We may consider putting backup phrase in metal but the problem what about the people who don't have the tool to curve it, are they going to spend for the tools for it, on the other hand if they ask people to curve it it will expose the seed phrase to other people they might have interest and write it down, now its compromise.
Tools for "writing" onto metal are readily available as ready-made kits, or you can buy the same tools individually (which is cheaper but more time-consuming).
If your savings are at stake, you'll probably find reasons to spend money on this, not just for fun or another beer on the weekend.
You'd have to be a complete idiot to trust someone else with "writing" seed-phrases.
I would say its okay for people who have the equipment but for the people who don't have better find a way to keep the seed phrase, no need to be more complicated, make sure its easy for you to access and hard to others i just think that it should need to be simple, for us but harder for others to reconized.
Initially, it's acceptable to write down the seed phrase even on plain paper (multiple copies), but as soon as possible, it's safer to use a metal plate (as soon as possible).
Using a metal plate isn't a complication, but rather an increase in the security of the seed phrase.
Overcomplicating it for potential "others" by encrypting and reshuffling the words of the seed phrase can also hinder access to your wallet. Don't overdo it.
