What makes a Legendary member?

This account Ambatman and Dirtykeyboard got me thinking again. What really makes a person a legendary member. The first account, Ambatman has an activity of 938 and Merit 1236 and 3004 posts And it's a Legendary member while the second account Dirtykeyboard has activity 954 and 1442 merits and 2279 posts and he is still a hero member.

What is the major factor that makes a person a legendary member, Activity, Merit or Post number or is it only given to the selected few by the management because it's the highest attainable rank in the forum?

After achieving hero member, the requirements for activity to becoming legendary is not certain. Just like act mentioned it's just a range so only thing that's certain about attaining the legendary rank is actually having at least 1000 merits and by then if you are able to get 1030 activity at most you should reach legendary.

Legendary by reputation is still a thing though honestly. The idea of the ranking system was that to achieve all these requirements you most definitely must have reached certain feats.

Sometimes when I see threads like this, I’m not too quick to judge them because I’m some rational thoughts, it shows that some newbies are genuinely and are humanly minded, once they observe something that does seem right in their thought they call it out in curiosity to get knowledge that’s something good if you ask me than the other part of the newbies who are really not new!!

Anyways, OP if you read through the link that _act_ gave you will notice the word “random” what means it’s not precise when you will hit legendary in the forum based on merit and activity, my legendary might not be your legendary.

Admin doesn’t hand out ranks to members. The merit system was introduced to reduce spam. You could read more about the merit system in the links provided. Rank is determined by both number of merits and activity. Even if you hit the required merit count and your activity doesn’t meet the rank requirement, you would not be able to rank up.

Legends can be legendary members in forum ranks that require activity points, merit points and these things only can be achieve by posting and time. Posting here means contributing great things in the community in a long time for getting enough activity points and merits. It's basically what legendary members are in this forum.

But legends can be something different. They don't need to be Legendary in forum rank but their contributions are huge, and recognized by forum community and even people who only know about Bitcoin or visit this forum as guests.

Like satoshi, Hal and more members, they are truly legends without Legendary member rank.

Some donators and VIP members became scammers but some of them are true legends.
