the US. As for the date, Khaminei will be buried in his hometown on July 9th. And then, most likely, the date for further actions will be determined. Again, in short, we're entering a phase where one statement will be contradicted by another. But, in fact, we saw all this very clearly just recently. The escalation has intensified, even reaching a fiery stage. Honestly, at one point, I believed it was already coming to an end. Hmm...

Now Trump has said that he no longer sees the point in negotiations. So oil prices are likely to rise again. The ceasefire has ended. This was expected, as such conflicts cannot be resolved through negotiations, only through military means.

Expect another sets of attacks from both sides, as the temparary ceasefire is now cancelled, with that exchange attacks for sure we will see more as Iran will not just go quite and let this they will start bringing their power to show up again, and regarding to this topic for sure that those who are compensating from this temporary ceasefire will again suffer from oil price hikes, expect massive increase once both US and Iran exchange their attacks from one another.
