Hello everyone,

I would like to share my situation and ask for advice from the community.

On September 12, 2025, an amount of 0.38389978 BTC was deducted from my HitBTC account while my account was restricted. I did not initiate any withdrawal and did not authorize this transaction.

Later I received a message from HitBTC claiming that some of my trades were considered “market manipulation”.

However, I want to clearly explain my trading activity:

I was doing manual spot trading only
I used limit orders only
No bots, no wash trading, no manipulation

The trades they refer to happened during a market flash event:

price dropped quickly
my limit orders were executed
price recovered shortly after

This is a normal market situation, not manipulation.

I also want to highlight that:

I have previously passed full KYC/AML verification
my account had no issues before
nothing has changed in my behavior

Since then, I have contacted support many times, but I am being completely ignored.

For reference, my support ticket related to this issue is:
Ticket#1654539

This amount (0.38389978 BTC) represents my entire savings, and losing access to it has put me in a very difficult situation.

If anyone from HitBTC is reading this, I kindly ask you to review my case and provide a response.

If anyone from the community has experienced something similar or can suggest what to do next, I would really appreciate your advice.

Thank you!

Here’s the Hitbtc Bitcointalk profile link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=194708

Their negative reputation is well known in the for having multiple scam accusation against them. They are not active here anymore to give feedback with your concern so the community can’t help you to recover the funds.

Thank you for your reply.

I understand that HitBTC may not be active here, but I still believe it is important to make this situation public.

My main concern is that my funds (0.38389978 BTC) were deducted while my account was restricted, and I have not received any explanation from support for months.

This amount represents all of my savings, and I am currently in a very difficult situation as I depend on these funds for my living.

I hope that by sharing this case publicly, I can at least bring some visibility to the issue and possibly receive advice from the community.

If anyone has experienced something similar or managed to resolve such a situation, I would really appreciate your input.

I think your accusation is the third on this month in this board regarding HitBTC and the pattern is quite similar except that the other 2 victims have had their accounts and funds blocked for 5+ years with so help from support

HitBTC is a high risk exchange that you should have stopped using way back because of the high volume of complaints regarding account blocks with no solution at all
Here are the other threads
1. HitBTC has been holding my ETH for 5 YEARS under a fake "AML investigation
2. hitBTC, give me my money back! Immediately!

They don't care, they just want your money and accuse you wrongly, as they did with many HitBtc complainants

Feel so sorry for you, brother, but they are known scammers. I hope your testimonials and experience will warn others not to use HitBtc

You did the right thing by sharing your bad experience; hopefully, someone can help you, but your chances are not good like all the others.

I know its too late now and I don't want to add salt on the wound, but why on earth you decided to keep your life savings on a centralized exchange, and even worse, on an exchange that has a very bad reputation and is know (among other things) for selectively scamming their users?

I am afraid that nothing can be done, other than this being a warning to all others that centralized exchanges are not banks and shouldn't be used as such.

Terrible situation!

Never keep life savings on risky centralized exchanges. Immediately document everything, escalate to regulators, share transaction evidence publicly, and seek legal advice or a crypto-recovery specialist.

A lot of people have definitely experienced something like this from HitBTC. They are selective scammers. I am afraid, there is absolutely no way to resolve this situation in here, your best bet is to take the legal route, but based on your location and cost of litigation, it would surely be troublesome to pull it off.

If you use the forums search button, you'd find quite a lot of similar threads of scam perpetrated by this platform. It never ends, basically because they keep getting away with being selective scammers. So sorry about your loss mate.

I feel sorry for people who put their money in a highly volatile market, especially in a dubious exchange like HitBtc. You should have diversified, but you chose to put it in a single exchange, which is a bad idea.

I don't think they will; they don't care about their reputation. If they do, they should have resolved old complaints here. It's good that you share your experience for reference. I hope we won't see another fellow putting all their savings in a dubious exchange like HitBtc.

That amount of money shouldn't be on any exchange at all, let alone more of them.

There is only once place to keep your life saving, and that's in your own non-custodial wallet, preferably hardware one given how cheap and convenient they are.

I wonder who advised you to put your savings in an exchange. There's a saying, not your keys, not your funds. and we've been told that we should never put big funds into exchange for safekeeping, I think you're being taught the wrong way on where to put your coins.
If it's your savings, it should be on a hardware wallet. This is a hard lesson, but you need to move on. HitBtc has no conscience; there are many scam reports about that exchange.

CZ maybe, lol. I mean, he once tried to deceive people into storing their bitcoins in binance, by saying that 99% of people would probably lose their bitcoins if they stored it in their non-custodial wallet. Grin The thing is, so many people erroneously believe that their money is safer in a centralized exchange and it is down to the fact that many of them do not want to take responsibility for their assets.
