I feel like I see the same playbook, a new casino with new bonuses, but the content is all the same, like same live games from the same providers, same "original" games but with just a different skin. I can't quite put my finger on exactly what I'm looking for in terms of "innovation" but it's just like, is there anything new for us or are we just stuck in our ways? I remember like at first it was just the classic games ported over virtually (think plinko, blackjack, etc), then I saw the newer games like "mines, crossy roads, etc" but then that's literally it. Is there like some multiplayer twist that could be added and make things fun, idk? A lot of the gambling sites seem somewhat isolated, which I guess is by design so you get dopamine trapped or whatever.

The main point  is we still get the satisfaction we desire from the casino games when we play. Regardless of any innovations  you are looking to see in them . Atleast it is a good thing that there has been bonuses.  Atleast that goes a long way to attracting people people's attention to the games.

Basically even on products too, people hardly bring up new type of product but what they do is rebounding and repackage.  Nothing new in the contents. Atleast the aim is to attract more customers and make it feel new again.  Nothing special in the original content.

As for my there are many new innovations. Any game I have not seen before and this is the first time I am seeing it then it automatically a new innovation game for me. Game Providers develop different games with identical features and that make it look the same but they are not. There was a lot of hype about VR technology at one time, but now that hype is not as high and in fact, we hear less and less about it. And that's why this technology, which is being tested on various casino sites, is not yet widely used. And I think that even if it becomes popular in the future, I doubt how much demand there will be for it.

And on the other hand, if I say that casinos mainly give more force to innovate in their strategies and bonuses and promotional activities and their user interface, and besides, although various games made by casinos are seen in different casinos, their quantity is always small. And it is natural that it is small because if we talk about game providers, they have created thousands of games there, on the other hand, it will not be possible for casinos to create these games in such numbers because it will require huge resources and which will again require a lot of budget and if the casino throws a lot of budget behind it, then they may face losses from their other investments as well.

It seems super hard to innovate right now and as soon as you do, there will be clones within a few weeks. There are only so many ways that you can reskin what is effectively a giant random number generator with a different front end. They all have fairly basic calculations going on that lead back to profits for the casino. The most innovation I've found recently is actually in the free games and opportunities to unlock bets without gambling much. VR was one of those fads that comes back around every 10-15 years with big promises but it never really meets the hype, you can see that by the fact that Mark Zuckerberg has just shelved the metaverse idea after spending close to 80 billion on it - but in fairness each cycle gets incrementally more impressive.

There are numerous of news casinos with their new innovations but I don't think if any of those new features have had that influence to drag players attention to the platform.

Although newbies out of their lack of knowledge are usually the type that considers casinos innovations interesting and so on, they mostly have time for innovations especially for high odds.
That alone can be a trap for the users.

Comparing 5 years ago we now have tons of more casino games, back in the day it was dice, some slots, plinko and few crash games but now if you look at slots the casino will have hundreds of slots and then crash and for other kinds too. Apart from VR, the first thing that came to my mind is AI. If I remember correctly, a lot of casinos are integrating AI into their system, using it for support or extra security in their casino. I also remember reading that there are casinos that started using AI to detect gamblers who have gambling issues. Basically, the all AI innovation(that I know off) in casinos heavily favors the casino.

Even if casino platform decides to come with new innovation that will be completely different from what other casinos are doing, people will tend to avoid them because they see something entirely different from what they are used to, and you know money is something very sensitive that can’t be left out just like that; therefore, joining the new casino platform that will have different interface, or new innovations that will be difficult because some people will think it’s a scam.

Therefore, it is better for casino platforms to stick to the same pattern in order to have customers that will come and play in their casino platform. No need of new innovations in business that will not give you more customers.

This is an interesting take, BUT, I think there is room for improvement, I just don't know where. Like AI, I think I could see some crossover of some porn dealer that strips as you bet. I get that copying the cookie-cutter a/b tested design blah blah blah is probably what will convert the best, but it feels boring and a bit flat. I'm also talking more on the consumer-end, like me, a customer of a casino and not necessarily the other way around.

Game providers are all alike, some games can't be innovated anymore it could be optimized to look different, providers could only change the color of the reels or the fruits, things as such to captivate players. Games like roulette already have a standard it must abide to, so is everyother game, the innovation can only be to implement an entire new game if possible. As for already existing games, providers will only tweak the look to appear different from other types provided in another casino.

It is not actually about innovation or lack of resources for casinos to seek new technology and ways to attract more gamblers into their services.
It is rather about casinos recognizing the most profitable way to operate is keeping things as they are and give people what they have always asked for.

Whether we like it or not, VR, metaverses and Web3 gambling are still a niche and won't give any meaningful amount of money to casinos as people continue to be okey with basic casinos and bookies.

I feel you are not enjoying playing in a casino because you are looking for innovation or something new. Casinos will introduce innovations if there is one, but they are slow to integrate them; they will have to ask their community through surveys because they know that the majority of gamblers expect the same interface and games, and they think that adding innovation to the games might throw them off their game. They are here for the games, and they always enjoy playing to be entertained and to make money, of course.

In the end, most casinos use the same providers and the same games, so the appearance, bonuses, and experience change more than the game itself. And blackjack, for example, doesn't have much room to stray from without losing its essence.

But some platforms are trying to innovate with missions, levels, events, and more "gamified" things. VR is also interesting, but it hasn't reached a very practical point yet, especially with real money.

For now, innovation is more in the way of playing than in the games themselves.

Of course they will be the same, when you go inside a land base casinos, you will feel and see the same games. So this is true with online casinos as well.

For VR, this could be the future, but it could be in experimental stage for now. If I'm not mistaken, we have a topic here with regards to that and if it is going to be apply in gambling. I say yes, but it will take some years to be developed by gambling operators.

I would like to corrected, if the integration of AI bots in casinos isn't innovative enough?
Perhaps you used too many casino platforms and it has gotten boring because of same interface and design and reward packages, have you considered gambling on the predictions market, maybe this could help you see innovation in gambling from a different and very interesting perspective.

Almost all casinos in every region operate with a certain license that permits certain kinds of games and packages to be open to the gambling customers and to go against this, is to face prosecution or fines that may affect the casino in a negative way.
