Just like I saw a post yesterday about someone saying that gambling should be seen as a side hustle, it makes me think if that's what your brother was actually doing. You know people with that particular mentality will not listen to any kind of advice you offer them. Now OP my question is actually that why didn’t you tell him to actually stop gambling and should try to use the money to do business instead? Why did the first suggestion that you gave was that he should invest into bitcoin ( which technically is not bad), it’s obvious you’re telling him that coming to bitcoin he has a guarantee of making money from it and this is simply a notion to him that it’s more or less a less risky idea to gambling and this is actually definitely going to be giving him some high hopes.

Whether we kike it or not, the truth must prevail, and the truth is that gambling is not for every body but how can people quit when they are in already, it is very difficult to quit when you're already in, it takes whole lot of discipline to go on break and may be come later or quit totally if you know that it is not good for you.

I don't think investing in Bitcoin will solve this problem, because it's obvious that your brother is deeply into gambling addiction which he can never be interested for something that would take longer time before thinking of getting money from it. Honestly, things are actually going wrong for some people because I don't know why most people want to become rich overnight in gambling because it is very rampad in the gambling discussion which is very very wrong decision. Everyone has their reason for investing in Bitcoin. Some see it as a long-term investment. That is  they want to keep it for a long time or even use it for inheritance. This set of people might see Bitcoin as a means to secure their future like you said. Others have a short-term goal of making a profit from each circle. It is not wrong to target profit within a Bitcoin circle. However, it is wrong to have a get-rich-quick mentality about Bitcoin investment.
