Hi everyone Rod here,

I’m looking for a good wallet for USDT-TRC20. It can be a browser wallet, but it must work with Tor Browser. I use Tor Browser and prefer lightweight software with an easy setup.

Any other options you use?

Pretty much all multicoin wallets support USDT on Tron. OKX (extension), Exodus (desktop), Trustwallet, and the list goes on. I have not tried it myself but given that Tor allows extensions to be installed... I don't see why wouldn't they function? Have you tried any of them?

If being a mobile wallet not a dealbreaker. You got Unstoppable wallet. You could easily toggle the option to connect through Tor from the Settings.

IIRC, Cake wallet also supports that and it's available on more platforms (Mobile, Windows & Linux).

I think you need a desktop wallet that you will connect Tor to just like Electrum? I do not know any wallet like that, but you can make use of the browser extension on Tor which has been suggested above but you can use Metamask. I can not recommend it and the ones suggested above but you can go for Cake or Unstoppable wallet.

Cake wallet has inbuilt Tor. Another wallet like this is Unstoppable wallet.

What do you mean by renew the wallet? If you mean "restore" the wallet into other wallets then it's possible to do so yes.

To be honest, If you do care about security (as it sound like) it's probably best to invest into a hardware wallet like Trezor (Trezor suite support connecting through Tor)[1]

Correction for my previous post: Some extensions actually support only Chrome or chromium based browsers which Tor is not. so they may not all work.

Use the TronLink extension via Tor Browser (which is based on Firefox) by using Firefox Add-ons (Tor does not recommend adding extensions), or use Firefox with the settings set up a SOCKS 5 proxy on port 9150 or 9050 and ( about:config )  ( media.peerconnection.enabled to false )

EVM, Solana and Tron are different than Bitcoin (account-based vs UTXO-based). Wallets usually do allow you to get new addresses, but you basically need to create a new account. It's not automatically generated for you as soon as you receive funds as it is the case with bitcoin.

You mentioned many wallets.
You forgot to mention aqua wallet  which is a very interesting bitcoin wallet that also supports USDT in many chains and lightning network.

Most of the wallets that are available on Firefox based browsers only support EVM chains, Solana, and sometimes Bitcoin. The Trezor Suite app has Tor built in, but it does not yet support Tron. It should be added later this year, if you’re willing to wait. Your best option right now is Cake Wallet. Tron doesn’t have change addresses like Bitcoin does. You will have to manually create a new wallet and transfer your funds to it if you want to use a new address after every transaction. This is kind of cumbersome and you will spend a lot in fees, so I wouldn’t recommend switching addresses too frequently.

thanks for reply i just thought that it can be good to always change address as a security way.

I'm using TronLink for quite some time. For USDT, they have a "gas free" wallet, so basically you don't have to do staking and stuff to enable sending, at the cost of $1 per transaction. It looks expensive, but the actual fees on the TRX network are often much higher: https://gasfeesnow.com/

It may work on Tor Browser, but keep in mind that it's basically a Firefox extension.

Use the TronLink extension via Tor Browser (which is based on Firefox) by using Firefox Add-ons (Tor does not recommend adding extensions), or use Firefox with the settings set up a SOCKS 5 proxy on port 9150 or 9050 and ( about:config )  ( media.peerconnection.enabled to false )

https://support.tronlink.org/hc/en-us/articles/5354784172825-Guide-to-Download-TronLink-Extension

I don't use it on Tor Browser, but the user above said it works...

TronLink is a very well known wallet... but yeah, it looks like they have removed the extension. If you check the official website (and not the FAQ):

 https://www.tronlink.org/dlDetails/

You can see that they only have an extension for Chrome and Edge browsers. Nothing for Firefox/Tor.
