And from personal experience, I have seen gamblers saying that "if not gambling, they would died with starvation". Not necessarily that a gambler must win every day but they win once, twice or trice a week which they can use to buy food. And as for me anything you do to give you money once a while or regular and it is not your regular job is a side hustle. If this week is not good for you, it will goo foe another person and next week might be your turn.

You are not making money from gambling does not mean other are not cashing out. We have different luck in gambling. From all the examples I have shown. I want to know your experience and opinion if gambling is a side hustle or not. I need general opinion on the argument.

Anything that you do that is very risky like gambling can not be seen as a side hustle. Most people that are gambling are losing, so anyone that calls it a aside hustle is only misleading people.

Gambling isn't a side hustle (at least not for gamblers), and those saying the opposite are fools. Or they are being benefited somehow to deceive people, or they are just newbies who don't know how gambling works yet.

The reports from people who claim gambling is changing their lives aren't legit, because they didn't pass through proof of time. Those people are gambling for a week or a month on the best of the hypothesis, what means they haven't reached long term gambling yet, that is when gamblers start losing without any recovering chances by chasing losses.

Once those gamblers reach this stage, then I'm sure they will delete their past reports or share with the audience how regretful they are for believing gambling was a side hustle.

Gambling cannot be a side hustle because a side hustle implies that you have a steady income source from the activity in the first place. Calling gambling an income source is mathematically impossible. Anybody who treats or advises gambling as an income source should be held liable for losses of their viewers/fans. It is very damaging advice to give to someone.

The truth is that different people have different opinions and perspectives about things. It can be either, but only with certain conditions. You also need to stop believing everything you read online or on social media, people weave all kinds of stories for all kinds of different reasons. For a journalist who just has to crank out another clickbait article then it is the perfect heading that will draw visitors in, but there is no substance to it. Plenty of gamblers have a problem with lying, often to themselves most of all, in order to sustain their addiction and feel less bad about it. Gambling can be a side hustle, but most people connect that phrase with a solid income source and few people can reliably take away profits from gambling every week on average. The only time it is ever going to become a full time career is if you are exceptionally good at skilled games like poker. It's really not rocket science to figure this out, but on the flip side - these casinos aren't raking in hundreds of millions a year in profit collectively by cashing out winnings on a regular basis.

As for me, i treat it as entertainment caused by it's pretty much the same like a roller coaster. I said that caused by the income would never be consistent. So i treat the profit as the bonus when i win.

Some comments can be very funny, reading the part that says gambling is a sin got me wondering where the person got that from, it is all just a religious construct. Gambling cannot be a side hustle because you cannot get a guaranteed income from it. A lot of gamblers try to make gambling a means to get money on the side but this leads to gambling addiction or terrible losses in the long run.

I read one of the articles and there it wassaid that gambling feels like side hustle, and not thai it really is side hustle.
As for the claims that some people are in profit, I would be cautious of those claims and wouldn't believe them 100%. And if they really are in profit, it is only temporary until the losses balance it out.

Those articles are just marketing fluff to keep people like you hooked.  If you are "winning" twice a week but losing the other five days, it cannot be a side hustle.

I concur that the name side hustle is a good play on words to entice individuals that want to generate income in the shortest duration of time. When you end up losing more than you are winning in one week then it is evidently not a healthy way of managing personal finances. The opportunity to be lucky on a certain week is a thought that is actually a chain trapping people down and then failing to make it out of the vicious circle. Foolproof marketing tricks are tricks to avoid the hope of becoming humans.

It's not, but it's hard to convince people it's not. Anything that occasionally brings money is technically a side hustle for some people, and some people don't seem to accept that it's not going to be consistent flow of money, or they believe that it's just about practice to keep the money coming pouring in. These people see losses as some sort of learning curve for profits that they haven't yet seen.

Honestly, gambler's fallacy should be part of mandatory learning process in primary school of every country. Other wise it's easy for some people to get hooked on it.

This is a different strokes for different folks situation, and it is impossible for each of us to have the same preference about gambling being a side hustle, but one thing i am very sure about is that those who consider gambling not to be a side hustle make the statement because of the chance of gambler winning in very game and the level of how the house is not in favor of players.

They don't realize that the majority of gamblers lose money from gambling, and they are probably one of the very few lucky people that make a profit from gambling. Gambling depend on who is actually doing the gambling. There are many people that gamble for living, everything about them is gambling, morning, afternoon and evening is all about gambling and they make money from gambling, those people will gamble rather than do 9-5 if even it's a good pay job, this people don't do solo gambling but all about gambling and there are people that doesn't still make money from gambling and still like gambling.

There are some gamblers also that see gambling as side hustle, they gamble but it's not that frequent. They gamble when they like, they gamble when they are convenient and they don't put much stress on their gambling lifestyle. Those people just do it because they want to do it, even people that do it for money they don't invest in it like the other people, everyone just do their things the way they like and we should respect it.
