What if you bet on those clubs to win and playing against a stronger or well build opponents and they lose the match, e.g., you chose Arsenal to win and they're playing against Real Madrid as we have in this last weekend, what then happens is you are going to lose the bet regardless.

If you apply this strategy blindly, you may not be able to break even for the season because some weeks Arsenal may win and Manchester City will lose or draw, only sometimes you see both teams winning their matches. Sorry to disappoint your expectations, even the best or top-ranked teams can lose trivial games, so what might be a "safe" game for you alone gives you a better chance of winning for team performance reasons.

Manchester citys win was definitely a surprise because for some time their performance has been very poor both in the premier league and the uefa champions league. At this point they would do everything it takes to make sure that they win every game just like you said but we still can't tell if they can keep up till the end of the season. They had quite a good start but after a while they started losing their games.

If we’re only focusing on the win rate, then sure, that strategy makes perfect sense. But personally, I’m not really a fan of it because low odds often don’t justify the long-term risk.

IMO, if you want to use that strategy, you have to be very consistent with the same stake on every bet. The problem is, as bettors, we’re not always satisfied betting low odds with small bet. Eventually, we tend to increase the bet size, and in the end, the losses can easily outweigh the wins.

Big teams are always favorites against weak teams, but that doesn't give the basic winning odds (2.00), let's say we get 1.2 in each match & we make 5 bets, in the 6th bet with the same odds it turns out the weak team makes a surprise by beating the team we chose. The way I see this, instead of going for straight wins for these major teams, I can bet both ways by betting separately that Arsenal wins on one ticket, and on another, that Manchester City wins and a third ticket for other betting options that doesn't include straight wins or losses.

Like I prefer tracking the last 5 games of a club to see how many winnings and losses they have in those last 5 matches and also compare it with the opponent team. If they have been consistent in winning the past three matches at least or have been on unbeating over the last 5 games then the possibility of not losing but winning is higher.

Am certain the Manchester City and Arsenal are going to drop points in the rest of their games before then of season but it wouldn't be much as in the games, it could be one or two games at most but a draw could follow in between. So this is what I think, as the season is moving towards the end of it the underdogs are actually the most dangerous rivals to play against since they're mostly struggling to get off from relegation zone, every match they would play like a wounded dragon. So at this period this strategy in the OP may not work at this time

This is basically best strategy to put the winning ratio at the top of everything. In fact the odds was not always small. We could get relatively big odds when Arsenal or City faced the top six clubs in EPL. Therefore, i believe it still gave us profit, though it was not as big as when we took other option.
Nevertheless, i remind you we're gambling to chase the win, and not to lose.
