Something big is coming


 I must admit I was very very impressed with what I have seen in your exchange platform.

They are doing very well I most say too, the exchange has no issues but I'm still looking to see any red flag but I have not seen any meaning the exchange is doing very well and they plan to stay in business for long, I believe they will improve more and become more better as time goes on.
Again I have not seen anyone complain about their service in this thread that is also a good sign because before i even thought about using their service I first checked all the comments made by people on this thread and that's one way to go about things in this forum.
Why looking for Red Flag, when you can actually be looking for a white flag which means that something is good for you to keep and continue giving it a try, personally I have seen everything that is happening with the project, and all I can see now is actually something that is very good and I have had to see the exchange several times now and all I can say is that it’s been something spectacular and something extraordinary, I guess it’s something I haven’t seen before so I hope it continues to become something that is very good and things doesn’t change soon.

You’ve pointed out some very important concerns. We reviewed and clarified a few parts of our wording to avoid ambiguity.
We have also removed same-asset swap directions to avoid confusion around the intended purpose of the service.

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback — these are valuable points for us.


I like the positive outcome and I think not all projects are willing to listen to the community's feedback and are willing to change things at this early stage of the project. Also removing same asset swaps and adding clarity to the language means you are really not interested in how the service is technically constructed, you are interested in how the service is viewed.

To me, that responsiveness is important most especially in a project that is focused on privacy where trust and transparency is very significant.  It will be interesting to see how 0trace further develops and continues to have the original aim to provide private and easy crypto exchanges.

Same here too I’m considering on using their exchange, I also like the fact that they are replying to every questions that they are being asked in this thread it is a good sign of rendering good service.
I also hope they will last with this consistency and efficiency they are giving, this brings me to a question I will love them to answer, How many years are you people planning on giving out quality service or staying in business? I know some people may think the question is not necessary but if they can give a honest answer to the question it will give people more confidence because a lot of people are scared of losing their money and no one can blame them everyone is security conscious.

They are all doing everything possible to make there exchange be the best and that is why they are replying to any customer that need assistance and is a good sigh of building good reputation with the customer. The way they are answering any questions they ask them and given good reply is bringing good trust and making many others people believe with them, because anytime you’re trying to build trust with people you need to be honest and always says the truth and people will do what you’re offering since they get your trust and you won’t disappoint them up. Otrace is really doing everything good to listing to others opinions in community and that will make you build your service well.

Therefore, we will continue exploring your platform and if we notice anything wrong, we won't hesitate to inform you.

However, i just took a look at your exchange and noticed that there is a sign in option. That suggest that your platform is not entirely KYC free, since you still collect some user information through account registration and log in. If that is not the case, could you explain why users need to sign in with their email address. Because your platform is still ongoing update process, i could not access the exchange.

After reading your comment i went straight to the exchange to see things for myself, and i saw the sign in option. So, i am curious as well to know why the sign in option is there. According to what i read from the op, users do not need to register before they can use the platform, therefore i am looking forward to see what the Octrace representative has to say about this.

No, we don't request the user's email address during the exchange process or to create it. We only need the payout address. That's all.

This a nice question being ask , @0trace in a privacy exchange like this one, consistency is the key to buit up trust. So just an insight apart of being active here in the thread replying fast, do u have any security audit plan or even a public road map plan.?
Because this will really give allot of your users assurance that you guys are her to stay for a very long time plan. This will help buit up confidence too, mostly for those who watch from sideline.

At the moment, 0trace supports crypto-to-crypto swaps only.

For example, you can exchange one cryptocurrency for another and receive the payout directly to your wallet address — there are no user accounts or balances on the platform.

As for buying crypto with fiat (credit card, bank card, etc.) — this option is not available at the moment, but we do plan to explore it in the future.

Yess you should think about it, because the problem most people have isnt the swap, it is the facts that all exchanges want kyc when using fiat to crypto. And when you did one kyc you are tracable

As for buying crypto with fiat (credit card, bank card, etc.) — this option is not available at the moment, but we do plan to explore it in the future.

This direct to wallet method is quite likely to work well with all of the privacy focused aspects of the project.  Without user accounts and stored balances, it eliminates an additional layer of complexity and provides greater control for users over their money,  it also clearly states that 0trace is not a traditional exchange service, but rather a crypto swap service.

Also, It will be really nice to see fiat support added in the future,  because it could make it easier for new users who are looking for a simple way to get into crypto, but my only worry is whether Otrace will still be able to maintain the same level of simplicity and privacy that the platform is currently promoting once that option is added.

This is a privacy exchange so we should be expecting nothing less. Basically, keeping it entirely based on crypto is the best move because when you start adding stuff like credit cards or bank transfers the exchange will definitely have to implement KYC and collect user IDs. And if I may say that would indeed kill the whole idea of a private exchange......

​Well Based on everything that I have observed in their exchange staying accountless and non-custodial is what their exchange service is aiming at. And while it's going to take a long time, hopefully the project's goals will be achieved that's all...

No, we don't currently have a mobile app. We've postponed it until the second phase of the project's development.
No, there are currently no country restrictions.
We use our own addresses for sending and receiving coins. We don't use routing.

Having a good Reputation matters the most because if a platform doesn't have a good reputation customer wouldn't want to do business with them I think that's what otrace is trying to avoid to that is why they have been transparent. Otrace representative has been working tirelessly in building customers trust and alot of people is beginning to trusts them for business. i also don't think otrace won't disappoint its customers,they have earned our trust and  so they wouldn't jeopardize all that their built just like tha because they good reputation would be damaged.

It is very important for an exchange to have a mobile app because it actually make things easy for people who are using them so I agree with you having a mobile app is very important because a lot of people prefer using mobile app to visit an exchange than using a website as for me I usually don't like using website to access any exchange I'm using I even wanted to inform them about having a mobile app so we can be using it.

It looks like they are always updating their system and this is a good one when people complain about a particular something about their exchange I think they immediately run an update on the system to ensure that everything is okay however I will advise that anytime that you people want to run an update please inform your customers in this thread and also on your social media through your social media accounts.
