The second phase of the airdrop won't necessarily be as successful as the first. If the first round is successful, the second round becomes a plaything for whales. Based on experience, not many Phase 2 airdrops manage to surpass the success of the first airdrop. 
Let me guess, if Hyperliquid releases a second phase of the airdrop, you'll have to spend more money because the higher your trading volume on Hype, the higher your chances of getting an allocation.

The question is, can you compete with the whales if trading volume is the benchmark for accumulating points?

Right, phase 2 is just over hyped and loses it's actual monetary importance. Phase 2 might still roll out but I doubt if there would be any profits included. Phase 1 was a success for early airdrop hunters which is the reason why others who missed the Phase 1 are keeping an eye out. They would jump into Phase 2 as soon as it is live which will exceed the number of users but will also divide the allocation giving smaller gains. It is always profitable to be first in terms of airdrops. Once the hype is gone, profits will be gone too.

Competing with whales is not that easy. We don't just need huge trading volume but also the ability to misdirect the whales in order to make personal gains. Many have tried but lost so it is well recommended not to chase whales.

^  Yeah, I heard Variational will be a good airdrop.  But I tried it for a little bit and I just can't enjoy trading perps over there like how I enjoy trading at Hyperliquid..

Hyperliquid has by far some of the best user experiences of all these perps dexs combined.  I'm just gonna stay and hope for the best. 

Yeah, Variational is gonna be a decent airdrop. It's now trading close to the 700m FDV at pre market, whch i believe it can surpass 1b FDV once it enter the major exchanges such as Binance and Upbit.

However, i know the UI and UX of Variational is not as seamsless as Hyperliquid. However, it offers opportunity to get pretty good sum of money by doing delta neutral.

If Variational offers 30% of supply for airdrop when it will be trading at 1b FDV. The total airdrop worth more than 300m, which is worthy to try. It's good to be an alternative trade for Hyper liquid.

Because the last few airdrop I did, the final outcome wasn't that encouraging, considering the kind of effort and work behind it, so since then, I disconnected from such activities believing that long gone are the days when airdrop where paying their participants well.
I can't really tell of airdrop outside telegram as of today, but the several ugly experience I had with the telegram mini games changed my perspective on airdrop generally, but it would really be interesting to know if their are still genuine airdrop projects out there.

Some people have abandoned Airdrop projects, and I know of them due to inadequate payouts. Why is this? The results aren't commensurate with their efforts, and the results are disappointing. What you say is true; some earn, some don't. It's no wonder Airdrops are now worthless, and their projects care more about investors than their communities.

This trend is seasonal, just like in 2015/2016: Airdrops emerged, then faded, then bounties emerged, bounties faded, and now Airdrops are back again, now Airdrops are fading. We don't know what the next trend will be: whether bounties with a new system will revive like Airdrops, or whether there will be a more attractive trend than both.

I personally believe that airdrops aren’t as profitable now as they were in the past, where there were so many airdrops that made it very easy to turn a profit simply by meeting a few relatively simple requirements to become eligible for rewards. But the current state of airdrops has changed drastically compared to before, where now it seems very difficult to make a profit from them or even to earn a decent return. I think project funding has a significant impact on the distribution of airdrop rewards. And the cake is getting smaller to be shared among the large number of participants joining these airdrops. On the other hand the massive number of participants who cheat during airdrops also affects the results. These factors make it difficult to get a return on airdrops that’s worth the effort. I’ve seen many people complain about these issues regarding the difficulty of profiting from airdrops. And they end up giving up on them afterward.

By 'significant', how much in USD are you thinking about?  My last decent airdrop was from Monad.  It was around 7k USD.  And the funny thing is they gave me that airdrop for being a Hyperliquid user and a Hypurr NFT holder.  Lol. 

But yeah...  Would that be an amount that you would say 'significant'?

Anyway, here's a chance to get eligibility for another Hyperliquid airdrop, if they airdrop a really significant amount like last time.

I have worked 5 years in airdrops but unfortunately i didn't earn a good amount of money 💰.i know that only people who has a big community's so then can earn A good Amount of money from their referrals . In airdrops. now o left Grinding airdrops.in 2019 i was working on bounties in Bitcoin talk that was much better than testnets and mining and socialfiy airdrops.

If any of you guys were farming GRVT. So i can say congrats. GRVT has concluded their S2, and confirmed they would be launching their token this month. GRVT is currently trading close to the 300m FDV at pre market, but this can increase when it's getting listed in proper exchange sites.

They're promised to distribute at least 20% of supply to this airdrop. So i think this gonna be a decent airdrop.

Did any of you guys try to get in the ANSEM token airdrop?  Ansem the guy was at Twitter a couple or so weeks ago asking for people to post their SOL wallets.  And the ones that did got an airdrop.  It wasn't much is USD at the day of the airdrop but at the current market cap, they say some of it are currently at upper 5 figures to 6 figures.  That's yuuuge!

Anyway, congrats to those who did get one.  I think I may have taken it for granted.  I heard about it when it was happening and I didn't bother to try...

I guess airdrop season is starting again.  Will not take anything for granted anymore.

Let's see if he does a better job with the project.  So that means if there were any plans of airdropping a Base token, it's gonna be pushed back for a couple or so years.

This is the reason don't put our hope to much for the launch of base token. Base token is basically not base's priority. So they can launch it in the next year or even next decades. The come of Cobie in the base won't impact it a lot.

The key is that just use it regularly with intention to use it because we need it. When the time will come, we will see Base token to be introduced.

Having lower expectation is always better. We have also another potential chain called Robinhood chain, which also possible to issue its governance in the future.

I've personally given up hope for the $BASE token launch, as the wait has become too frustrating. I don't know what their plans are, as BASE has so far focused on developing a diverse ecosystem. So, there's no reason to spend significant funds just to engage with the Base Token release.

Gone are those days I use to haunt for airdrops because I was still a newbie in the market, I didn't know my right and my left, just in the market roaming about and hoping one day, I did hit the lotto, made several gigantic profits from this airdrops, I can remember them as if it was yesterday, like the Apecoin, Uniswap, DYDX those where the airdrops that gave me a solid foundation in the market and also gave me a stand among my colleagues till today, that's why I don't joke with airdrops when I see one. I also make sure to make my research because one shouldn't be wasting time on an airdrop that's not going to hit big for us.

Airdrops, we do usually farm and complete their tasks on their sites, although it use to be stressful but all the hard work do pay of at the end of the day. Airdrop do usually make it worth our while because the rewards that follows is usually considered to be very up class and important.

I’ve been looking pretty closely at the Base ecosystem lately

First it really feels like they’re getting ready for a token launch

Second Base is pushing its support programs for projects quite actively and honestly the conditions look really good

Third we’re already seeing some solid projects coming out across different categories

I mostly follow exchanges and InfoFi projects

There are a lot of metrics you can look at but for me the main ones are user growth and real onchain revenue

Overall Base is definitely one of the ecosystems I’m watching the closest right now

This is the reason don't put our hope to much for the launch of base token. Base token is basically not base's priority. So they can launch it in the next year or even next decades. The come of Cobie in the base won't impact it a lot.

I just don't wanna be overthinking by having huge expectation, then the result will put me down to the ground. It's why having less expectation is not only good for us, but also good for our mental health.  

Beside that tradexyz seems good, but i always remember the pattern the only first one who created the trend is always the most profitable. So you're right about there will be no another perp that can be as big as hype, though trade is still worthy to use.

Nevertheless have you take a look at xstock? It seems stock tokenization narrative is getting bigger. Who knows it can also cook in the future.

Is it safe to recommend airdrop to anyone in this market condition?
Even the existing altcoins are suffering in the crypto market, and most of the newly listed project are nowhere to be found especially those coins that were gotten through airdrops, with all these, I am not expecting anyone to advise anyone on a specific airdrop because some of them don’t worth your time at all. I have been active in some airdrops for a while, but the outcome wasn’t nice at all, therefore, do your research and make your decision.

Five solid years wasted like that, all in the name of airdrop hunting, that's sad and regrettable bro, because if you have used that wasted years to learn a tech skill or learn a skill outside the tech industry, by now, you would have graduated and be a master of your own.

Long gone are the days when airdrop use to pay their participants good money, but right now it's a complete waste of time and effort, that's why I pity those that still take it serious, because they are just ignorant to the fact that the days when airdrop use to be lucrative are over. The worst set of airdrop is those telegram mini games that will be asking you to pay money to unlock some certain rewards, in some cases they will say it's for gas fee, so the earlier newbie especially understand that airdrop is now waste of time, the better.

It's trade.xyz and Hyperliquid season 2 airdrop for me.  Been saying this for awhile now too.  Lol.  But yeah, right now people aren't really sure if it's gonna happen.  And if it does happen, people are not really sure if it's gonna be another HL style airdrop.  It's gonna be decent at best , but not really huge and def not life changing.
