There is a popular African proverb that says:

“A hunter who shouts before shooting the arrow, returns home hungry”.

US President Donald Trump has warned that NATO faces a very bad future if US allies in the circle fails to assist in opening up the Strait of Hormuz, in one of his media interview with the Financial Times.

I sincerely hope everyone who loves to be arrogant in nature is learning a valuable lesson with this current global conflict. That no matter how strong you think you are, one day a more arrogant and aggressive underdog who has nothing to lose and who is unafraid to die for a just cause will arise and challenge your authority. When that day comes, you will suddenly realize that you have been winning not because you are more powerful but because others decided to support you. When that reality sets in, you will suddenly recognize that actual power is in alliance, not in arrogance especially if you have built your influence for years on alliance just like the US.

For years all Trump has been doing is insulting and threatening America's allies. Just of recent he threatened Canada and made life difficult for them using illicit trade tarrif. Threatened and insulted NATO allies and cut off the relationship with them as well. Broke off from many international organizations.

Insulted the UK and claimed that all their support all the years was useless. That he didn't need them. Threatened to invade Greenland, a peaceful island that many people across the globe had never known existed. Threatened Europe. And now just like a clueless child he wants them to forget all of that and join him to fight a war of choice he clearly started on his own.

At least now he is learning that big lesson that arrogance didn't let him learn earlier. He thought he could govern by tweeting insults to countries. Now he has met Iran, an equally powerful and fearless country. He tweets threats and they respond with missiles. Since Donald Trump said he could do whatever he wants, alright, he can buckle up and go open the Strait of Hormuz.

Begging and talking to China won't solve it, because China's tankers are moving there. India's tankers are also moving freely. Other countries like Russia, France and the rest are negotiating to gain free pass as well. I guess now he will learn that geopolitics is not about who makes the loudest noise but about who has strategic leverage. There was a reason more intelligent former American presidents never went to war with Iran but preferred diplomatic solutions.

You can’t teach an old dog new tricks. Will Trump still learn anything new? He’s been in politics for so long that whatever he should have learned, he should have learned way before. The fact he hasn’t changed or maybe has even gotten worse is proof that he hasn’t learn anything. He’ll continue to be arrogant even if USA burns down.

He is way too stupid to be the president of America. Hot heads can not get cold feets and it is high time he learns that strategy is better than aggression.
He got into a war without carefully planning now all that he's displayed to the world is nothing but incompetence of the American army.
He will learn never to play God even to the least ally. Being stubborn is fine, but being stubborn and stupid same time is a fatal blow. Iran will definitely win the war and this will be the downfall of the United States.

Trump is like a kid who stubbornly goes to poke a nest of hornets even after being warned how dangerous they can be, only to go back screaming at the parents with frustration for not helping fight the hornets.

I would really love it if China and the group just decided to ignore Trump's request. Let him finish the war he started, let him face the consequences. It's not China that sent him to drop bombs in Iran unprovoked.

From how I see it, no one is too old to learn if such person what a change. But the issue or problem here is that this leaders are too used to their own thoughts, so it will be very hard for them to even listen or adjust themselves when the people expect a change from the or what them to do things differently.

Being a leader trump supposed to know that leadership is all about growth and having an understanding about what is happening at the moment. If a leader is not ready to bring it self down and learn then people will feel like such person is arrogant and don't want to learn, like the person don't really care about the whole situation.

Has nothing to do with alliance. You may be surprised that the western allies want similar thing for Iran but are pretentious about it. Part of their goal is to create anti Russian puppets who are loyal to the West in countries such as Syria, Venezuela, Iran, Cuba, etc but non of that is working. In the case of Iran, it's not just about nuclear weapon or threat to Israel, it's about the need to install puppet there. They tried to destabilize and capture Iran even before Trump came to power and they tried again recently before the current war.

The allies are actually part of Trump"s problem. They have their own agenda and don't like Trump because his agenda doesn't align with theirs

Trump mistake was going into Iran at the wrong time, and I believe he was misled to do so.. They told him Iran was planning to assassinate him, he probably believe that. And that likely contributed to the attacks.

Things would have worked out smoothly for him without necessarily attacking Iran, after the issue between Russia and Ukraine is resolved. The main reason Iran is stronger than it should be is Russia. Russia is so powerful currently that her allies are influenced by that power. The power is only necessary for the suppression of the globalist influence in Ukraine and the world

From what I can see, Trump is desperately calling for the support of other NATO allies in the war because the cost of maintaining this war is going ever the initial budget by greater amounts, I don't think he forsaw the Strait of Hormuz blocked as a strategy Iran would deploy and and it's really putting him under serious pressure at the moment.

Quote
The Guardian reported last week that the US spent about $2bn each day in munitions at the beginning of the conflict before spending fell to $1bn each day. The cost per day is expected to fall further as the war continues, unless the situation escalates.
Source
The war cost over $11.3Bn in the first six days and as situations are escalating in the Persian Gulf, Trump knows it would cost the US more to stabilize that area which is why he's calling NATO allies for help, same allies he constantly insulted in the past, he'll learn the hard way if they don't respond.

Iran is strategically extending this war knowing fully well that it would cost the US more to fight the war for a longer duration and this is the case as at now, and it's a major weapon against the aggression of the US. I don't think the US can afford to continue this campaign with high intensity for much longer.

The war with Iran will only cost the US money, time and blood but at the end isn't it what all wars cost? Would you prefer Trump ignore terrorists threat of Iran because the lilly-livered Democrats did?

Granted, his error is not carrying his allies along like president George W. Bush did but US is still capable of opening the strait of Hormuz in conjunction with Israel. It will only cost more but at the end of the war, Iran still would bear the cost.
