It's a funny experience, and I've had something similar. When you're on a long losing streak, you start to wonder if it's a coincidence. It's true, and we all, no matter how rational we are, will experience this cognitive distortion.
We'll feel like someone is deliberately trying to make you lose. You'll also have the urge to somehow "reverse" your strategy, turning your losing streak into a winning streak. This is also a crazy idea, and it usually ends in failure.

This has happened to me many times and it is unbelievable when you think having losing streaks is a coincidence and you confirmed that also from your mates that are gambling with you are also having the same worse experience like you do.
Gambling has so many phases and those that have not being in a condition when they are losing their bankroll consecutive will still be thinking gambling is for the fun.

I think this is nothing more than a casino trick to keep players coming back again and again. I've been through something similar. Just when all hope has been exhausted, a moment of victory comes along that forces you to reconsider your losing streak. None of this is just a coincidence. Luck has nothing to do with it. This is the work of professional psychiatrists who actively participated in the development of models of human behavior.

Hey guys, I want to share with you one of my experience I've had so far while gambling especially on casino games and I believe some persons might have similar experience as well.

You know gamble can be frustrating sometimes especially when you're on a losing streak and the funny part is throughout that session you might not have had a single win and the moment you start thinking of quitting maybe just giving it one last try, you just end up winning that bet and then you start feeling lively ones more. I've had this experience for several number of times and sometimes I wonder if luck can read minds lol Grin

Have you come across situations like this?
And did you continue playing afterwards or you just quit the session?

I also had a similar experience when I was lucky for a long time. And I managed to accelerate my deposit from $50 to $500. When I was a student at Dewi, it was really a lot of money for me. And one day there was a match in which I was absolutely sure and I decided to bet. In general, I made half of the deposit and ended up playing and lost half of my money. My mood was at zero. I even thought about giving up betting and gambling.
And I decided to place a bet where the odds ratio was 1:5. And I made a bet of $50, having no hope of winning. But in the evening I had 500 dollars again because the bet played in my favor. Therefore, your words are familiar to me in meaning.

Well, these things happen. Honestly I do feel that the bookmakers and gambling house do have a sharp nose, and can smell if gamblers are on their last dime, then they give you a little victory just to keep you hooked.

It's just like this phenomenon I heard one certain time. Some group of people conducted a test, they placed two sets of rats, on the first set, they provide food to them constantly whenever they go to where the food drops from, while on the other, sometimes it drops and sometimes it doesn't, at some point they stop dropping the food, the first set quit and left, while the other kept on waiting for it to drop.

Those little rewards they give at random creates a kind of addictive mindset to gamblers towards the game, so I feel it's a tactic to get gamblers hooked to gambling.

But I didn't have such strange coincidences, although it's silly to say that I was unlucky when I bet on completely hopeless dark horses. But as a rule, everything went without miracles. It seems to me that the ability to see unusual "attempts of gambling and betting not to let go of the gambler" with victories is more inherent in those who believe in superstition. There was a topic about this earlier, and it turned out that many gamblers are susceptible to superstitions and beliefs that luck can be caught by the tail. I do not condemn this in any way, it is a personal right of every person. I don't believe in this post, and I've never had such cases.

I don't really know if i will call it Casino trick or not because even when some people start gambling, some casinos will first allow the gambler to win at their first try and when they will be thinking it is actually easy and simple to win that is where the Casino will now step in and show them they ain't lucky enough and how terrible and dangerous casino can be sometimes, the person will lose all he or she has won and will start losing the money they came to play or gamble with. Sometimes when you have incur a lots of losses and you want to give up, I don't know if it's Casino that really does this or is just luck to win at the very critical moment and your decision and choice will  be countered.

You are speaking the truth, losing can really mess up one's head, which will be planting different ideas that is not beneficial to your lives but, you will give one the reasons why they need to keep gambling and chase after their losses, even when they don't want to and if one is incapable of controlling their feelings or emotions in gambling, especially when they find themselves in this kind of situation, which usually result disappointment, they might lose control if not careful or mindful.

Of course, anyone that's no longer enjoying the fun in gambling should quit because it shows that he's gambling for profit and that will lead to wrong decisions that will incur big losses for me. I gamble for fun making it difficult for me to chase my losses or feel emotional towards the outcome of my bet.
Personally, I think that those who should actually quit gambling are those who gamble beyond their ability to lose and are addicted to gambling, as well as those who gamble within their ability to lose in terms of amount but cannot entertain themselves from gambling, but instead feel stressed when they face losses.

In this case, I also ask them to take a break from gambling because they are not able to do the purpose for which gambling is originally supposed to be played, so there is no point in unnecessarily increasing their stress here.

Trust me, this do happen to everyone in gambling whether they are serious or just playing around. There are times that you don't know what to do even if you have won several times before. However, there is one thing about gambling, it's the day you don't bet you may even win. So instead of giving up and not betting again, try and improve your strategy or better still find another way to win, that's the only way you can enjoy gambling.

However, if you see that your loss is getting out of hand and you can't handle it again, the best you can do is give it some rest. Perhaps you should touch the grass and come back when you think you are fit to bet again but make sure you stay active in sport analysis so you don't miss some updates. Some of the ways to enjoy gambling is when you are upto date about matches and how teams played their match and not just by looking at stats alone.

So the conclusion from many similar experiences from cases like this is better to stop and calm down, don't be provoked by the delusions of the negative mind trap that will actually have a bad impact on us, after all there is nothing wrong with stopping and continuing again next week or whenever we want to do it again, this is very simple, but difficult for those who have been provoked by emotions and thoughts.
People like this must be given a hard slap to make them realize, advice alone will never seem to be enough to realize people with such madness.

In some cases, I get very happy when I win on such bets, but what I observe is that my big bets do not come at that time. I am given such an opportunity once in a session, but I am not given that opportunity again and again. Moreover, the person who cannot use the opportunity once loses again. I do not know how it happens in other cases. But in most cases, it is definitely a good strategy to keep gamblers involved in the casino. When a gambler is very angry because of a loss and is planning to quit gambling, then winning at that time, his angry mood becomes active in gambling again.

What I often do whenever I notice that I am on a losing streak , I just pause for one or two months. Imagine you didn't win after those losses , you wouldn't know how to stop , because your mind will still be filled with little hope that you will surely win whilst losing alot of your personal money. Even that small win you had can easily pull you back in, and most times it leads to more losses. What ever we want to do in life , we must always have a limit, you were just lucky to hit a win at the die minute , and I can see that you didn't have limits if you had we you noticed that you are at 2-3 losses you should stop. Little things like this can lead to addictions. Staying in control is more important than trying to win again.

I have experienced things like this before when gambling, after winning I don’t always stop gambling immediately, I will keep on trying my luck until when I notice that am no longer winning again before am going to stop gambling.

When you have been experiencing a losing streak, and you are lucky to start winning back, most people will just find it difficult to stop gambling at that moment, most people will just keep on gambling hoping they are already back to winning, just few sets of people are just going to take the win and stop gambling for that moment, most people will want to keep on gambling hoping they going to win more money. If am in a situation like this, am not going to stop gambling, am going to continue to see if am going to win more.

This has in fact happened to me before, when I start gambling. Winning felt like easy peazy, not until I started going deeper and deeper. The first few rounds I played, I managed to win effortlessly, and I remember almost thinking to myself that I’ve found an easy ticket to financial freedom  Cheesy but we all know how that usually ends, I kinda learned the hard way and that corrected my perspective from that to this.

I think gambling is only for entertainment, choosing gambling in the hope of making money is risky, no matter how much experience we have in gambling, you have to depend on luck to win, if your luck is good then you can win by gambling. I gamble with money I can afford to lose As a result, I can limit myself to my means, so that additional financial stress does not come on myself. I can manage gambling by keeping a cool head and following the right rules, so that I can maintain self-control over myself and enjoy the fun of gambling.

I think almost all gamblers will feel frustrated when they have to experience a long losing streak, even for days. I've experienced this myself and it's certainly not a pleasant experience, but it's certainly a dynamic that exists in gambling regardless of whether it's a game of chance or a skill-based game.

It is really unpleasant to experience consecutive losses that quickly deplete your balance, various feelings arise and sometimes unfounded prejudices can be expressed as you have said above. But the best advice regarding this is not to chase the win or don't try to recover the loss, close the game and take a break until the mood starts to improve.

The taste of the medicine is bitter, especially when the result is a sequence of bad results, which reminds us of another important lesson, to be realistic on risks involved. I think that negative bias usually arises as a way out when our sanity starts to fail as we sink into an abyss of frustration. You are correct that pursuing the win will make it worse as far as personal finances go. It will be well to pause and gain ourselves our composure again, and then go on.

Yea, losing streak I not a good thing and it's always better to take a break once you are experiencing this. Most times our lucky days shifts. You see some people trying to force their luck, hoping to win but at then end of the day, they only end up in even deeper losses. The best thing to do is avoiding chasing after losses. Just take your time off and do something else aside gambling. Like I will always say, if it's not possible for you to stop playing till your balance is empty, it's better to avoid deposits that's just too large. Deposit a small amount for each of your gambling sessions. Something that you know would be exhausted in a short while or would be enough to cover your gambling sessions. And once it's finished, you just call it a day..

Well, don't let your mind get troubled whether you stop gambling or not. In fact, when you gamble at the start, no one is urging you to continue. Making it stop is only you who can also decide. Let us be reminded that gambling is not an obligation where it becomes a hard decision to leave. We can do it anytime if we want.

At the end of the day, if we find that gambling is not worth staying anymore, then it is good to let it go. Making ourselves stay only becomes a burden to us. So, why not eliminate this if we want peace?

You're right. If gambling isn't your thing and you've actually lost a great deal of money compared to the few wins here and there. If you know gambling isn't worth your time or attention, then by all means, quit the activity.
For an addict, the choice to free yourself from the deep deep embrace of gambling is up to you. Gambling ought to be an activity for fun and relaxation and not a means to make an income from it. And with any activity, when excessively done, begins to affect the other aspects of your life. Gambling, when excessively done, could lead to financial ruin amongst other negative outcome. When you know gambling has started having a great deal of influence on you and your activities, it's best to give it a break. It would still be there when/if you decide to come back.
