I will say maybe Nigeria is sharing common boundaries with Iran, Israel and US that is why we are severely suffering for the sins of others when we where not there it all started.  What politics is doing to Nigeria is what know one can say as if not because they involve it in every activity going on in Nigeria there wont be fuel scarcity when we have an active or functional refinery in Nigeria. Excluding the effects of politics i will say dangote himself is also one of the problem of the country as he is only interested in his selfish desires and never consider what others feels.
from the construction of the refinery the same set of corrupt men stole the country's money and invested in there without knowing the consequences of there action in the nearest future thereby given dangote an upper hand over them because he knows all there secrets that was why when Tinubu talked about his actions he imminently reminded his of the malta refinery,  even when pengasan, nupeng and NNPC speaked he reminded them all of there weakness and they kept quite.

I can boastfully tell us that this country Nigeria is highly rich in natural resources and shouldn't be facing hardship nor fuel scarcity this is a pure case of having water in abundance but couldn't get access to it, we have refineries but they are not functioning and the government keeps exporting this crude oil to foreign countries to refine for them, for something we would have been refining for our selves here with about four refineries in the country yet no one is functional.

Our leaders politicise with everything even when it comes to security matters in the country, few days ago bandits attacked maiduguri where they were fasting and killed so many Muslims leaving others with injuries and the president is currently in England enjoying himself while the country is on fire, are these the kind of leaders we want?, a leader that's not on ground to protect life and property of his people, Nigeria is weeping and needs revolution for things to change.

The truth is that our crude product are expected to rise since most of the petroleum and gass used in the country are imported back into the country, after it was exported as crude oil. If our local refineries where in good shape and are working, the war between Iran and US/Israel wouldn't have affected oil price in Nigeria in anyway.
The problem is our government, the country is suffering badly due to their incompetence or lack of concern in putting down our refineries in order, because if all our crude products were home made, and a ban was placed on sending our crude to be refine abroad, their is no way things like this would have affected us or the the price of our petrol.

I still don't understand why the war in Iran is affecting the price for fuel here in Nigeria,  a country that is rich in crude oil and now have a refinery in the country, so it still baffles me how this is affecting us in the country. I think the government needs to give us an explanation on why this is affecting us.
You are also very correct when you said that when the price of petrol returns to its original price,  the commodity that has increased in price will never return to its original price and the reason for the increase in price is because of the increase in the price of petrol. I think this is on the citizens that seize every opportunity to make money.

You are absolutely right, because if we can look back in 2021 when there was spread of covid 19 all over the world, see how Nigeria own dey different by manipulating the cases that are not exists just for dem to get share into them pockets.
It's  not surprising now that they are using this to pump up oil price. Na so dem de do, dem dey always looking for a small thing that they can use to full their pockets, and 2027 election is all what they face now and they have been planing for not to find a solution to our current challenges.

To maintain my sanity, I have gone way past trying to figure out what makes most of these political leaders(Nigeria and beyond) do the things that they do and I think you should too... Corruption isn't just limited to Nigeria it's prevelant in other countries too, but then again my own concern is that of my country, since that is where I as well as my folks constantly experience it... There are time I would push myself back and begin thinking of the so called fake promises that these leaders made to us during their campaign, and then I will try and check if they where even able to fulfill 1 out of that promises, and all those days really stressed me mentality, and I just had to stop... Let tomorrow just be better, I really hope it is
