Today I saw two interesting predictions on Polymarket
I just didn’t see one for Cristiano Ronaldo





But I’m going to ask you guys. If you were to bet, what would your bets be?
Will all three play in the 2026 World Cup, which will likely be their last?
Or will one of them be left out?

Messi and Ronaldo may be sure to play in the World Cup as long as he is not seriously injured, the coach will include him in the squad.

While Neymar was reportedly dropped by Anceloti due to unstable fitness problems ... maybe that's the reason why Anceloti dropped him... we know how Neymar often has problems with injuries to his muscles this is not just a short time but a long time and reduces his performance, even though I know these three players are old and not agile anymore.

Neymar is going to miss this World Cup; that knee injury basically ended his career. He’s essentially a retired player who’s still active, with no chance of competing professionally at a high level. Unfortunately, he’ll be out of this World Cup. On the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi will only miss it if they get injured, which I find unlikely, since both take great care of themselves and have never had serious injuries. I can see Cristiano playing until the 2030 World Cup, his fitness is incredible, maybe even better than the vast majority of active players today.

Messi and Ronaldo are definitely going to play if all other factors remain constant, such as no injuries. As for Neymar, I am a bit doubtful whether he will play even if he is injury free. His situation has been a little complicated with the past injuries, mostly at the club level, so he may lack the much-needed fitness. Brazil may not miss much of his presence or influence like Argentina and Portugal would for Messi and Ronaldo, respectively.

Neymar is the only that I believe will notplay the next World Cup... he has not played for Brazil team since 2023 and Ancelotti has said that he will only call him when he os tottaly recovered from your injuries and in "match fitness" to play. Neymar would certainly have a guaranteed spot, but I think the problem is not about this, but rather his physical condition.

I think Messi will play... my guess is around 80% because he is physically fit and certainly has guaranteed spot, but the only problem is that he has not officially confirmed that will play, so I am not betting with 100% of certainty.

And Ronaldo will certainly play, he himself has already said that this will be his last World Cup.

I know that Carlo Ancelotti is not in good terms with Neymar. And I personally don't like Neymar due to his unprofessional behaviour. But in sports, there is no room for personal bias. What I can say is that Neymar, at the moment is the best available footballer for the Brazilian national team. And I guess Ancelotti will put his personal grudges aside and include him in the squad. And in case of Ronaldo, I can't even imagine a Portuguese team without him. They did that stupidity during the 2022 World Cup, and in the end things didn't turned out that well. On the other hand, Messi is the player who can be replaced. There are enough younger players available in Argentine squad to replace him.

Messi & Ronaldo will play barring any serious injury before tournament.
Neymar case is the one with uncertainty , he hasn't played for Brazil since 2023 as he was recovering from Knee Injury but he did return for Santos on march 15 so it's all about how much game time he gets before World Cup.But his return to national side will heavily depend on Carlo who in my opinion not a fan of his attitude & might not want him in WC.In the End it all comes down to how much risk Carlo wants to take , if he goes without Neymar & Brazil goes out of WC in early rounds then it surely will be end of his coaching tenure.

I'm not sure for all three, only believe Lionel Messi & Cristiano Ronaldo will play the upcoming world cup as their last world cup. Neymar has a serious injury & he's not young anymore. I think he's more suited to being a streamer than a footballer now. Wouldn't that suit him better with his lazy lifestyle?

Polymarket also doesn't have good confidence in Neymaer based on user ratings, unfortunately even though he's a great player his constant injuries will keep him out of the game.
I actually hope Ronaldo and Messi participate in the games, just for the pleasure of almost certainly seeing them for their last World Cup as players, if they come on the pitch they will still provide emotions, a champion you will remain so until the end.

Neymar, the pretender, is likely not going to be featured in this coming World Cup. I don't even like his style of play due to all that theatrics he indulges. As for CR7 and Lionel Messi, both captains are most likely going to be featured by their respective countries. The only thing, to the best of my perspicacity, that won't make them play is injury. As it's now, both are in good shape and are actively performing well. Anyway, this should be CR7's last world cup appearance. Age isn't on his side again unlike Messi who's a bit younger.

I'm 99% sure that Messi and Ronaldo will be included in their national team squads for the World Cup. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that they will start in the team lineup for the matches. Probably Messi and Ronaldo would be used as substitute players. I don't believe that the national coaches of Portugal and Argentina would rely on 39-40 year old players to play full 90 minutes(or even 70 minutes). I'm not sure about Neymar being picked in the squad for Brazil. Brazil has lots of world class players and the competition for every position is furious. AFAIK, Neymar isn't in his best shape right now and his performance in the Brazilian football league is inconsistent.

For Neymar you can vote NO, Carlo Ancelotti have released the squad teams for two friendly match during the upcoming FIFA matchday and less possibility for him play in the World Cup 2026. No doubt for Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo because both of them as the captain for their national teams just an injury make them will not play at World Cup 2026. Neymar have classic problem with injury although right now on the fit performance and playing for Santos in Brazil domestic league but Carlo Ancelotti since appoint as Brazil head coach national team never giving chance for him.
I will vote No for Neymar and absolutely will not play at World Cup during Brazil have many top youth talent players at attacking line position, if most of them not injury during the World Cup absolutely not chance yet for Neymar.

it is not about doubts anymore if you ask me, it is about reality, he has been left out of the squad throughout the qualifications because of fitness issues, even for the warmups, he's not there and I do not blame Ancelotti for that since he is not really fit to compete. He is still young and may compete in subsequent ones, but for this 2026 world cup, the chances are really very slim.
Messi and Ronaldo are their country and coaches favorites to feature, but these would definitely be their last with respect to their ages of 39 and 41 respectively.

What I think is that if it comes to Argentine team, Messi still has experience and that will still carry him through. The bulk of expectations for the team will still be on his shoulder just like he helped the team with the last world cup, lifting the trophy. Personally, I will like to see Messi in the world cup as the defending champion. For Christiano Ronaldo, he is still full of strength and I believe with minor injury, we will still see him on the bench at worse senario. Neymar has been inconsistent with injuries and possibly going to be replaced. So two out of three, Messi and Ronaldo are highly likely to come for the world cup.

I believe Messi and Christiano Ronaldo might likely feature in the 2026 FIFA world cup. Messi and Christiano are still physically fit more especially in their club side, and without any injury that will disqualify them. Though, they are no longer as active as before but their experience and presence in the world cup will play a very vital role. In the case of Neymar, he would have been another experienced and influential player to watch from the Brazilian team but injury is likely to disqualify him.
Should these players feature in this 2026 FIFA world cup, other players should not underate them in any way, maybe feeling they are no longer active and therefore should be underated. These three players have good experience about world cup and have played it several times, because of their experience, talent and age, FIFA will likely treat them with preference and even though their won't be much pressure from them, there presence can be a threat to their opponents.

For now, Neymar seems to be struggling with his fitness and may miss out of the squad selection if he doesn't get 100% fit before then. It's a tough race for him as he is determined to make the cut, but injuries have threatened to end his career in recent times and it is a major concern.

If i were to bet, i would bet "YES" for all of players. As far as i know Messi and Ronaldo participation have been confirmed by Portugal and Argentina coaches.

On other hand Neymar is the only one that doubts me now. I watched Ancelotti's comment on Neymar says, he will play him only if he's near to 100% of his condition. So we have chance to see Neymar to miss this WC. Beside that i saw Neymar also says this most probably his last WC with brazillian NT. So it can give us a clue if he's gonna be a part of Brazillian NT.
However, i'd like to bet "Yes" on him caused by he seems focus to recover himself. So i guess he will play along with Ronaldo and Messi.

As for the one will be left out. I see none caused by this is their last WC. So they have to take part in their last chance in the biggest football tournament in the world.
