The thread was created by LoyceV and the thread talked about removing the Proxyban and the reason why the Ban is on some new account that is being created, so a thread like this should be pinned in the Beginners & Help Board so we won’t constantly be seeing thread being created by newbies to ask about the Proxyban.
Within this month I have seen 2 or 3 thread created just for this Proxyban issue, this matter is a very serious issue for newbies and the thread that has answers to all that, should be pinned in Beginners & Help board, it will help reduce thread created in meta board to ask about the Ban.

I don't think it's necessary IMO, Proxyban and evil fee exists for abuse of IP addresses that are banned from a particular region and over time, it get lifted.
If you openly make a kind gesture solution to the big problem of the forum for new accounts, the purpose of the help will be defeated and LoyceV might even close the thread and those who genuinely need it might not get the use.

There's no need to Pin my topic. Every proxybanned account gets to see a link to my topic already. I consider it a reading test: if they don't read, they shouldn't be whitelisted. I ignore many of the emails I receive just because they didn't bother to read the OP.

The reason a newbie is banned can directly be seen on their account when they visit this forum. It is located at the top part of the forum and housed in red so that the newbie can easily see it and the amount that can be paid.

But what you posted that is valid is that the thread can easily help newbies to send email to LoyceV so that he can whitelist their account for them.

Note that sending an email is NOT enough, I reject most of them. But I am quite proud of my stats:

• Total Merit earned: 17218
• Total users banned: 11

That means 0.76% of all Merit on the entire forum was earned by the users I whitelisted in less than 5 years time. And it confirms proxybans at least occasionally affect the wrong users.

The board is writen beginners and Help and if you are new on the forum and you are going through the forum to get a solution for something that happened while creating an account, believe me you will likely visit the beginners and Help because you believe as the name says you will find help over there, so thread like the one we are talking about should be in beginners and Help board because that’s where newbies with visit first and not the meta board.

I also reported this > CFP Bitcoin Scalability Workshop (Sept 12-13), Montreal Canada for unpin but it was not resolved so far.

Only LoyceV can know this issue better because if he wants to, he can pin it and if he doesn't want to, he can't. If it is seen from your point that there have been enough threads this month and LoyceV has already made this thread in a better way and it contains enough details, then we should not create new threads. The only way to avoid such a rush is to pin it so that the complete details about it can be seen from there. Such information that is necessary in our form, one of which is this, it is better to pin it so that more threads and useless questions will be avoided. Our form has a better performance on every question and also gives its solution, but some people have made it a habit and are wasting people's time, so I will also correct it for the reason that it is better to pin it.

There are five topics pinned to B&H that offer answers to most questions any beginner might have, but if you look back a few pages you'll see that many beginners are still asking questions that have already been answered. Moreover, in the majority of such topics you will find posts with the same pinned links, which means that many simply refuse to read, or are actually not beginners, but just trying to look like that.

There should be a valid reason to remove the proxy ban without paying the fees. Sticking this thread won't solve the issues because all the new users really don't deserve free proxy ban removals. Those users really deserve it; they will find and read this post, or some other established members will help them to unban.

I have helped a couple of users by PMing LoyceV, because I know them in real life and I know there is a thread to remove the free proxy ban. If the thread is stickied, then every new registered user will email, and it's quite impossible to unban them.
