A girl gets a sack of drugs implanted inside of her and it bursts when she is attacked.  The chemical then raises her awareness and gives her supernatural abilities.

Morgan Freeman said something like "The average human only uses 10% of their brain, imagine what would happen if we used 100% of it.  Interesting things start to happen."

The title Lucy was no coincidence.  It's clear they are hinting towards LSD (nicknamed Lucy) as that chemical.

Actually, you're lying.  Squall never said to make each payment on the first of each month.  I've made one late payment.
