Just as the mindset of helping others in a difficult place like trading is good, the limitations or risks you mentioned are signs of an experienced trader. But remember that the market is not under our control, so it is wise to take profits at the right time. If the market suddenly takes a U-turn even when it is close to take profit, the profits shown on your screen can instantly turn into losses. The market does not follow our words, so it is important to book profits according to the setup rather than sitting in the hope of more profits.

So since this is is a space for trading discussion, experiences, testimonies, education etc
I thought to create a thread where by forex or crypto traders can drop their before, (process, optional) and after trades with a very brief explanation for educational purposes,

This is more of our experience in trading and I will prefer it being only on cryptocurrency since this platform is known for that, also I don't know if many will be able to post their initial strategy or experience before trading and then still remember to come back here and give their post trading experience for others to learn from, except we are going to focus only on the past, which I believe almost everyone of us have something to say for others to learn as regards to what we have been through in trading.

I understand your point, but I'd like to share an observation that I made from monitoring the trades of some top traders in my country, although they trade forex mainly, but it could still be helpful for other markets you are in if you have a good account size and experience.

Since their strategy assures them 1:3 RR, they increase their lot sizes so that a 1:3 movement gives them a lot of profit. It could give them the amount of profit that you with a little lot size would get even on a 1:8 RR move.

What do you think about this?

I would not advise a new trader with a small account size to try that; those traders can do that because they have the capital for pullbacks.
It's understandable to ask newbies to not be too greedy, while they may or may not miss out on bigger profits, we are talking about something that is changing for the good times, and it is not really that crazy at all. We should be considering how things could change right now, it should not be really considered that much of a big deal, we should consider how things will be harder for newbies and for that reason they should not be considering greed as first option.

If you are a veteran and know what you are doing then chasing makes more sense because you are aware of the risks and you could do better with that, but that's only true if we are talking about something that is a bit more individual, and not suggested for newbies.

It's good if you know what you are doing, it is not good if you end up with mistakes. There are a lot of people who try to help others and end up making mistakes, that's why it is not really a smart decision to do something like this, doesn't really give you any good return at all. I would highly suggest that the best thing we can do right now would be to make sure we are dealing with whatever we can, and not really deal with anything further.

If you want to help others, that's good, but you need to be sure that you are actually helping others and not hurting their chances, a wrong suggestion, or a bad advice would mean that you are going to ruin someone's entire finances, so you are taking a big risk when you are trying to help.

The thing you said at the end is basically the reason why I never give trading or investment advice to anyone, especially newbies, because when you do that, you are basically responsible for whatever happens. In case they make profit after your suggestion, that is great, you will feel good and they will be very happy, however, if your suggestion or advice makes them lose money as a beginner, you are the one who is going to be blamed for it because they did what you told them to do.

Anyone telling someone to do something which involves finances should always make sure that they also mention about the risks and say that they should only do it if they understand the risks and are ready to bear any consequences that may occur.

I'm saying this because I have experienced such things in the past, and that taught me to never make financial suggestions or advice to anyone, whether they are newbies or already understand the market pretty much, because we all know that the crypto market is mostly unpredictable, and losses go side by side with wins, and anyone knowledgeable would understand this, but if someone doesn't have enough knowledge, they might think profits are guaranteed, so their expectations will make them hurt and they will blame you for it when they see the negative results.

The market can take a u turn at anytime and for you to safeguard the floating profits that you have already made through trading, you need to use stop lose to prevent the money from vanishing due to market volatility. It is not really easy to analyze trades and try to make money through your analysis. So many things can happen at anytime and bad news could make you lose money when you are not prepared against thes factors that can change the look of things within some minutes in the market.

Knowing the rules and the understanding of trading should be what you can use to help another person in trading, because without those understanding and knowledge, you can't be able to guide them very well through the journey, which shows that you also needs to be help. That is why its very essential for one to acquire the right information about how trading is being done, which will help one to understand the right techniques to use and when to apply them rightly.

Share your losing trades, not just your wins. Be honest about what went wrong
bad entry, greed, ignoring stops. That one post could save someone else from the same mistake. Small help, but real.
This is the reason we keep telling people to learn from this forum before going into trading, because some of the things that happened to some traders is what we are discussing here for some traders to learn their lesson. Greed is the major thing that is making newbies to feel trading is deficult to earn profit from crypto trading which is not true, because traders that have the knowledge of crypto trading are still making profit from crypto trading without losses.

The reason why some newbies are still finding it difficult to earn profit is that they believe that is very easy to earn profit from crypto trading, but if you exercise patience to learn to achieve the knowledge, it will be very easy for you to earn profit from crypto trading.

It is not just about this forum but the entire community part. Once a strong community gathers, they can share their knowledge and experience with others which makes those learn and start making profits. This forum is one of the best community I have ever meet as the knowledge shared here is really important. I have seen a number of newbies turning into a real trader just because they were active in this section and tried to learn as much as possible but not from everyone. Choosing the right person to trust and learn from is never an easy task as any community will be filled with scammers.

Sometimes, newbies can start making profit from day one but only if they have already spent a good amount of time in understanding the market. Without a proper research, newbies can make profits once or twice purely based on luck but not more than that.

We can't spoon feed anyone but we can really help them if we provide the right learning material. It is not that easy to start learning how to trade. There are hundreds of books out there along with a number of teaching channels. How can one find the right studying material in such cases? This is where professional or experienced traders should step in. They already have gone through the same routine and now know what needs to be ignore and what is really useful. If such traders can point newbies towards the right direction, it would be like a life saver for those newbies.

There are quite a few rules when it comes to cryptos but they are a set of important ones. Not everyone is aware about those rules so there is a huge learning gap here which can be fulfilled by the existing traders in the market.

Well, that's right but newbies should also be ready to take the risks and be ready to accept the outcome as well, because greed can cause one more of harm than good in one's life, which they are to be very careful in dealing with trading, especially as the market do fluctuates day by day, which they have to protect their lives first by not being greedy, which they are to avoid anything that will cause them to be greedy, which won't be a good result.

Greed is one emotional trait that is found in every living being, but when it's used or managed properly, it's not that of a problem. In trading you need to be greedy to win big or make a large amount of money in a single trade, so am surprised that most of us here are making it looks like being greedy is a bad practice in trading, so long as you are trading with a margin you can afford to lose, I don't think it's a problem if a trader decides to maximize his risk by holding unto a position to cash out Big, because I have come to understand that your high risk to reward ratio is what makes you profitable, not the numbers of trade won.

In my opinion, it is very good for us to help someone, especially when it comes to trading. If we are trading with someone and he is in a problem where he is not taking a good decision for trading, then in my opinion, we should give him good signals from our experiences, this will make it much easier for him to trade. In addition, we will have to see the pattern well, where the market will do what and how we can take profit from there, but one thing must be remembered that we will not be able to give signals and patterns with full profit. Along with this, we will have to advise how we can take ourselves towards profit and we should not be emotional with our knowledge. In this way, we can help people and we can also take profit from this. We will take it to profit with all our efforts, but we can also go into a big loss, so we should try. We should also have a graph with which we can easily draw a line, which will be more profitable for us.

That is why we need to have mentors when you're newbies to trading you need to look for someone that will be guiding you through so that any mistakes you so when analysis you can get assistance easily, because they are many traders that have already successfully in it already and they will have more experience then you. So is better you follow them and to be getting some knowledge with them and you can later become boss without anyone assistance. If someone that I no that what to start trading the first thing I will tell him is that is it ready to take risk because if you can't take risk you shouldn't go close to trading. He can lose everything he own in a little period. But if he can take risk he can fade the challenge and build is safe better.

Am ok with where you said if greed is been managed very well there is no issue about it yea you might right but do someone has to be greedy in trading? Even if we know that many traders are greedy, should greed be the practice in tradin, if you are trading with the amount you can afford to lose, I don't think it should be called greed I stand to be corrected on this, although understand that there is some point that one needs to pull with going further unless that is the angle you are going, if what you hinted on towards the last part of your comment is what determines traders frofitability in trading, are you advising people to take high risk based on that?

Trading is very difficult for beginners, so most of those who start trading do not have basic knowledge about trading. This is why they lose in the beginning. So I also think that newbie traders need a mentor, or now there are huge resources available about trading on social media, like they can learn a lot about trading by watching video tutorials, many experienced traders give a lot of guidance for free, but if you follow their strategies, it is possible to improve a lot in trading. But finding a good mentor is very difficult; there are many influencers who give wrong signals, and they also suggest buying many scam coins because they do paid promotion, so new traders should be careful of these mentors.

Influencer and mentor are different. We can tell from their habits when they share insights with other people whether they are truly mentor or just influencer who think of themselves as mentor. Like you said, finding a good mentor is hard because once they become well known, they often do paid promotion that give them easy money and they forget the responsibility of being a mentor. It’s better if we have a friend who has good knowledge about trading and ask them to teach us the basics and more advanced knowledge about trading. Later, we can repay our friend.

Some mentors are indeed hard to find, but online communities and forums can be great substitutes. Joining groups like Bitcointalk or Reddit's r/trading can offer newbie traders plenty of resources and support. Plus, networking with other traders and participating in Q&A sessions can help you learn a lot without a formal mentor

Some mentors are surely hard to find and at the same time some are just scammers that will take advantage of us and extort money from us. We should be careful and very research full of those we want to accept  as a mentor for our own benefits.
There are good mentors and God fearing one’s but many of them on the internet are just here to extort from us with the possible way they could and they never give a damn about us.

Forum like this can absolutely serve as a reliable source In our journey and there are many users to share their knowledge and experience without expecting nothing from you, and there are many more platform that can serves as a reliable resource to guide us.

Some mentors are indeed hard to find,
Though I think money is only the issue. Even for the best traders/mentors, I'm sure they can hard to resist if we showed them a big buck. With their great skill, they think this is only an easy money though. Now it only boils down to us, if how good we are at ingesting stuff. But if we want something easier as well, we can just ride other pro traders in exchange for some fees.

but online communities and forums can be great substitutes. Joining groups like Bitcointalk or Reddit's r/trading can offer newbie traders plenty of resources and support. Plus, networking with other traders and participating in Q&A sessions can help you learn a lot without a formal mentor
Yes indeed as they are free. And then it is not also hard to spot a mentor/trader here. Bitcointalk is more crypto related but we can't deny the talented people in reddit. The community is also much tougher or stricter than on Bitcointalk. So that means lesser frauds. On some Q and A, they can sometimes prepare a prize for the outstanding student. That is an added motivator for us.

You can actually trade gold on crypto exchanges as well. I sometimes hedge a Bitcoin downturn by going long on PaxGold (PAXG).

Right now, I'm planning to play the bounce from the 4,450 level and will hold my long position up to 4,600. I predict a wide sideways range for gold during the summer, with an overall upward bias. Just look at the US inflation data and the recent spike in Treasury yields—it speaks for itself
