The message is clear. Your rank is Newbie so they put this warning because you could be impersonating another member with a similar nickname, sending messages to scam others

After you are not a Newbie anymore the message will cease to exist when sending a private message

It’s simple, it’s telling other members that such users is newbie without any reputation and might have created an account to actually scam people because we have seen that in the past, this is simply telling them to trade carefully that scam isn’t regulated in the forum. Such that if that message is about anything related to introducing them to any service or you’re both having a business transaction it is worth to be cautious

This is by no chance discriminating all newbies but just a simple warning. It’s always advisable to engage with reputable members

If you rank to junior member, there will be not such warning again.

Admin know that newbies are the ones that spam people with unsolicited messages most would likely be the reason. Rank higher and enjoy the forum more.

The message from all newbies have the warning. They have to rank to junior member before the warning will stop showing.

That's not what he meant. This warning will appear if you receive or (maybe)send a PM from/to a newbie. This is a forum feature to prevent impostor behavior.

If you rank to junior member, there will be not such warning again.

This warning was still visible in a PM I received from a newbie last month.

It's a warning message that is deployed by theymos.

PMs from newbies now have a warning added to the beginning of the PM. The warning is actually added to the PM's text, so it won't be added to old PMs or removed when the sender leaves newbie status.

The warning is:

Nope. It doesn't matter whether your moniker imitates another's or not. It's a generic warning emanating from all newbie accounts.

To be frank, I don't know why that warning should appear when newbies send DMs to high ranked accounts. It should be to alert fellow newbies who, understandably, aren't experienced here yet. As for veteran accounts, we should know better when newbie accounts DM us, expectedly.

And yet, shit still happens, even to veteran users, which is why it was added. It doesn't hurt to have that warning visible to all users.
